I like your channel very much, besides excellent information provided it is also entertaining. I will visit Tokyo in April 2019 and kindly wanted to ask if you may can recommend a good place to eat Wagyu Beef.
Paolo, not gonna lie I used to get overwhelmed by your unrelenting enthusiasm, but it's exactly what I need in my life right now after these unrelenting-ly stressful days at work. Much love.
I love the fact that you're recommending ramen places that's completely different from the more well known ramen places in Japan-that's dare I say overly "reviewed". You rock! Thanks for all your effort. Everything you've recommended I've somehow planned into my japan trip this spring. Cant wait for that RED ramen shop;Tourist friendly and spicy-yum!
I love how you included a vegan option! I was a little worried about going to japan and being vegan but I was able to eat so much ramen and even veggie sushi! And mochi is my favorite 🤤 I love Tokyo!!
Since you are making an English video about living/traveling in Japan, it would be helpful to say how difficult places are for the "language challenged'". For example at 0:42 in the video if you look carefully the ordering machines have English texts.
Dude, love what you're doing, very useful for us foodies who have never been to Japan. I've been following your videos for weeks now. I'll be heading to Tokyo in about a month, Hope to bump into you there! Keep it up man!!!
paulo, I really like your videos because you go in depth into each suburb which for a seasoned traveller to Japan, is extremely useful. Hope you make more in the same style and I am looking forward to a Ramen video for other suburbs.
My husband is definitely wanting to try those spicy ramen places. Everything looks fantastic and are definite must visits on our list for when we make it to Japan! Thank you for checking out lesser known places as well!
Hey Paolo, lovely vlog you got there! I hope you can do a video educating people who will visit Japan in the future on how to ramen. Like what kind of broths, noodles and toppings. I admire how you explain things so I am looking forward seeing an episode like that. More power to your vlog! Thanks for sharing informative things about this country.
Paolo: I wanted to take a moment and thank you for the work you've put into these videos. It's helped me flesh out my list of food places and attractions during my 2.5 week stint in Japan in August.
i went to afuri and that vegan Ramen whas phenomenal. i liked it more than any ramen I had (but I only tried one or two during my stay, and not in afuri). still, you really made my trip great and enjoyable Paolo, thank you!
I’m really glad you mentioned kindenmaru at the end because when I went to japan I didn’t know the name of it but this was the only ramen place my friends and I stopped at and it was so good and the staff were so friendly and helpful! I’ll visit it again soon!

I also had tsukamen at Fuunji which was really nice too. Keep up the good work, love your helpful videos. Happy to see that you are also very nice and friendly in real life too 😊
Paolo you rock buddy, how do you make your videos so much fun but at the same time so revealing and explanatory, people who don’t know Japan should definitely watch them before going there, by the way Happy new year for you and your girlfriend, you guys make such a dynamic duo, many blessings for both of you from the bottom of my heart, God Bless 👍

Thanks Grover! I don't like everything I try, I just don't really show it on my videos. I'm showing you guys my Top 10 lists, so no point in including stuff I don't like.
#5 place: Interesting ramen menu. Fried chicken in ramen! Miso based bowl looks great! #3 place is good! #2 has amazing price! Hard to find probably! #1 place is really good!
Would love to see the Top 5 of the following categories: Shio, Shoyu, Miso, Tonkotsu, Cheapest, Vegetarian/vegan, Oddest/craziest ingredients, Generally no waiting in line, and last but not least, It's not really ramen (traditional noodles in soup) but the word "ramen" is in the description. hahahaha
another great guide, coming over with my 12 year old at the end of August, he loves Chicken ramen, of the places listed which are the best for chicken ramen and have menu's in English, I'm planning to take some Japanese lessons maybe in March or April but just incase my Japanese is not up to scratch by then.
Thanks for the vids. I'm not vegan but that vegan ramen at Afuri looks delicious. I am so looking to my trip in a few months. Nervous and excited at the same time! I do not know Japanese AT ALL!!! It helps when you list the tourist friendly spots.
You had me at karage ramen. Another great roundup of interests and flavors I am so looking forward to. I also would like to see more and in Shinjuku too! Keep up the good vids for all us dreaming to be there soon (4-1/2 months!!!)...

Great job on what you're doing (honest upfront reviews, no BS lip service), Keep those amazeballs videos coming! Can you do one video on Japanese whisky??
I went in November last year. Was definitely a nice ramen and different from all I’ve had due to the yuzu adding freshness. Wouldn’t say it’s amazing though but definitely quite good and different on a good way.
Respect to all these dedicated restaurant employees and owners, Make be a would be fortunate in future and visit Tokyo then I definitely will enjoy the many options of Ramen. Have to admit that I am classic for I knew about Raman by watching Naruto. However, Japan is a resemblance of one of great ancient empire that emerged as a very advanced nation in the modern time.
I really love your videos, so I hit that subscribe button! I'll be staying at Shinjuku in Tokyo in June. Can you also do a video of your favorite ramen shops in shinjuku too? Or are there ramen shops there that you recommend? Are these ramen shops kid friendly?
Your channel is helping me plan my trip to Tokyo/ Osaka Japan in 2018. Thanks Paolo for the recommendations, so sad the red store closed... really wanted to try spicy ramen as most places have barely any real spicy ramen. Kindenmaru was great but me and my wife’s favourite was definitely Afuri and it’s yuzu broth.... the spicy one was sooooo damn tasty, currently in Osaka but when we go back via Tokyo... that is definitely the one ramen we wanna go back to eat!
Real Hedi From my very limited experience it seems safe to assume that unless it says vegetarian it’ll probably have some form of meat in the broth. Do what I did and use google search/maps to find places with vegetarian ramen, there’s a good few around.

Just went to this place because of your recommendation, my friend got one and it was to spicy for her so we switched.. and I loved it! It was a weird one with cheese, butter and garlic.
