I remember when the Shengshou Mirror Blocks were the newest thing, I have two that I sticker modded into two-solution cubes Solve by shape, or solve by color
I have my mirror blocks stickered with colored stickers in such a way that it has 2 solutions. You can solve it into the cube shape, but then it looks like a scrambled cube, or you can solve it by color like a normal cube, but then the blocks are all scrambled and it's in a weird shape. It's really fun to solve. And it drives non cubers nuts.
Tbf I ordered one purely because it's purple, I'm really glad it's so well received and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can learn some mirror blocks.
Had mine for a week now, first mirror cube and I love it 😻 absolutely love the colour(s) as well. Though lubing was a pita as you have to remove a layer to do it properly. Looking forward to seeing what other non-wca puzzles GAN decide to release… apart from the snake of course and it’s ridiculous price 🤪
They could have easily made it with corner-core magnets for even more stability. But anyway, this cube looks amazing, and special kudos to Gan for making the centers not orientation-specific.
I was at the cubicle earlier, and I can confirm, this is AMAZING. It’s fast, the magnets aren’t that strong, but it’s corner cutting makes that up SO MUCH. the u2 flicks are insanely easy, and I am totally gonna get this. When it comes out. Btw, do you sell those green stickers you put on that one I tried? Thank you :)

We have 3x3, we have 3x3 one handed, we have 3x3 blindfolded, we have multiple 3x3's blindfolded, we had 3x3 with freaking _feet,_ and we've had a shape-mod in the WCA as an official event for a long time in the form of Skewb. And Mirror Blocks may turn like a 3x3, but the way you look at it is completely different, even if you could technically use the same method for both 3x3 and Mirror Blocks. I still might order it though. This isn't a case like the Gan 12 where it's one of the best 3x3's but you can get one that fits your solve style better; this is a case where Gan straight up made the single best puzzle of its kind, and that can't really be understated here.

I bought a QiYi mirror block when I first knew Gan was making them, so that by the time I can afford a Gan mirror block I can seen how my times could/would improve 😅

I've been hoping for a mirror block that turns well for over a year now. This looks like a good first approximation to my dream mirror-block. Even though it is a little more than I'd like to spend right now, it's still a buy for me and I'm planning to order one from you as soon as it transitions from pre-order to order. I do have one question, how well does it handle slice moves? (I Roux)
I don't have one yet, but I'm sure that it can do good slice moves. Just to take in note: on Mirror Blocks if you need to do a lot of slice moves you must solve the thinnest layer first. If you start with the thick layer then slice moves are really hard to do quickly
Heyy!... I just got mine... and played around with the tensions a bit... and i think it messed the cube up a bit... one side is loose while the other is tight... can you make a short on which tension you are using?... Thanks
But why would you want a speed mirror cube, its so annoying to fingertrick you cant really go that fast with it. Next up is the GAN Pandora Cube M Maglev Pro 13 Translucent Purple Edition

Fun fact Rubik's was the first to actually produce the Mirror blocks cube. It was released in 2008 in Japan under the Megahouse Toy company.
