the reason why Nile is my favorit all time band. my three favorites are Annihalation of the Wicked, In their darkest Shrines and Those whom the god detest.
Nothing, Karl has almost all the vocals on this track. I said "almost" because there are a few guests on here, one of them the ex. bass player Jon Vesano, and the two other guys whom i don't remember the name who sing the clean parts If you want to hear Dallas's vocals on this record, go to soundcloud and find the song named "The inevitable degradation of flesh" on the Nuclear blast records page Cheers :)
first time i heard this song i became a little skeptical. but everytime i listen to this it gets sicker and sicker, them vocals, those angry fucking screams and brutal growls, heavy riffing, really, this is exactly what i wanted to hear from nile
The great one has fallen on his side Swarmed by the eight crocodiles I know them by their names and lives I save my father from them Crocodiles of the west Who live on the unwearying stars Detestation of you is in me The Nau snake is in my belly Your flame will not be upon me Crocodiles of the east Who live on mutilation Detestation of you is in me The Nau snake is in my bowels Your flame will not be upon me Crocodiles of the south Living on feces Smoke and want Detestation of you is in me My blood is not in your hand I will erase you I will erase you Crocodiles of the north Living on the waste between the stars Detestation of you is in me Your poison is in my head A scorpion writhes within me I'm glad with the magick of Re What exists is within my grasp I'm heard in the house of the great one Who destroys the living I am Re Who protects himself Nothing can harm me I am Re Who protects himself Nothing can harm me I am Re
That is completely okay. That is something I can respect. You did not say anything foul. You just said it is not your style. I have it the same way with hip-hop. It literally makes me sick.
The lyrics for this song come right out of Spell 32 of the Theban Recension of the Egyptian Book of The Dead. It's part of frickin history. People, stop beating on Nile lyrics.
Ahahaha, I meant Jeff. In my opinion Nile or more talented, but they also site Slayer as a major influence in their playing style. So, believe what you want to believe. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing both on tour.
I would also like to deliver the argument that Nile has always been good at transcending its own borders. Yes, fucking transcend them. Had they followed the secure path, they would probably only have produced the 2-3 albums, Karl Sanders spoke of in an interview. You have to understand that while one might say Nile plays deathmetal, in essence that is a etiquette that is attached to bands rather than an etiquette that defines the limitations of musical expression.
you have to remember that this is not full album quality. i love this track, but can't wait to hear it on the actual album. like everyone else is saying, it sounds very reminiscent of their earlier work.
I do not know the bands you mention very well (C C & S) yet I really enjoy the experimentation. Both Nile and Morbid Angel deserve that space. I love MA's new album. I find it refreshing and experimenting. I find this track exactly what Nile needs in order to transcend to an even higher level. Forget the traditional death metal restrictions. Transcend the borders. When they do that they tend to produce refreshing music which is needed now and then.
I don't really understand why it matter what age I am based on my behavioral aspects on the internet, I'm 15. I'm actually surprised that I could understand what you said. I bet whenever you speak to people in public, you just take the words, chew them up and spit them out, much less speak the damn language. Your attempts at trying to hurt my feelings and tell me what age by the way I act on the internet are just hilarious. Really, please continue.
Ya know, i'm glad that Nile changed their sound a bit. They have furthered themselves even more from the Tech Death scene. There are too many bands releasing generic, run of the mill of the albums and are turning an otherwise great genre of music into a cespool of cliches and and mindless brutality. This is simply my opinion and I understand that many listeners are into mindless brutality. That's fine with me because you are more than welcome to your opinion as well, not just me.
Wow, this album is much better than the last one. All my problems with TWTGD have been perfectly addressed (no more pointless, slow transitions, every motif smoothly transitions into the next) It is almost as if they listened to my tortured screams of boredom throughout that album.
Actually if you'tr not into Death Metal I can see where he's coming from, not saying anyone's wrong here but this section definitely has a thrash element to it> 1:30
Think whatever you want. It means nothing to me. Your lack of substantial arguments really leaves me with nothing to debate. Admitted, I wrote something very aggressive. I will say one thing. I think it is a great track. It is refreshing. Whatever you think about me, you can do all you want. I am just amazed by your elevation of the norms and rules of the genre to the role of limiters of artistic possibilities.
There is rhythm. If you can't make it out then it's down to your inability, not the song. And music isn't all about some lovely singing. Just stick to whatever radio rock 4/4 shite you normally listen to. That seems to be all you can handle and that's my personal fucking opinion :)
it has a very nice rhytm just that your mind is too slow to comprehend it. speed is relative you can easily slow it down with your mind. if you want shitty music try chelsea grin. music these days wil apply to that nicely
No duh there's no comparison. they're 2 completely different genres dude and just because they are more technical does NOT mean that they are better. Not by a longshot my friend.
Jesus Christ dudes...how about this? Let's start off the New Year with some common sense and be cool to our fellow metal heads. Relax and have a shot or two and then some beers...cheers.
Nile is one of those band that never released a bad or even mediocre album.
Indeed.. Every single album is a masterpiece..
the reason why Nile is my favorit all time band. my three favorites are Annihalation of the Wicked, In their darkest Shrines and Those whom the god detest.
This song deserves a like, a favorite (twice), and a replay.
This is Nile perfectly - it is such a evolvement of their technical sound.
This is a really good song! Nile never deluded me, from 1994 demo to nowadays!
Love the clean vocals in this.
This is the second time I listen to this track, and I am even more amazed than the first time.
I am not sure about anything, but I got the chills of listening to it.
One of my favorite bands !
Nothing, Karl has almost all the vocals on this track. I said "almost" because there are a few guests on here, one of them the ex. bass player Jon Vesano, and the two other guys whom i don't remember the name who sing the clean parts

I absolutely love this! It sounds like their older stuff!
I can't get enough of this song.
Best album song!!
first time i heard this song i became a little skeptical. but everytime i listen to this it gets sicker and sicker, them vocals, those angry fucking screams and brutal growls, heavy riffing, really, this is exactly what i wanted to hear from nile
Wuhaaaat? SINGING in a Nile song(not that I mind)? That's awesome!
nile is always a catchy tune
The great one has fallen on his side
Swarmed by the eight crocodiles
I know them by their names and lives
I save my father from them
Crocodiles of the west
Who live on the unwearying stars
Detestation of you is in me
The Nau snake is in my belly
Your flame will not be upon me
Crocodiles of the east
Who live on mutilation
Detestation of you is in me
The Nau snake is in my bowels
Your flame will not be upon me
Crocodiles of the south
Living on feces
Smoke and want
Detestation of you is in me
My blood is not in your hand
I will erase you
I will erase you
Crocodiles of the north
Living on the waste between the stars
Detestation of you is in me
Your poison is in my head
A scorpion writhes within me
I'm glad with the magick of Re
What exists is within my grasp
I'm heard in the house of the great one
Who destroys the living
I am Re
Who protects himself
Nothing can harm me
I am Re
Who protects himself
Nothing can harm me
I am Re
Awesome Song!
This is pure Ambrosia!! \m/
have to disagree with you man! for me its sounds amazing, it sounds like some kind of ritual. and really took me to an African village atmosphere.
That is completely okay. That is something I can respect. You did not say anything foul. You just said it is not your style. I have it the same way with hip-hop. It literally makes me sick.
possibly the best song from this album
The lyrics for this song come right out of Spell 32 of the Theban Recension of the Egyptian Book of The Dead. It's part of frickin history. People, stop beating on Nile lyrics.
like the new vocal brings me back to the old school nile when there were 3 differente style of vocals great!
Ahahaha, I meant Jeff. In my opinion Nile or more talented, but they also site Slayer as a major influence in their playing style. So, believe what you want to believe. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing both on tour.

Nile 🤘
really diggin this.
Im gonna to buy this album ;] must have it. Great track by the way .
you have to remember that this is not full album quality. i love this track, but can't wait to hear it on the actual album. like everyone else is saying, it sounds very reminiscent of their earlier work.
I honestly agree with him. It just sounds like "uuuuwhuuuuwhuwhuuuwhuu" but the rest of the song is amazing.
Well put =)

love it.
This album is fuckin' brilliant. One of my favorites by them for sure.
NILE > ALL
Tell them man, long live metal.
I just pre-ordered the digi pack. Can't wait to get it. Fuck yeah!!!
Slayer is a major influence for almost any death/black metal band these days. I can hear some slayer influence in these Nile lead riffs.
Summer Breeze!!
Nile's song lyrics are very interesting.
I already preordered the digi pack, fuck yeah!!!
you have to pay close attention to hear the progressions in the guitar parts, its not just noise
Cool song
Oh my fucking god.. Fucking awesome song!

@CardgamesonYoshi Actually, the drummer is Greek, I looked him up. The band started in America.
Actually if you'tr not into Death Metal I can see where he's coming from, not saying anyone's wrong here but this section definitely has a thrash element to it> 1:30
"I am Re"
Star Wars The Farce Awakens.

NILE!!!!!!!
so true !
this is gonna be fucking awsome !
fucking great!!
yeah !! rawrrhh !!!
I THINK NILE AND KRISIUN ARE THE TWO BEST BANDS OUT THERE RIGHT NOW.BUT DON'T CUT DOWN SLAYER!THEY STARTED THIS....
I believe in the studio it was Karl, but live it's their new bassist Todd Ellis.
Think whatever you want. It means nothing to me. Your lack of substantial arguments really leaves me with nothing to debate. Admitted, I wrote something very aggressive. I will say one thing. no shit shirlock! lol I was saying that Slayer influences alot of death and black metal, never said they were black metal haha
If the video would be available in better resolutions you could read the interesting text at 0:22 much easier.
and i shall raise myself up to sit upone the throne of sludge and decaying carcass.
cant wait for their 2 set tour man im going to tear that venue up
Maybe true but it still sounds similar and you hear the Slayer influence
North Carolina
OMG 0:38 that is fucking bad ass!!!
and it's Karl Sanders' band, an American.
detestation of you is in me

Listen to 1994 's "Worship the Animal". They're not new vocals.
if you like the old school nile from Festivals of atonements etc you just like that album that kind of vocals is not new for them
Definitely not what I was expecting. Not sure if I like it or not.
The fiends who come to steal the skullet of the not yet deceased
it has a very nice rhytm just that your mind is too slow to comprehend it. speed is relative you can easily slow it down with your mind. if you want shitty music try chelsea grin. music these days wil apply to that nicely
Nile lyrics get much weirder. Check out Black Seeds of Vengeance or Hittite Dung Incantation.
huh for real though major agreement
this is nothing like slayer , this is way more intense. slayer is like britney spears compared to nile lol
He knows something we don't.. bag him.
Oh, I thought that's what he said...
Lizards rock ! 2:23
@MrLuxaras What is your problem? So what if I got the wrong information? It's nothing to get upset about.
No duh there's no comparison. they're 2 completely different genres dude and just because they are more technical does NOT mean that they are better. Not by a longshot my friend.
Slayer is Thrash Metal. Nile is Technical Death Metal with Egyptian influences. How in the world does it sound like slayer?
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII am reeeee!!!\m/ who protects himself \m/
@lordifrit69 I know it doesn't, I'm just saying.
This is EPIC ლ(ಠ益ಠ)ლ
Sounds like slayer
one of them (Kollias) is actually Greek :)
no its a guest appearance. can't remember who tho off the top of my head :/
Agreed, I also found myself very bored at timess with TWTGD.
Epic Americans who play Egyptian metal
are you high, clearly they have a strong influence for the beetles.
3:44 omg
im a croconile
You should give him a MISOGI...shun goku statsu? xD
I used to FUCKING HATE death metal. But after listening to music like -Nile-... I have been mistaken my whole life
and a greek drummer! lol
I wish they didn't change the vocals :(
Jesus Christ dudes...how about this? Let's start off the New Year with some common sense and be cool to our fellow metal heads. Relax and have a shot or two and then some beers...cheers.
12 people wants to be erased
