  • My z906 was shutting off with any button touch or audio playing. Watch the video for an easy fix. Not sure if this will help everyone but it worked for me.

    Thank you very much for your video! I have been using this audio system for over 10 years. The problem described appeared many times after a couple of years of use, but was solved by disconnecting the power. Today this did not happen, I spent several hours looking for a solution on the Internet, only your video helped. And now I know what this panel on the bottom of the console is for.

    Holy Jebus Dude, you actually helped me fix my old set, which been collecting dust for years, because of the broken control unit.
    Shortwired 1-4, 2-5, 3-6, gave it a friendly bonk on the top and connected everything.
    Now it just works - and saved me a fortune for a new speaker-system. Thanks a bunch mate.

    I had a crackling sound coming from all speakers. I clicked on my windows volume button and changed from one Realtek option to the second Realtek option (no sound from this of course), then switched back to the 1st one. The crackling stopped.
    Hoping anyone that comes here out of desperation when they have my problem sees this. If this doesn't work, then you can go ahead and try the above method. Though, I would like clarification on whether you switched the system on while the pins were shorted, Dory Hayes.

    Myplate power button dont work anymore like for years now so I heavily rely on my remote but last night my remote just gave up all of a sudden I thought my battery was drained but when I replaced with new ones it dont power anymore.. is there any advice on how I can fix mine ? I was already frustrated thanks.

    • @DoryHayes
      @DoryHayes  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Simplest solution to me would be trying to fix that power button. Generally power buttons are monetary switches that make a connection to turn on and again to turn off. If you can open the control box up you should be able to see the switch. If you can shunt across the switch the speakers should turn on. If it doesn't something else could be wrong. You might Google search replacing PCB power switch for a video.

      The three input lights at the bottom staying on means that there are two resistors burned out on the powerboard. R79 and R80
      They are 5.6 Ohm 3w rated resistors. th-cam.com/video/D3fBcxR2N-I/w-d-xo.html
