First heard about this segment when Adam Scott talked about watching this with his daughter on his "U Talkin' U2 To Me?" music podcast. Great clip all around, didnt disappoint, C+
These donut shops I guarantee had the coffee to go cups that we're usually blue? And they had the Greek patterns on the outside and it said to go...or coffee...
This makes me long for the days when independent donut shops were everywhere in New York, or at least when Dunkin’ Donuts still had counter stools and actually made the donuts in the back
It's a shame that all these old school donut shops have vanished from NYC (possible exceptions: The Donut Pub and, in Greenpoint, Peter Pan). Dunkin', Krispy Kreme, and trendy newer shops rule the city.
Admit it, this one didn't quite work. They could have stuck Zsa Zsa in there and it still wouldn't have worked. It's not great, and that's OK! They can't all be great!
Always loved the segments where Dave would head out to visit the different little businesses. It felt like the flavor of New York.
As the "Shaun, Stratford-upon-Avon, England" that requested this video, I can confirm that this has made my YEAR!
This is why I love the Dave Letterman show!
It's good to be reminded of Dave's weird, silly and hilarious early days.
Simple, wholesome, good comedy is just like good donuts.
Nothing funnier than an interview when the interviewee doesn’t realize that the interviewer is only playing serious for comedic reasons.
This segment is a freakin cultural time capsule
I love how they all seemed to act like they were under oath. lol.
This is both surreal and hilarious!!😅👍🏼🙌
I think Merrill Markoe said once how beforehand she would comb the yellow pages for stores or businesses with potentially amusing names.
I'm always amazed by how much so many people are completely uninterested in what they do for a living.
1:52 Hambueger - I love it!
How many donuts a day?, "oh, about ten hundred fifty thousand🍩🍩"😄
Gawd I love these early remotes lol - thx!!
Leave it to Dave to take everyone on a tour of his neighborhood on TV.
I'm crying. Ha ha ha! The dead seriousness makes it more awesomely hilarious.
Did Dave say, “Put your feet up on the folks?”
That checks out.
dave king of late night
'All the time Donuts' 😆😅🤣😂
Also I'm tempted to get a donut now since it's. Friday, in honor of fluffy donuts. I just did my resistance bands and morning aerobics though.
It's Friday and I missed my donut, I had cake though at work? I'll remember on Wednesday😁

Long live, Larry "Bud " Melman!!!
Dave was always Funny with a Quick Wit.

I have dreams about donuts ❤

I can't believe Eric Wareheim runs the Dream Donut shop
For your health.

And now we are stuck with dunkin
The innovator
3:50 - Aruba Beach Bum! She's cute, but Aruba? I've been there and it was hot and very windy. Not planning to go back.
Jim's Donuts in Vandalia, Ohio
What happens Wednesday and Friday? Shouldn’t the doughnuts be just as fresh and fluffy Saturday to Tuesday - not to mention Thursday?
Oh wow ... Greek veal doughnuts. Opa!
I just ate 50 donuts and am still hungry.

lol
Now I want to donut and I don't even like donuts
2:21 That is a bum
"what's your real name, Nick?"

Don’t you hate it when someone gets powered sugar and jelly on your exercise equipment? Fortunately that never happens
God bless the hard-working men and women of the donut industry. We are forever in your debt.🫡 🍩
