They are balanced to the teeth. This means rule-sets are set in place to create fair gameplay for everyone involved. Sometimes we do this "dynamically". For example: Maybe a low ranked team would start with pistol only, then get a specter and light shield. After switching sides they maybe can full buy, etc, etc. This gives a sense of suspense to the video as the opposing team would slowly face an increasing challenge!

There's a huge difference between radiant/high immo vs low immo/high ascendant. However, I think an ascendant with full confidence can be just as cracked as a high immo.
Or they're as good as high immos or radiants. Like phoenix was literally carrying their ass.

yeah i think he heard the drone and figured he had a timing to dodge the drone and take a 1v2 instead of a 1v3. insane play to think of in the moment and to execute properly

Am I the only one who doesn't like the commentary? I would like to watch the match without u speaking in the background. No hate to u tho. Just prefer the old style of videos where u just used to give the intro and outro and we could hear their comms throughout the match.
I agree, the commentary doesn't really add anything to the gameplay and at times it feels very biased (like for example in the NA vs EU video).
It feels like Valorant Curios is trying to become more like eggwick and somewhat failing at that.

@@cheetos8114 I wouldn't put it like that. The quality of the editing has definitely gone up (even though they sometimes overdo it with the memes in my opinion), but it's a different style of video that a lot of viewers, myself included, just don't enjoy as much.

The difference between higher ranks is not aim, its game sense and movement literally.

There's players like the Phoenix who are high ascendant and I understand their frustration on their beliefs of deserving radiant, but they are usually only good upto immortal, then they need to work on their rankups to radiant, I understand his frustration cause he really does deserve immortal and further, but then there's players like the killjoy who maybe occasionally get good games but aren't consistent (not accusing of anything) may even be boosted or just get easy games and think they deserve radiant, in all honesty players don't deserve anything, valorant isn't a gift shop you have to work for what you want, and unfortunately whilst this is the truth: Some people have it easier than others, I've been hardstuck asc 3 but I think this is my current peak rank as I genuinely feel I can't surpass this as of now, my skillset isn't good enough. The transition from Asc to immo gets way less dependent on aim, gamesense takes a much higher priority, learning mechanics, playstyles and adapting is crucial; that is something I've seen in many players who banter about them deserving a higher rank "My aim is god yet I'm hardstuck" etc. But that won't help, it's just how the game is, it's not a shooter game, it's a tactical shooter game. But if you're hardstuck and you are aware that all your skillsets surpass the criteria, then that's just tough luck, the game does that to people, but then, rather than rank maybe one should be focusing on getting better at the game, better than everyone else, so when they do rankup, they're better than everyone. Just don't focus on ranks is my take on that.

No, if you made a game between diamond and Iron. Diamond player would not give irons more than 2-3 rounds

The ascendants weren’t good only like a couple of them, the new ascendant is basically just plats and diamonds, and every rank got boosted up one or two ranks. I was diamond 2, so I should’ve been ascendant, but I placed p3 after losing all 5 placements even tho I moved 2 in games with all ascendants. Since there wasn’t much time left I got from p3- d1 haven’t played yet but am planning to soon. The radiants and immortals though are basically the same rank not much change.

I've played with some really cracked ascendants and some really dog water radiants, However these ascendants seem lost and just full blown egotistical. They seem like they have zero plan to hold sites or even retake sites
Kj is boosted and phoenix is smurfing so balance is kept

I think there is very big difference between these two ranks. Cuz when ascendant was added, a lot of silvers and golds were promoted to plat/diamond. And some of them by luck could be carried to ascendant, so it's kinda like plat agains radiants
