This past holiday season sale for Rigid was fantastic. I got many of their tools to keep at my son's house in another state. I also bought them for their lifetime warranty. I believe their tools have to be bought from Home Depot for the warranty to be valid though.

"Ridgid Warranty Sucks" was put on the thumbnail of the video. Click bait and contrary to what you actually say. It reflects poorly on the Ridgid brand if someone doesn't actually watch the video and know any better.

Have the same issue still waiting for a replacement battery. They keep saying they sent but no tracking and it’s going on a year

The biggest selling point for me. Swapping over from the yellow brand. And the tools themselves are exceptional as well.

Did you buy the tools from Home Depot? That may determine if they will honor the warranty.

The 1.5 AH battery is the least powerful for running a power tool. A 5ah is better and 6 ah is BESTEST.

Yeah they don’t tell you this and it’s hidden in the paperwork. I “screwed myself” when I bought a full set of rigid tools and batteries because now none of my tools are covered. In fact I registered them in time. But I didn’t keep my receipt so I couldn’t upload a picture of it so they’re not covered.

You don't necessarily need the receipt as much as you do the receipt number. I also think their tools have to be purchased from Home Depot for the warranty to be validated.

@ yeah I purchased them from Home Depot, but they wouldn’t cover them without a picture of the receipt. That’s what rigid told me in email. You have to upload a picture with the claim on your account. I tried getting the receipt from Home Depot but they don’t keep a copy, at least they couldn’t find one in their system. Thankfully I was able to fix the tool myself. “Warranties”, unless unlimited and no proof of purchase necessary, are snake oil. The only one I think of that I’ve had a good experience with like that is Vortex. They pay for all the shipping and send you a new product the moment they receive the old one. No verification of anything need except that you have a product of theirs and send it back on their dime. I’d buy their product over a free pure gold one from anyone else because of this.

The lifetime warranty does not cover the reconditioned tools sold at places that sell the recon tools. Will have RECON burned into the housing of the tool

It only covers tools sold from Home Depot. I bought one on Amazon and it won’t let me register it. Even though I bought it brand new in box.
