Nothing has been decided yet. The war also went terribly bad for Russia in the Second World War at the beginning. But they still went on and recovered, albeit with terrible losses. It is a tradition in Russia that in wars human lives count for little, not even those of their own soldiers.

    • @stevej1818

@@Medley3000 but I believe what helped Russia in WW2 was the fact their best troops were sent to the east of Russia in the event Japan invaded. Because that was what was meant to happen (Germany attack from the west and Japan from the east). But Japan bombed the Pearl Harbour because the us sactioned Japan from buying oil which meant instead Japan went on to fight the US. This allowed the better Russian troops to travel west and fight Germany.
But today Russia doesn’t have any decent soldiers elsewhere so I don’t expect them to do a massive u turn. But I do agree if Russia were to capture Moldova then there would be no shortage of Russian troops dead.

So on short Moldova was part of Romania and was taken by force in 1940's and all intelectuals, teachers, priests deported to Siberia and they started to import some Russian colonists . In 1991 the feeling was that it will reunite with Romania as East Germany did. And surprise a special operation started to liberate the poor russians from Transnistria (part of Moldova) and the Russians installed a "peace keeping force" there and created a separatist region. For Moldova to enter Nato or UE shouldn t have disputed teritorries and now it is the poorest country în Europe . The same scenario happened in Georgia and now they are pulling the same stuff in Ukraine. They will not take over all Ukraine but only the rich în minerals coal and industry eastern regions block the access to Black Sea ports where they export the grains (3rd place in the world) and eventually mess up their infrastructure in the regions they won t ocupy. So Ukraine will remain in the same situation as Moldova with disputed territiries and poor as s..t. and no possibility to join an alliance. I watch the news and no analist seems to see that ex CIA or general or from Harvard or what not since this is the scenario repeated over and over again.

I understand the British policy of being allied with the 2nd greatest European power against the 1st greatest European power, but in an age of Nuclear Weapons I don’t get how anybody could actually invade the UK? Plus, I’m not terribly afraid of the magnificent Russia Managerial skills if they managed to conquer all of Europe. If NATO had simply left Ukraine alone and not tried to train it’s military and build all those BIOLABS, and allow the rise of the Na zis in Ukraine, there would have been no war at all. I guess I need to sue the University of Florida over my Masters in English. And also sue the entire internet. The woman stated that dead bodies were INCARCERATED in a fresh grave. In all definitions of the word incarcerated that I have investigated, none of them refer to corpses. I realize that English words tend to have many meanings, but her usage was the first I've heard. Also, she has a British accent. The Brits and Americans sometimes have different usages. If her statement is taken normally, she states that "up to 10,000 Ukrainians" are being held(imprisoned alive) in a huge hole in a cemetary. Obviously this cannot be true. In summation, her words might be a cultural diffence of usage, or she is incorrect, or she is attempting to draw attention to herself with a bizarre usage that she made up.

@@bobdeverell NATO has a response force of 40,000 troops for fast deployment. The US has over 1 million soldiers, marines etc. Then there's the other 22 NATO members to add in. I'd say NATO has more than enough resources to defeat Russia and nor would it take too long to deploy them, weeks maybe at worst but certainly not years.
I doubt that the reports we see in the media, of troops sent wherever or equipment moved wherever, is the full story. For example, I would not be surprised if nuclear submarines from NATO members are already just outside Russian territorial waters, just in case.
The only reason NATO haven't stepped in is their own rules. Should Putin attack a NATO member, then NATO will have no choice but to react. The fear is that Putin is so desperate that he will use chemical, biological or nuclear weapons.

Russia did open a corridor. Kiev refuses its soldiers to use it. Hitler gave the same order to Sixth Army at Stalingrad , fight to the death. General Paulus finally came to his senses when he realized his army was starving and surrendered. These men will probably finally refuse Kievs orders and do the same.

Putine called them and told them about his plans for the 9th of May? Really?

This is far in the weeds, and Michael Clarke would refute this immediately by saying the Russians are not gonna be able to even take Mykolaiv on the way to Transnistria.

I don’t think the country should report what kind of weapons they are sending in advance,’cus that might give Putin time to prepare. Why not report after sending ? I always wonder.

Why don't they let people know that the Ukranian army is holding those civilians in the Azovstal plant hostage? That's what they've been doing the whole time. Watch Patrick Lancaster's TH-cam channel to see what was going on in Mariupol during this war.

Patrick Lancaster? The guy who staged multiple false flags before the War, whose lived in Donetsk for years and made friends with separatists and their commanders like Givi? Friends with Graham Philips, a man deported from Ukraine for spying and deported from Latvia for interrupting a WW2 memorial while also marrying a 17 year old from Luhansk? Please.
