- I am spending $100 on retail boxes/products at Walmart and Target for our next sports card pack opening/break! These two stores are the main stores for retail products, so I decided to see what $100 would get me at each one! The boxes/packs I decided to go with are 2021-22 Panini Prizm Basketball (blaster), 2022 Prestige Football (blaster & fat/value pack), 2022 Topps Chrome Baseball (blaster), 2022 Leaf Draft FB (blaster), 2022 Pro Set Draft FB (blaster), and 2022 Heritage BB (blaster). What are your thoughts on the boxes picked and cards pulled? Which retail store do you think is better?

Walmart has better stuff, but target is better prices.
My local Barnes & Nobel store and Target website mostly now, Walmart got too pricey and the shelves look like a train wreck most of the time.

Best i found was this week had prizm basketball, mosaic cellos basketball and mosaic football hangers
Shelves in my area are stocked every day no one is buying.
Nothing there I finally found some select and new illusions
The best deal I found was chronicles draft picks for $5 fat pack/$9 hanger at meijer. Not a great set but really good price.
The absolute best basketball product I have found was 2021 illusions fat packs @ $7 per pack.
I have never EVER seen a Walmart stocked that well with sports cards. That's honestly like...several orders of magnitude better than anything I've seen at any my local stores. I hope you know how lucky you are.
And the last time I went to Target, literally the only thing at ALL that they had that wasnt hockey or soccer was 1 single blaster of Topps Chrome.

Go to a small town Wally World.....Ive found several small town WM in Texas can be an underrated place to search if you're willing to drive.

@@V3Valhalla my walmart had 20+ nfl select blasters, hangers, cellos. 20+ nba prizm blasters 20+ of nfl oof i blasters hangers and cellos. tons of prestige and chronicles and everything pretty much lol

Just got back into collecting a couple months ago. I finally found some NBA Prizm blasters in the wild last weekend. I bought 4 of them and the only card that was somewhat ok was a Franz Wagner Emergent card. Learned a great lesson this weekend. DO NOT buy prizm blasters. A massive waste of money. Will be even funnier when next years product is $50 a blaster and still packed with garbage cards.
Low-key loving the Prestige 2022 - one blaster landed two solid hits and the hanger pack netted a solid $20 card

I like that you get 2 or 3 numbered cards per box
Love these type of videos man! Cool to see what selections you have in the states since I’m Canada. My area in particular is brutal for cards unfortunately. My best retail pull to date tho is a 3/15 Chris Duarte Purple Laser parallel. Gotta say I was hyped when I pulled it 😂

Walmart charges $35 for a blaster it's crazy. I guess that's better then target which doesn't stock the shelves at all

Heritage now shows you the variations next to the cards number on the back. It'll say Image, French, logo, etc. for each SP variation from the set. All but the high number SPs, which are usually backwards.

Prestige Hangers and Blasters are always good. I love Heritage but unless you get hobby you’re not really pulling anything. The ProSet/Leaf Draft is over priced trash. I just sold that Brady Hero’s. It paid for the value pack. Surprise pull from one. Great video. Thanks for sharing 👊✌️

My local target just started restocking everything! I was waiting forever for new product so a few weeks ago I bought the last retail pack if nba hoops for $2.99 or $3.99 (cant remember) that I remember sitting there for months and I pulled an even mobley rookie auto #6/10 no joke.you never know with retail.

You’re so lucky just to be able to pop to a shop and get all those products. Over here in the UK you can barely find a shop that sells any kind of packs, let alone hundreds of boxes like that! Very jealous!

I pulled a Shane McClanahan 1/1 black finite from Select 2020 baseball blaster last year. I’m a Rays fan so planned to keep it but a super collector of him made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Glad it went to a person that has a big collection of McClanahan cards.
Gotta check the service desk for some targets. For mines that’s where they keep the prizm/optic/select stuff

I like these vids. I really don’t want to spend too much ripping so this gives me a chance to see if I like the packs inside retail.
It’s sad but retail is mostly trash now,good stuff like optic retail is grabbed and resold and I’m not paying for hobby. So caught in the middle, I enjoy watching your rips though!
Prestige is the best ROI product panini sells. Retail only, & you can hit some nice autos with the mega boxes. By far, the best product they make.
My Favorite pull from Topps Heritage is a red chrome tatis.
i’ve been finding a lot of prestige 2022 blaster and 2021 chronicle football blasters around my area lately.
Your such the fortunate one !! In Portland Oregon they only have very little baseball and a boat load of Pokémon and Hockey that just sit there. From 1981 thru 2020 I could always just go to the stores including grocery stores and buy all I could afford. The people that work at Walmart here buy them before they go on the selves then put them on offer up the next day to double their money. Anyway great break as always.!!
For Next time for baseball cards buy Topps Fire 2022 Blaster Box and it’s only $25
I had some decent luck ripping Prestige blasters from target. Best card out of those boxes was an Aiden Hutchinson on card auto.

I’ve found prestige at target and Walmart but not topps chrome or prizm basketball but both stores are good for retail. You could also try Meijer and to a challenge with Walmart, target and Meijer.
man your targets and walmarts are way more stocked than the ones in my area lol (bay area) you'd be lucky to find any cards on any given day, the entire shelves sell out almost immediately whenever they get stocked, except for like pokemon and yugioh cards lol oh and hockey, who buys hockey retail?? lol
Those series 2 UD hockey was the play, especially the ones with the security tags or the tins.

Being from Toronto, seeing those Upper Deck Series 1/2 and SPA hockey cards just hanging out in a Walmart blows my mind, the card aisles here always look like the toilet paper aisles when COVID started...

I bought an NBA prizm blaster at Walmart yesterday and pulled a Kyrie worn jersey card and a Green Cade Cunningham from the same pack. Super impressed actually!

Guys a hidden secret is Barnes and Nobles book store. They usually keep everything behind the counter.
Target sucks for in person hunting, but pretty good online. Walmart is the complete opposite, given that you find well stocked shelves.
So far, all prestige retail I bought, always have 2 numbered cards. My best prestige was 2 numbered and two autos, with a Brady decorated

I had the best hits out of Select UFC from Target, but Donruss UFC I always hit better from Walmart. I wish that I could find UFC retail in the stores anymore... once in a while you can grab Chronicles but you can't really hit anything good from it so I stick to Select, Prizm or at the lowest Donruss

From the 2022 Topps chrome, I got a #/99 Shohei Ohtani. Pretty good pull and I really enjoy the Topps chrome packs.
My best retail pulls ever was a shohei ohtani 1/1 out of diamond kings and it was a rc and a Schwarber from the same box. Also pulled a wander 1st bowman /50 gold sold that from $950

I pulled a Scottie Barnes Premium Edition Green Shimmer redemption out of Contenders blaster. Nice rookie auto and actually got it from Panini in about 4 months. That's been my best retail pull.

My best retail pull to date used to be a sage HIT rc auto of Joe Burrow I sold for around 200$ during the hype probably could have gotten more during the superbowl of last year. But now I consider the case hit holo heroes tom brady TB12-4 parallel that has been in my collection and will probably stay but is around 300$ to 400$ dollars value.

I found two boxes of the new illusions retail the other day and got the “case hit” tough insert of Zach lazin that comps for 40-50 also got some numbered action GREAT BLASTERS AT TARGET for 25
Can you maybe do a review of that to see how rare the “case hit” I guess is
Fun Fact: Prestige is one of the toughest base/vet/rookies complete sets to collect as they purposely make 10 of the base or rookie cards SSSSSSSSP every year! haha
2nd fun fact: Superfractor topps odds are lower than some state lottos!
these prices are insane, bro pulled basically nothing from $200 of packs. of course packs are always a gamble, retail and hobby both, but the only way you can guarantee you get something worth your money is by buying singles. i’ve opened so much retail since i started collecting as a child around 2006ish, and have always loved it, but it’s not worth it anymore. prices went up, odds went down. quality control is down the tubes as well, because these newer cards are printed in mass quantities to fulfill the spike in demand. for those working on a budget, please just spend your hard earned money on something actually worth investing in. just my opinion, but i think we’re in the midst of a second junk wax era.

my best retail pull- i found 6 boxes of 2020 prizm football and i promised myself i was going to open one and sell the rest. i hit a joe burrow orange disco rookie (around 2 weeks after the injury) and intended on keeping it until he got healthy. traded it for some major PC cards. still kinda regret it
