Airsoft is more fun
in paintball its all about the sport, airsoft is about the training. I played paintball in my early twenties and switcht to Airsoft right befor 30, bin playing for many years now. its just more fun for me (and less running too :) )

Us hobby grade "nerf" or foam dart blasters can compete in some airsoft or paintball games.
If built correctly we can shoot lazers, hobby grade can be anywhere between 250fps to 600+ shooting foam half darts!!

Man, I got a badass Nerf blaster for Christmas 96 that had a "laser" and a heavy spring, and I absolutely dominated my family and friends.
that sniper who goes for the most painful shots he can with over powered rifles & heavy weight bbs is "dickhead mustang " ...and is currently banned from at least 44 airsoft sites across the uk for this reason !

Paintball is more fun for large games imho. Bigger projectiles whizzing by slamming into stuff and exploding plus the higher pain level just hits the adrenaline different. In my experience you also get less people starting drama and trying to actually fight because getting a hopper dumped into you is an actual attitude adjustment not just ooh that stings. And for outdoors paintballs break down way faster than airsoft BBs.

Best nerf gun hands down is the BuzzBee Lever action shotgun. That thing still lives rent free in my dreams.
My favorite airsoft gun was the interchangeable one, I forgot its name.
Second is the rocket launcher that was discontinued due to safety issues.
Third is the stampede/rhino (one with the gun shield), got it when I was 10 and it was the greatest gift I ever got.

Mine was a nerf gun that got me in to ARs ,but you had to charge the back until thry came out with a blue 1 that was much better ,it had a 30 rd mag i think and you could break it down into a pistol 🔫
