Glad you.and your horse made it through and you were able to help your instructor and the.horses there. Your cooking reminded me of the blizzard of 1993 when I used my iron skillet and pot to cook on the fireplace for the whole neighborhood since we had the only fireplace at zero degrees. No electricity to run the furnace fans All I did all day was fry bacon and heat water for tea. But that bacon tasted so good to have something normal. Keep putting one foot. In front of the other and things will get better. You are doing good and learning you are able to handle what you need to. You can feel good about that. 😅
The resilience of you and your brothers is astonishing. Most people your age would be complaining about what you do not have. You are just moving forward and thankful for what you do have.

You are very much like my daughter was at your age. Her passion was skate boarding, not horses but she did a lot of chores and took care of her brothers for me when I was stretched too thin. She is a very wonderful woman of fifty, married to a doctor and is at the tail end of raising five kids.

I enjoyed your cooking, I learned some things. 1st, I didn't know skim milk that you get when you take off the cream is different store bought skim milk. I now know the milk you drink still has the cream in it. I have to cook toast the way you do, That looks a lot tastier than using a toaster. Wonderful that your family is helping Lisa,. Helping other people, along with getting your farm cleaned up is going to continue keeping all of you busy, but helping neighnors & friends is a great way to keep busy.
