Not a Muslim. But recently we have hit hard times and most food banks here are Christian oriented which required a letter from a bishop/pastor/priest to access 🫠 i am not a Christian. I had to drive an hour away but thr Muslim food bank simply asked "how many adults? How many children? How old are the kids? Ok! Here you go!" And handed me a few boxes worth of food and occasionally they offer hot food to take.
I was so happy and thankful i volunteered at the islamic center as a way to show my thanks. They are the kindest people i know.

I am not a Muslim but I have a story back in the mid 1990s my mother lived in an apartment and right above her was a lovely Muslim family and we were all having dinner together on the 4th of July I am American and the husband had some sort of attack and he passed out ends up to be a brain aneurysm and that night he became a paraplegic. This Muslim woman wanted to care for her husband instead of have him live in a home so she brought him home and my mother and I were amazed at all of the Muslim women that came by to cook for the family and bring groceries and clothes and to come and watch the husband, take the children to school, babysit so that she could have a break, there was so much support within the Muslim community especially among the women it really was beautiful. My mother was very close to this woman they had been friends for several years before this happened. The Muslim woman said she didn't even know personally all the the kind women helping her but they were all pulling together when one of them is in need. And my mother said that she had never seen such tender love between a couple in her life this Muslim woman loves her husband so much she would massage his head and pick him up so that he could see everything so he never had to be left out of any of his children's experiences and she was also very impressed by their treatment of each other. The woman was constantly thinking of what here husband might need though her could not talk or communicate in any way. Since that time in the 90s I have always had so much respect for the Muslim faith and community. Love to all...everyone.

I had a very much struggling journey since childhood,
I lost my mom at the age of 13
Then my father remarried,and brought us a real step mother who was actually a step mother,can't explain what all i have gone through since then i was like i didn't even liked my life.seeking answers for my existence studied about alvaroius religions searching the truth ,peace and God struggled was abandoned and after so many yrs i found peace and my answers to my prayers when I prayed for the first time through a Muslim frnd and then finally Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah

I haven't taken my shahadha as yet ,I was attracted to Islam because Muslim brothers and sisters look so peaceful, I was also attracted to the way the woman dress.
I am big built but very self conscious because I always get people looking at me ,no matter how much I diet my body does not change .😢

Personally, I’ve found that finding clothing that makes me feel comfortable makes me feel more confident and in turn helps with my self image. Also, never forget, every person is beautiful! This makes them pleasant to talk to and hold real conversations around shared values, beliefs and long-term life goals that are also deep and transcend in nature.
It prevents ppl getting arrogant and getting a superiority complex based on superficial trates.
Keeps ppl down to earth, modesty. Trys to prevent self entitlement and Princess complex.
It trys to prevent the commercialisation/weaponising of "beauty", by it not being a publicly displayed and traded commodity/currency.
Trys to give women a break from having to compete with each other on just beauty, in open public. That can cause feelings of jealousy.
Helps to try to prevent an army of simps and street pestering. As her beauty is for HER and the special people SHE chooses in her life.
Helps to try to prevent insecurities trying to maintain unrealistic and unsustainable beauty standards, that are forever changing and expensive to uphold.
This can cause mental issues in people and the sense of constant judgement and body shaming from people that don't know you or care about your long-term good.
You will be able to fast the whole month of ramadan. That should take a few kilos off. Oh! I forgot you are allowed to start pigging out after sunset until sunrise to get you through the following day of fasting. Most muslims put weight on during the wondrous time of ramadan so maybe my idea is not so good for you after all.
As to you wearing the muslim dress to hide yourself from the world. Muhammad forced women to cover up to prevent the muslim males from raping them when they saw their uncovered bodies and got all horny. If you are as rotund as you say you are, maybe it is a good idea not to coverup. The muslim males will only go for the slim, pretty females so you will be safe from them.
Don't forget if you take your shahadha and find later on that the religion is not actually what you thought it was and want to leave. Your Holely Prophet Muhammad told his followers the following in this Sahih (authentic) Hadith

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "WHOEVER CHANGES HIS RELIGION,KILL HIM."

@@DieBibelistGottesWort To become a Muslim you have to believe in your heart and proclaim with your tongue that there is none worthy of worship except the one true God [the one who created you and the universe] and that Mohammed was the final prophet and messenger sent by this God for the guidance of mankind. You have to believe in all the prophets before Mohammed, like Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Noah and Adam. Those beliefs and declarations make you a Muslim [a person who accepts that his purpose in this life is to do the will of God, that is to serve the God who gave him life and to whom he will one day return and be accountable to.]

@@endpc5166 Nobody is asking you to save Muslim women. They can take care of themselves. You can ask them if they need your help. Hijab is a Middle Eastern and Islamic tradition. Even mother Mary would cover her head. On your second point, Muslims feel they are hated because the media misrepresents Islam. No Muslim has ever burned the scripture of other faiths as Islam teaches to respect other faiths. Western Christians have burnt the Quran in USA, Sweden, Germany, etc. So, who hates whom? Please take your time to investigate. Also, get a copy of the Quran and read with an open mind.

The Taliban have the Pashtunwala which is their code and only incorporates some parts of Islam. You have completely ignored the role of culture.
salam veronica! You mentioned gender equality and that women and men have equal rights but from my research they have very different rights and responsibility for example women can't work without their husband permission. How is this then "equal"? Do you follow any specific school of thought?
1. Muslim men are obligated to pay for the wife and children, Muslim women are not.
2. Women are more anxious and afraid at witnessing certain crimes.
3. Women's population exceeding men's necessitates some sort of polygyny, otherwise fornication would be rampant, like amongst Non-Muslims/Kaafirs.

First of all I congratulate you for a new blessing from Allah.
This is a blessing from your Allah and at the same time it is a test and training session from your Allah. So in this situation to stay modest I can suggest you can wear a loose dress over your body where you can carry your baby inside it. Also try to stay in your home till the breast feeding is lesser and you can feed your baby other foods as well. Hope I was able to give a good suggestion.

What are your thoughts on Muslim men being able to have multiple wives and not requiring wives consent for that, the lack of concept of content to sex within a marriage, where a woman is expected to always be there to satisfy her husband and justification for under aged girls to be sold off to marriage, once they have their first period? Oh, also, what about having to cover up and being unable to even go for a swim or tan in a swimsuit? Lastly, if hijab is about modesty, why is that that slave women are forbidden to wear one and have to remain bare chested according to Quran?
Last question is about joining and leaving Islam. Everyone is free to join. What should happen to people that decide to leave Islam? I've seen countless videos and stats, where large percentage of the Muslim majority countries claim that death is the only reasonable punishment. Which is interestingly similar to insulting Mohammed.
