American Style - K 88 "Washington" at the Plains Railway (HD)

Steam locomotive K 88 "Washington" is seen operating another regular steam open day at the Plains Railway in Tinwald south of Ashburton. The 1878 American built Rogers K class was dumped in the Oreti River in Southland after withdrawn from service in 1926. It was rescued by The Plains Railway many years later and they restored the rusting hulk to a fully operational steam locomotive. K 88 is the railway's main operating locomotive and as seen doing what it used to do many years ago on the 2.5km long railway, enjoy!
