Foxy is so slept on and underrated it's a shame. Foxy was holding her own lyrically with Jay at 15, with Nas and AZ at 17. The industry didn't know what to do with her, they tried to turn her into a Kim clone on her China Doll album and it didn't work because she wasn't Kim. Broken Silence is such a fire album- the whole album. I legit put it on my top 20 hip hop albums of all time. I really dislike how people leave Fox out of the conversation when they talk about female MC's
What album does have Kim that sounds like Chyna Doll? Especially seeing as how Foxy went #1 and set a record for being the first female rap album to ever go #1 and it was certified platinum in 2 months. Chyna Doll was her using her actual speaking voice. Her natural tone is not deep at all. And Kim never rapped in her speaking voice.
@OP Slym I'm sorry you don't agree with my opinion. I meant what I said though and I'm not arguing about it. I hope you feel better about my opinion later on.
@@Jahani31 That’s not an opinion. Chyna Doll sounds nothing like Hard Core or Conspiracy Kim, and those are the only albums she had out at the time of Chyna Doll. So when, where, how and what song/album does Foxy/Chyna Doll sound like Kim?
This dark skinned beauty was never about the bleach. She embraced her ethereal blackness. I wish this rap phenom's career would've brought her the renown she deserved. Team Foxy!
Foxy has been really forgotten sadly i think partly due to a feud with Kim. But she's arguably the most gifted female rapper of her generation after Lauryn. The best Fox Boogie Brown songs BK Anthem Ill Na Na Foxy's Bells If I 4,5,6 with Beanie Siegel and Memphis Bleek My Life Na Na Be Like Fallin Firm Fiasco with Nas and AZ
The first Hip-Hop artist to successfully combine Caribbean Dancehall music in their songs and score US success. Foxy Brown is unmatched and I will always be a fan! Only the Queen of Reggaeton, Ivy Queen, has done this combination as well.
Fox Boogie Brown Known in The Industry and The World as One of THEE BEST RAP LYRICIST with an Dope Delivery that NO OTHER Female Could Match. And because of THIS she had A LOT of Haters {Male & Female) in the industry Downplaying her Abilities because she is a female. But No Matter What she STILL REIGNS as a BEST FEMALE LYRICIST with a VOCAL DELIVERY that NO OTHER FEMALE could or can match!👏🏾🤷🏾♂
She had the hardest flow I've ever heard of all female rappers. When one of her songs came on, you instantly knew it was her. No one sounded like Foxx Boog 🙌
Foxy is so underrated and it sucks because I remember when she was at her peak; no one else sounded like her. 1 of 1. "Oh Yeah" is the lead single from Foxy's third album Broken Silence (2001), peaking at #63 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. Please react to Foxy Brown - "Get Me Home (feat Blackstreet)" and The Firm - "Firm Biz (feat Dawn Robinson)."
Fun fact: During the recording of LL Cool J “I Shot Ya” song. Foxy’s team, TrackMasters (who produced the song) secretly put her on the track to get Foxy name out there. She was 15 /16 by the way. They played the track back to LL and he thought she was some random dude rapping. When it was revealed that it was actually a teenage girl (Foxy Brown) rapping, he was shocked, and kept her on the song. I believe that was her debut track.
That’s why foxy was one of the best to spit . She was going toe to toe with Jay a at 15 back in the days . She was rapping better than a lot of the guys . Hate her Kim had that beef her and Kim influenced the rap girls of today . Yes she’s pay homage to her Trinidad roots with that island sound tables turn was a huge club hit in 2001 . Could you react to foxy brown and Jay a I’ll be good .
King Fox finally has been getting her flowers. She bred the deep voice style and cadence. Check out some of her freestyles as well. there's a compilation.
This by far is my favorite foxy brown song. I love everything on her iLL nana album but when this came out a few years later I was like 😱 also note these two are an actual couple and are still together
The record label made her silence puff name so the original line goes Niggas say I’m too pretty to spit rhymes this gritty fuck y’all thought, I be dancin round in suits like I’m DIDDY😂🗣
When I look back at these videos, I can clearly see her influence on Nicki Minaj: reppin' Trini roots, NY attitude, rap amongst the fellas but still feminine....LIL KIM influenced NICKI's fashion sense tho. My favorite by FOXY is "Get Me Home Tonite" featuring BLACKStreet
Foxy and Nicki Minaj is real close she’s a big fan of Foxy Brown I love foxy Brown have to react to her song “Brooklyn Athem “ she was out when Lil Kim and Remy Ma all of them
You should react to Akinyele put it in your mouth, it was a banger, was about 14 when it came out and could sing every word 🙈 not sure what that says about me.
Ugh you gotta do your research on Foxy and Kim it’s SOOO DEEP Foxy was done the worst by the industry but Kim’s career followed shortly after and I love them both but People went to Prison, shots were fired, one woke up deaf && relationships still haven’t been reconciled behind Foxy Brown and Lil Kim’s beef

@@opslym6948 ok, lol.
Foxy in her prime could easily be the best female rapper EVER.
Foxy had the illest flow of all the girls during that era. She’s who Nicki looks up to and loves for her flow and voice.
