- At present I am using Hp Pavilion G6-2016tx laptop which has stock 4GB of RAM but it has one empty slot to increase laptop RAM to 8GB.
So, I purchased a new 4GB RAM from Amazon.in .

I also have hp pavilion but I have i3. It is very laggy since last 3 to 4 years. But I was able to play minecraft which is a light game. But out of nowhere my minecraft started lagging. I get 0 fps. Not even kidding. And the laptop is also very laggy. And there is some sort of bios problem and it doesn't boot. If we do some hard disk test and other thing 8t starts after 30 mins which wastes most of my time. I am a student. I don't need heavy gaming. I just need minimum 20 fps so that I can just play for sometime and also study properly. Pls can you suggest me what should I do to make the laptop faster? Should I add more ram and ssd? So... my computer doesn't have a removable battery. You would have to remove the entire bottom of the laptop to remove the battery. Will that work, cause I'm scared that I'll break something.

Install a ssd if u don't need much space go for the 120gb variant else install the 240gb ssd and upgrade your ram after understanding whether it is ddr2 or ddr3 or ddr4 then buy at least 4 gigs of ram just these two things would make your laptop fast to another level you would feel like you have upgraded to a new laptop but I would like to give you a estimate of all this it would be as -

And just find out the type of ram then upgrade the ram I think the ram used would be ddr3 so go for 8gb (4×2) or atleast go for 4 or 6gb if you are short on budget👍🏻
Total cost would be around-(2240+2800(8gb ram)= 5040 this is the price of ssd and ram and if you would install it from some guy he would take atleast 200 to 300 and you would also have to purchase the hard disk adaptor known as caddy which costs around 200-400 so take approx 5.5k for the upgrades but I would give u a tip this 5.5k would me worth the upgrades.👍🏻

After upgrading Ram some software with minimum requirement of 8gb ram run properly and lag while multitasking solved.
