    One suggestion take all the wires out from the motor and twist them all together to make one solid loom secondly instead of removing all the wire from previous motor leave one in there or a couple of them tie it onto the new ones and pull them through lot less effort speeds up the job too God bless you and your family

    when a compressor (or any motor) sounds funny to me, the very first thing that comes to mind is the capacitor's and start circuitry (whatever they have)

    I have a Testco digital meter that I use for 410A is it true I shouldn't use it for R22?

    • @HVACGUY
      @HVACGUY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I assume your talking about the manifold with hoses, and not the probes. There’s really no reason to use more than one manifold. As long as you get rid of whatever is in the hoses before you hook up. And the oil residue isn’t a concern. I’ve read more than once that a system can have as much as 5% of a different oil in it before it can cause a problem. The little bit in your hoses is a tiny fraction of that.

    What is the likelihood the compressor is damaged / fails in the near future after slugging liquid refrigerant for a period of time due to the evap fan failure?

    • @SovereignTroll
      @SovereignTroll 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great chance. Hydrostatic lock trying to compress liquid bends, warps Reed valves and can push out the plug pins if severe overpressure.

  • @JFranzen3
    @JFranzen3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If only all blower motors came out as easy as that or even half as easy. I wouldn't be surprised if the compressor goes out next. If its a 410 unit it might be cheaper to replace the compressor and get a bit more life out of it.

    little tech tip, after the rust on the shaft is removed and it's still a little tough to get off, Big Blue leak bubbles works better than most lubricants to remove the motor from the wheel, and its cheaper!
