- I visited family in Ottawa late November, 1992. I borrowed my Dad’s camcorder and recorded my tour around Ottawa. The music is Nine Inch Nails. (You might want to mute the sound)
Here’s what is in the video:
Downtown Ottawa
Driving over the bridge to the South Side
Driving South to McKinley Road
The old homestead on McKinley Road
Driving through my old neighborhood
The path I walked to McKinley grade school
Shabbona School under destruction
River Park, South Side
Driving over the bridge from the South Side
Driving North to Norris Drive
Washington Park (I make a cameo)
Fox River
Ottawa Twp. High School
The view of Ottawa from the North Side
I want to recreate this drive once the Christmas decorations are up! Follow the exact route 😁😁
This is totally 90's and I love it!!
This is so cool! Thanks!
Wonder how different it actually would be if this drive was recreated today...
A school being built... 3o years later.
The brick side of a building... Painted with a mural.
Times & places change...
Thank you for the trip down memory lane. 💜💚💜
Nine Inch Nails.
That was awesome. My hometown. 1992 was my Freshman year in high school. At 8:04 we lived on 329 Midwestern av at the time. You were almost behind our house. Loved the old kroger on norris dr. A lot has changed near the mcdonalds. The eagle store and mall was nostalgic. I remember shabbona being torn down after the highway was done. Awesome video. Wow!!!!
I love it, not a lot of stuff has changed
Dude this is so sick!
Wow, very nice to see it when I was 1.5 years old
Main Street lights didn’t change a bit
