I love fresh green beans and brocolli, and not that overboiled/picked green beans even though I may still eat them. When they are cooked right I enjoy them better.
We grew green beans on my grandparents' farm. We called them snap beans (we had snap peas, too) because of that delightful snap.
We call that one, "A green bean salad". That is a recipe that my grandmother used to make. Beautiful!!
