BIG respect for the guys and their content and please go support them by watching their videos and buying their music through the links above.
    Also something to note around my videos working on my car: I’m just a keen petrolhead, NOT a trained mechanic. I like to make interesting car mods and show you how I've gone about it, but I can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because it may look easy on TH-cam. I can't wait until I can get a 1.2 (or even a 1.4 tjet) in my Seicento! Maybe then she'll get taken more seriously because the stickers are a big mocking point for everyone else to attack mine, maybe with a bigger engine it will prove them wrong! Until then though 'Scrapbook Sally' as she's known still puts a huge smile on my face even though I am still learning.. I'm super jealous of the super seicento now!

      T jet would require a lot of custom fabrication and you would need to cut some things to fit it

      Ante Radić yeah i know, but it's a few years until I plan on actually swapping my engine so I don't need to worry about that yet haha.. I know it's going to be an awful lot of work though

      Cento Tom For t jet conversion it would be much better to get mk2 punto, it's more stable when added power, doesn't require cutting to fit t jet, you can fit widder tires....

    Nice mod. My Punto was originally a 55s with the same 1108cc engine as yours and now I also have a 1248cc engine running on LPG. I want to get a 6 speed gear box. I am swaping the exhaust in October when I go home with John Ashley 4-2-1 manifold and Pipercross air filter. My exhaust is a european homologated rally exhaust from CSC, hand made in Italy but because it has 2 silencers, its not too noisy.
    I want to get the Abarth body kit, TA Technix coilovers and either Compomotive MO1571 15inch or Butzi Odin 15" wheels and as soon as I can, paint the car then I will call my project "concluded" but there is always bits and bobs to do. Need to replace my windshield as it has some scratches and want to polish the rocker cover (think thats how its called), and the battery support.
    Regards

    You can put camshaft from punto mk1 75, also put oil catch can. If you want to put turbo, you are safe around 1.0bar (I've seen ones runing on 1.3 on stock engine). You should also get that 1.1 ECU remaped because punto has rev limit at 6500rpm while stock seicento one has rev limit at 7000rpm but still I've seen stock engines that revved to 7500rpm (not smart but still) and built one that revved to 9000rpm (and it didn't take a lot of work to do it)

    • @miralemnermina142
      @miralemnermina142 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ante Radić i payed 70€ for mine delivered at home, i still find it quite cheap considering the good gains :)

    Hi there. Did you change the coil pack in the interests of reliability as opposed to necessity ?
    Did the standard ECU require no mods whatsoever ?
    In other words- aside from the belt issues- did it run just fine ?

    • @MillerCorner
      @MillerCorner  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It ran spot on, the coil pack was a "while we're there" job 👍🏻 the 1108 ECU takes about 100 miles of varied driving to learn the new engine, after that it'll be a bit more economical and smoother

    • @MillerCorner
      @MillerCorner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly didn't have a chance to dyno pre swap - as much as I wanted more power, this is more a "butt dyno" car, more about fun and feel than outright huge power. Dyno run may be coming soon, though...

    • @philipwithington69
      @philipwithington69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I appreciate the fact your modding this little car. I had one, they are very slow. There are a lot of factors, however the 1.1 engine had around 55bhp the 1.2 8v was around 60 bhp. At the flywheel, for me personally that's not enough of a gain. I'm very interested to see what you do next. Forced induction anyone?

    • @MillerCorner
      @MillerCorner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      May or may not be more tuning to come on this engine 😉 they key number isn't the power, though, it's the torque - this engine makes considerably more torque throughout the rev range, making it useably fun

    • @philipwithington69
      @philipwithington69 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I'd like to be proven wrong, but maybe an extra 10 ft lb in torque. Before you factor losses in the gearbox.

    • @yaboykawz
      @yaboykawz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MillerCorner , I understand what you're saying, and I'm not trying to take the Mick. The only reason I say this is, there must of been a better way of getting more performance other then a rebuilt short block, where the entire engine and gearbox has to come out. I remember when I had my first car (rover 213) to get more power out of it, I went to the local "aftermarket performance" shop, they told me a Weber twin choke carb would be best. I paid less then £150 for the carb, took it to a mate who fitted it and got it working for another £20, I then took it to a rolling road place 15 miles up the road who spent a couple of hours making sure everything was installed proper, and then tuned it on the rollers, which cost another £60. The car was completely transformed! When I took it easy the car was better on fuel, and top speed went from 105mph to 120mph. All of this was done in less then an afternoons work!

      only been watching his vids lately as i was looking at one for a cheap bit of fun and his seems cool, but other than being a lower mileage engine, this engine wasnt much of an upgrade. i owned a mk2 punto with the same 1.2 and was decent for 60hp, but this guy couldve got the punto sporting engine. still a 1.2, but has over 80hp, so wouldve been much better. turbo kits for these cars were riddled with problems. i havent watch that many vids, so i dont know how much power hes managed to get since this video. the cars are super light though
