I love you! You echo my mind! Yes, where does the time go? Yes, don't feel like cooking and cleaning anymore!! Yes, the haircut academy loves me, too, so easy to please, like, surprise me! Yes, let me sew uninterrupted!! Parallel life, but wish I was as prolific sewing as you are. Thanks for the inspiration. I love how you tackle any fabric. Sew On!
Hi everyone! You’re all so kind to comment. I like to read everyone’s thoughts and reply. Then I worry that if I reply to some, and not everyone, I’m being unfair. Know this: I’ve read what you’ve written, I appreciate it sincerely, and in my heart of hearts I’m chatting with you over coffee and my sunny kitchen table!💕
Go ahead and do the talk! They'll love you. We all so look forward to any time you pop in to chat. I'd like to encourage you to go, and just be you. Never boring. Love the hair. I understand fly away hair. Love the fabrics and patterns. You really have taste.... and I always look forward to seeing how they come out.
You are a bright spot on this old earth! Love your cheerful personality and nonchalant sense of humor! Your videos are inspiring, instructional and great fun. Thanks!💜
Once again, great fabrics and patterns! Something in the air? My house is a wreck-don't want to cook-just want to sew 🤣 I understood your comment that you thought your sewing story might be bore the ASG-but you, dear lady, are always entertaining-never boring!
What a terrific start to a lackluster day...a new video from you and one from Joy. Yay! I got your meaning about the 'boring' comment the first time and I bet most people did too.
Love your fabric haul and patterns. M6102 is on my sewing machine now as 8108 from 2009. Took 5 yrs to finally sew it,another 5 to add slightly longer sleeves lol. I wore the 60s patterns in the late 60s and the big hair from 80s till smaller version 2016 when hair started thinning. ❤ ❤ ❤
As usual, your eye for fabric and color is fantastic. Looking forward to seeing your creations from them. Love your hairdo too. Thanks for listing all the patterns you show. It saves me from writing while you’re talking. I would miss too much.
Dear Viv: Your story cannot be boring. It is uniquely your story, written only for you to live it. Nobody else can be you. Each of us is given the great gift to be ourselves. Though your story is only yours to tell, at your discretion, please remember that yours is part of a bigger story that all of us tell together. The whole story would be missing something without each person's contribution. We always enjoy your posts with your energy and imagination -- not boring! Lovely fabrics and lots of new patterns to try -- you must be very happy indeed!
Aww thanks Amy, you’re a dear. And you’re right: we’ve all been somewhere and we’re all heading somewhere. It’s often interesting to find out about one another! Good reminder!😄
I understood the boring part the way you meant it! Please don't lose any more sleep over it! Love the sewing stickers! Your top in this vid. is so cute! Hugs!
It's nice to have fabric and patterns on hand when you go to sew something. And those stickers are so cute. I have little shinny heart stickers on both of my sewing machines. Gives them a little color :)
Viv, I watched that video with you and Brad out in the woods and knew you were talking about it being boring if you talked about the subject. You did not say you thought ASG was boring. I love your videos and hope you look forward to making them. I also hit the sale on McCall pattern at Hobby Lobby today, I walked away with 5!!! I'm always on the look out for vintage pattern from the 60s and 70s, yard sales are good places to look for them. As always, thanks for sharing Viv!!! Judy
You are such a sweet person...I laughed when you talked about the wooden shoes on the wooden floor going Clomp Clomp Clomp. My maiden name was Klomp and it meant one wooden shoe. :)
Funny you say that, Cherry. I’ve set a 10 year goal for myself to sew all this. The clock started when I was 54 so I’m two years in and yet there is a wee problem: I keep buying more patterns. There’s seemingly no way to make it stop!! 10 years will evaporate in a blink and I’d better sew like a maniac.😂 When I make at least one view from a pattern, I move it to the Sewn box. I have 6 Sewn boxes, so fortunately they’re growing too. It’ll be a race to the finish!!
When I started into Nursing in the 70's, most of my nursing uniforms (dresses, of course!) were made from bengaline. When you said that you got that navy bengaline, it just took me back!
Great fabrics choices. All that suiting is drool worthy. Concerning the invitation to speak: you have never been less than gracious and that has defined this channeI.
Well this comment is certainly extraordinary and humbles me. Thanks jagobanichi!💕And yes, the suiting is really smashing. Some is poly, but some is cotton. All are beautiful! I’ve got my work cut out for me...oh wait, I will actually have to cut it myself.😂
Thanks for the shout out, Viv. You are going to LOVE M6073. It is such a pleasure to wear. You got some really nice patterns from EBay. I love the neck line of the last top you showed, so I’m excited to see what you end up sewing-because Lord knows you have all the fabric and patterns to sew, not so sure of the time-lol Keep up the good work!!
Hi Viv,you are certainly going to have a busy sewing time, hope you enjoy!. As always your hair looks stunning. The top you are wearing looks great on you, just think how cool it will be when you are busy doing your cleaning and cooking😆 . Have a good week Viv xx
Viv you are an inspiration to me. I love your style. Looking forward to each video. I am new to sewing clothes and have learned a lot from you. Thank you for sharing your makes, fabric, and patterns.
Wonderful fabrics. The brown sheer fabric would be great for a top with a Cami underneath to go with the brown pants fabric. Now for the patterns I have M6102, and M 7742 too. Great choices!
While I don’t mind the noise your shoes make when you are modeling your lovely creations I realize some folks are more sensitive to certain noises. One solution would be to get a long 2’ x 5’ long remnant that you could use as your “runway” for your fashion shows. You could roll it up and store it when not in use. I enjoy watching your videos they are informative, creative, and fun to watch!
I just ❤️U!🤗❤️. You are so sweet and down to earth☺️😂 I’m the same way. I hate to cook and clean. But I love to craft and “try” to sew🤣😂🤣😳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you. Keep given us these cute and wonderful videos🤗🤗😘❤️👍🏻👍🏻
I always look forward to your videos! So happy to see you pop up. Your hairdo is absolutely lovely, and it matches your soul. Can’t wait to see what you make this month,. Happy Monday!
Oh gosh, Deanna, this is so sweet. Thanks!! I love the little haircut school. I always say Beyoncé herself would not receive more precise care in the chair. They are meticulous. The supervisors swoop in and instruct. My husband objects to the amount of time a haircut takes, but he went with me last week and wound up with a dynamite cut that makes him look years younger!! He didn’t get a shampoo, so his was $2 cheaper.😄👍
Great haul. So much fun going through your fabrics and patterns. I have 1 or 2 of the same McCall and simplicity patterns you have. I just finished M6886 and M7116. Cant wait to see your makes!
Beautiful haircut! Suits your personality. Great fabrics and patterns. The suiting for the pants, the vintage look fabrics, and the palm print. Just always an upper watching your vids! Have a fantastic week! Maybe a button up shirt with the mesh, then cami under it, wearing it open like a jacket. Oh , but button up classic shirt takes so long. You'll surprise us I know, what will you make? 🤔😀
Yay! Great fabrics and loads of patterns....I know what you mean about a messy house when you have sewing projects going on...😱 It drives me crazy too 😵 And it's so nice when we get things done and the house is clean again just to mess it up all over again ..😬 Sewing is so worth it! You really got some great buys on that Fabric! Your hair ALWAYS looks great! 💇🤗 Loved the stickers! Hope to find some🤗
Love your new hair - great price. You have some great fabrics and patterns at insane prices! Always a joy to watch! Oh and I knew what you meant when you said your talk would be boring but seriously Viv you are anything but boring. I would love to hear your sewing story!
Sat down with my laptop. Notification: New from Vivmom! Dropped everything and watched. I always love sitting down and hearing what's up, what's new, what's coming up next! I honestly do not know how you find these cheap fabrics. One day I'll learn. I think I love every single one of those Kwik Sew patterns! I've been going thru my pattern stash and not finding anything for knits. Time to go Kwik Sew shopping! I saw that Hobby Lobby had McCalls for $1.99 this week (yes, you have me checking the Hobby Lobby sale flyer each week). But I don't think there's anything I want for right now, so I'm passing on it. I think I did see that rayon print there, though - that is going to make a gorgeous summer dress! Can't wait to see it. Anything Hawaiian-ish, yes please! I need to do a makes video. I've done nothing with my channel for so long and it's time to get back into it. It'll be like having a conversation. Should be fun - expect to be mentioned and raved over : D
Jen you are a sewing maverick and you make your daughters clothes, too. You need to do a Makes video and come back here and leave a link!! Thanks for all your support. I look forward to returning the favor!!😄👍And yes, go Kwik Sew shopping. It’s fun and you deserve it! (I feel like the website is due for a $3.99 sale soon.🤞)
Hair is fabulous! Price is amazing... I’m from Canada and will be visiting La Quinta next week... Hobby Lobby will be my first stop - may have to mail home all the stuff I buy!
Hi trib - definitely visit Hobby Lobby. They’re clean and friendly and have adorable cottons. They’re starting to stock more apparel fabric, too. Look for some rayon poplin that is smooth and drapey (kinda thin, pretty colors), the stretchy bengaline, some pretty knit prints and then seasonal stuff that can range from gauze, poly wovens, stretch lace, seersucker, poly/cotton blends, all kinds of good stuff. There’s usually only one display of that, though, so not a huge choice. I want to send everyone to HL because the higher the demand, the more likely we’ll get it! And they have McCall’s, Simplicity, New Look and Kwik Sew patterns. The KS prices aren’t great - about $11 a pattern, which is why I wait for the online sale. But I have noticed a plethora of KS patterns in their drawers that I haven’t seen on the website. What is a gal to do?!?! Anyway, I’ll shut up now, but I sure hope you enjoy your visit.😄👍
I saw the video and I can't imagine anyone thinking you meant the ASG was boring. It was very clear you meant your story. If anyone did think you meant something other than your story, well than they did not listen.
Shucks, thank you dabba. Maybe I let this one spin a bit out of control in my head, but I couldn’t bear to think someone would believe I would be so flippant.
Love your hair Viv and the haul :-D I have the simplicity 2917 and I'm inspired to sew it up now that i've seen yours! Thank you for posting and CLOMP away mwhaaahh ;-) xx
Thank you SO much for the head's up on the Mc Call's pattern sale at Hobby Lobby. Six patterns for $12...woo hoo!!! I have had my eye on that tiered prairie/pleasant skirt with the elastic back waistband (M7604) as well... and now it is MINE! (insert maniacal laughter)
Oh I’m right there with you - maniacal laughter and all. I just put up a new video with another great sale announcement. Enjoy! And thanks for writing.😄
You are always fun, never boring and could never offend Viv 😁. An amazing haul again and you need some serious sewing time 😉. Looking forward to seeing everything sewn up ✂ 👌😊💝
Just finished a skirt with dark green bengaline from H.L. A little tricky to work with. Difficult to press. Used a press cloth and did Ok. Can't wait to see what you make with that.
I felt comforted reading your message, Cynthia! Thanks. I like an orderly house and clutter makes me mutter, so I routinely blow through and purge stuff, but a deep clean? Eek. That’s long overdue. It’s just a lot more fun and less bad mood-inducing to play in the fabrics and patterns and rev up the sewing machine.😄👍
That’s excellent news, Lavada! I certainly fell in love with all things sewing when I returned to it. It’s so different now to have all these supplies; way back in the day I’d choose - choose! - a local fabric store to visit and buy everything I needed to make one outfit: pattern, fabric, notions. There was no great storage of fabric and patterns, and my little 1977 Sears sewing basket held my needles and pins. Now I’ve got a full fledged (though relatively modest) sewing studio and still I buy more. It might be a disorder, but hey. It’s a good one!😄👍
@@vivmomsews4962 Still have my 1976 Sears sewing basket purchased by Dad with supplies to get started. He was so proud that I had purchased a used Singer... $49 with my first grown up paycheck. Passed that machine on when I got a Bernina several years later!
The mesh would work well as contrasting sleeves. I like when you show the fabrics you get because I order from them also, (my not on your level...) and I can see the fabrics that I am thinking about ordering but wish I could get a better look at them, and you show me that.
Love your hair...you got a deal ! The "awning fabric" (ha ha), I see it as a caftan or loose slacks. I'd use it for my wardrobe. Fell in love with the palm/leaf print in green...OMG...anxious to see your "make". I have about 3 favorite TH-cam sites and YOU are one of them. The other two are cruise travelers...all fun topics. Have a great week !
We have the same taste in patterns, I have looked for some of the ones you have! I am so greatful for your videos!! So fun to watch the fabrics you find and the patterns~!
love your purchases! Waiting for the green leaf print, you have several patterns selection for a fun dress. It does take about 3 yards to make a dress. I've been making a princess line dress for my Mother for Mother's Day. She needed it smaller in the shoulders to bust adjustment. Made for a quick alteration. She can now wear the dress for Mothers Day!
Don't loose sleep over your comment.. I did not think that when I watched it. I am sure they understood what you were saying also. Loved your video and pattern haul.. I am heading to Hobby Lobby tomorrow, have to do pattern sales.. smileloved your fabrics also.. thank you for doing these hauls.. Gives me so many ideas.. thanks. Happy sewing
Viv, love your hair and the money saved is great! The suiting msterial is nice. Like to have some stretch, personally. Great savings. Great fabrics. Love your description of the 40's versus the 60's. Ha..no need to apologize, Viv... you are not dull. Everybody loves you! Havent you noticed yet?
Keep clomping! And, you said in your original video, that you thought YOUR STORY would be boring. It's a shame that some people jump to the wrong conclusions. It happens on the daily though. Love your pattern choices and I look forward to your makes---whenever you get around to sewing them. :)
Love your taste in patterns Viv, I have eight of the same ones lol. You got some great fabrics in that haul! What a awesome price for your hair cut. I wish I was so brave to try the school in my city.
Don’t worry Viv about your story because it sounded like you thought your story would be boring. I don’t think anyone would have thought that you meant anything else. Btw, I don’t think your story was boring at all. I also think that your haircut is adorable!
Wow! You are going to be busy as usual with all the new patterns and fabric. I did make a cotton mumu the other day with fabric I bought at a swap meet in our town. Can’t beat $2.00 for 4 yards. Turned out great! Loved it. Also made a new lap quilt and getting ready to start a new quilt, just getting my fabrics together. Can’t wait til our new Hobby Lobby is built. They are working on it. Thank goodness. Love your videos so keep them coming and I don’t mind longer ones! If you have content, I’m watching!
I took your "boring" comment just the way you meant it, we do get caught up with things w say don't we?. Beautiful haircut! I have similar fabric to your brown floral! Beautiful pieces.
Thanks dear. I really got turned inside out with that possible gaffe. It’s been reassuring that it may not have been as bad as I thought. The woman from ASG who invited me was so nice. I can’t stand to think that I may have put her off. You’re so sweet to write!💕
This is my first comment, but I absolutely love watching your videos. I just wanted to echo everyone else in saying that I definitely didn't interpret your comment as meaning that you thought ASG was boring. Please don't let it keep you up! And for the record, I think everyone here would be thrilled to attend your hypothetical ASG presentation.
Hi 😀.... question? Could you please going forward let everyone know when that Fabric place offers those $2.00 sales. I really want to sew and save money too. Everything's lovely....thanks !! Tricie (The Sewing Bratt)
Viv, #3746 pants are so easy and comfy!!! Please try them as they are shown I think you will love them! I've made four pairs so far lol. Love them with a more fitted tee.😉
I saw your video and I also didn’t think you came across saying the ASG was boring just your story, although I think they would find it most interesting. Yet again a wonderful selection of fabrics xx
First I want to tell you that I love the length of the new cut. Looks more youthful. In addition, your hauls are terrific. Thanks for the notice of the sales. Could you make a video of good fabric sites to buy fabric? I know you mention some in your hauls but I would like a list to bookmark in my computer. Thanks for your hard work and videos.
Good to see another video from you! I love that top you are wearing, that's so cute! And I love your haircut, it really suites you! I usually end up cutting my own hair because nobody sees it down. I always keep it up in a hair clip, LOL! But I just realized, it's really similar to yours! I'll betcha I've got more gray than you do though! Well, I got a Kwik Sew 2467 from 1995 in the mail today. It's Panties, Camisole and Slips. I also got a Butterick 3264 from 2001, which is Teddy, Slip, Bra top and Shorts. With more on the way. I've been scrounging the vintage and slightly vintage patterns online and having a blast! I got some really nice cotton broadcloth, brown, blue in two shades and white. I'm making a bunch of culottes to wear out in the garden. I'll use the white for some tunics which I plan on putting some embroidery on and some batik.
Oh my goodness, never boring...you would have held their interest and inspired them, heck you make a pattern review exciting! After that talk you would need an agent to book you on tours to groups around the country! You have great hair and are so brave to take that chance with a student. Finally got my machine back and they told me to use a different needle, I broke the whole pack before the week was out, going back to the regular ones I always use. Ready to sew some summer things. Love your patterns, how to decide. Love the "elegant" tunic. So nice to see you and hear all you have to say, never long enough and never ever boring!
Hi doll - I can’t believe your machine is snapping needles like that. Ugh! Yes, go back to what you’re comfortable with and I will say a prayer that your machine complies. As to my speaking in public, all I can say is: yikes! It’s one thing to talk to a camera or friends at a party, but I think some social anxiety might rear its ugly head if I had to stand on a stage and address a large group. I told this exact thing to the lovely woman who invited me, and I definitely told her that my sewing story is nothing unique. She let me off the hook very kindly. It sort of reminds me of being asked to be a flower girl at a wedding in 1975. I was far too shy. Why the heck does that stay with me all these years later?! Life is funny that way. I love being out and about and chatting with store employees or folks at the library. I could probably man up a bit and just speak in some public settings. Maybe someday! I surely appreciate your vote of confidence.😄💕
@@vivmomsews4962 You are just too kind. Thank you I really appreciate your reply. Just keep doing the wonderful things you are doing! Have a Wonderful Mother's Day!!!!
I know what you mean about not wanting to do housework and just wanting to sew!! That’s me too! Although I have to tell you, you got me so inspired about sewing that I’ve spent a whole bunch of money on a new serger and patterns and fabric, and I got in trouble with my husband! He’s such a spoil sport!! Love your purchase videos. Now all I want to do is go to hobby lobby and buy their 1.99 patterns! I also wanted to say that when you talked about the boring thing, I totally understood what you meant, and I pretty much think everybody else did too. So please relax. But you are definitely not boring. You could make a boring story really funny and cute. You should have gone, they would have loved you.
When you showed the PJ pattern and said you are going to make the top for Brad I was focused on the ladies PJs and all I could think was, "I wonder if she'll put lace on it." Yes. I am crazy.
I’d use the mesh to make a poncho - something you might wear over a shift dress on a summer evening. Do you ever go to the Fabric Place Basement in Alexandria? We’ve made the trek from Richmond. It’s much nicer than anything we have here.
So happy to hear of your safe arrival home - with memories of an epic trip!! It was special that Candace and I got to be a small part of it. Thanks Gemma! Happy sewing! Give yourself some time to recuperate from all your traveling. And then...you’ll be ready to crush!!
Awesome haul! I love your picks. I love seeing what you make with the fabrics you bought. It's fun when I recognize one from a previous haul. And, I knew you meant your story would be boring; which I doubt it is. Your personality alone would not make it boring. I'd love to hear it. I think you have briefly talked about it in your videos, but I could be wrong.
Ah Trish, you’re a sweetheart. Thanks for this message, I so appreciate it! And thanks for liking my odd ...interesting?... fabric picks. Every so often I get my orders and wonder what on earth I was thinking. Groovy printed mesh - I’m looking at you!😖
Oh Viv , that check one would make some gorgeous cigarette pants (1950's) . Great to see you smiling again. I know what you mean about wanting to sew and do nothing else.
Ahh, I needed that “good luck” wish Céline, because I haven’t sewn a blessed thing. Ran into a roadblock and walked away. I’ll get over it and kick it into high gear as the month progresses. Thank you!😄
Hello, I think you should speak to the ASG chapter about your sewing story. I think it would be very interesting and I think a lot of us would love to hear it. Maybe make a video? Perhaps the ASG wanted not only to hear your story, but needed and wanted to enjoy your positive, happy, bubbly, BIG personality. Please do it when things return to "normal." Thank you. LOVE your channel.
Hello This is my first time posting and I must say that is great to find kindred spirits. Vivmom, I have so many of the patterns that you show. Recently, I cataloged my fabrics. I have over six hundred yards of cotton and I believe that I have just as much in bins downstairs. I just find peace in the fabric store. I am working on getting rid of some. I love the sewing stickers too!
Hi Valerie! Yay, a fellow fabric and pattern lover! I don’t know what it is about textiles but I seemingly can’t get enough. Well I do know what it is: the variety, the beauty, the possibilities. What’s not to love? Same with patterns. I think that we “creative types” just feel more alive scheming and dreaming of something to make. We need a full arsenal of supplies.👍I do applaud your efforts to downsize, but thank that fabric on its way out. A few moments of peace and flights of fancy are pretty much priceless! Thanks for writing!😄💕
I love you! You echo my mind! Yes, where does the time go? Yes, don't feel like cooking and cleaning anymore!! Yes, the haircut academy loves me, too, so easy to please, like, surprise me! Preach it, girl!😄👍

Another FANTASTIC video!! Love your passion, energy, fine taste, cute hairdo, and everything Viv-acious!!💝💗💖😊
You made me smile, Jude! Thank you!! You are a treat and so generous.💕
That penny brown floral looks like a dress my grandma wore, I'm in my 70's so your 40's 50's time frame is right!
I get so excited when you pop up on my feed. I think you have enough projects to keep you sewing for years.
Funny you say that, Cherry. I’ve set a 10 year goal for myself to sew all this. The clock started when I was 54 so I’m two years in and yet there is a wee problem: I keep buying more patterns. Wonderful fabrics. The brown sheer fabric would be great for a top with a Cami underneath to go with the brown pants fabric. Now for the patterns I have M6102, and M 7742 too. Great choices!
It makes me sew happy to see “Vivmom Sews” pop,up in my TH-cam feed 😊

Thanks Alison, and everyone!! You all make this totally worthwhile.😄👍
Me too! Now that I found her! Would like to know all the fabric places to buy:)))
You are so sweet and down to earth☺️😂
I’m the same way. I hate to cook and clean. But I love to craft and “try” to sew🤣😂🤣😳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you. Keep given us these cute and wonderful videos🤗🤗😘❤️👍🏻👍🏻
I just love watching your videos! The energy and realness is what I enjoy the most. Keep doing what you doing girl! 💝💞
Aww thanks KaseyD! You’re so nice to leave me this happy message. Consider my day made!😄💕
I always look forward to your videos!
Hope to find some🤗
Always a happy day when there is a Vivmom Sews Video! Thanks so much!
Thanks Shari!! So sweet to tell me, and I see those thumbs-up that others have given!💕
Wow!! What great patterns and fabric, and so cheap. I love Kwik Sew patterns, I want some like yours, mostly the dress patterns.
@@vivmomsews4962 Done! It's up and it's long - but May's Makes will be far shorter. th-cam.com/video/i1NDCmSG3cE/w-d-xo.html
I agree with 722dabba. I understood you to mean your story would be boring.
Phew! Thanks CCP!
Love your hair Viv and the haul :-D I have the simplicity 2917 and I'm inspired to sew it up now that i've seen yours! Thank you for posting and CLOMP away mwhaaahh ;-) xx
Thanks Gaynor and everyone else. I’ll try to tone down the clomp factor!😄👍
Looking forward to seeing everything sewn up ✂ 👌😊💝
Hi Sally! Some lovely cheer from you as always. You know just what to say to make someone feel good. Thank you!😄💕
Just finished a skirt with dark green bengaline from H.L. A little tricky to work with. Difficult to press. Used a press cloth and did Ok. Can't wait to see what you make with that.
New subbie all the way from Nigeria. You are so fun. Watched your April makes video and was hooked. So gonna watch all your uploads. ❤❤❤
Hello LADY PEACE! I’m so happy you’re here! Thank you for writing.😄💕
Thank you for an idea with the black stripe suiting I need suites anyway that I can mix and match the tops and bottoms with. xoxo : ))
Oh viv I so relate...cleaning cooking gets in the way of my playtime as well....🥰
I felt comforted reading your message, Cynthia! Thanks. I like an orderly house and clutter makes me mutter, so I routinely blow through and purge stuff, but a deep clean? Eek. That’s long overdue. It’s just a lot more fun and less bad mood-inducing to play in the fabrics and patterns and rev up the sewing machine.😄👍
Love, love your haircut....it looks adorable😉. Love all your fabric choices and all the patterns....you go!!!!!
Aww Patti, so nice! Thank you!😄💕
Love it all! You and Joy Bernhardt have inspired me to start sewing again.
I have so many of those patterns, it's fun to know that you have them too! Your cosmo student did a great job!
Love your hair...you got a deal ! The "awning fabric" (ha ha), I see it as a caftan or loose slacks. I'd use it for
my wardrobe.
That’s how I heard it...we all think we are more boring then we really are..... love ya!
love your purchases!
Amazing that I have the same floral with brown background fabric from FFC, I thought it was vintage 1930's. Great fabric and patterns
Sewing is more fun than cooking or cleaning
I will drink to that for sure!!
Thanks Laurie. You’re a sweetheart.😄💕
Thanks Diane! I’m so happy about your muumuu!! You made my day.😄👍
I took your "boring" comment just the way you meant it, we do get caught up with things w say don't we?.
Love the haircut! Nice fabric haul; I love the navy stretch material. You can't go wrong with navy any time of year. Have a ball sewing this month. 🌷
Blessings on you, L B-R.💕Thanks for writing!
You’re so funny I really like your videos and such you are deffo on the same wavelength as me for fabrics and patterns. Thank you.
Hi 😀.... question? Could you please going forward let everyone know when that Fabric place offers those $2.00 sales. I really want to sew and save money too. Everything's lovely....thanks !! Tricie (The Sewing Bratt)
You’re in luck - Fashion Fabrics Club is running a 60% off sale right NOW! It ends May 13, I think. Run!😄
Hi Viv, loved your fabric haul! You know that beautiful black and tan mesh you shared, that would be beautiful in a colorblock summer top!
I loved this haul. My fave fabric is the palm frond green print! I enjoy your videos so much.
Thank you, Eve, and I love that fabric too! It’s just cool looking like a rainforest.😄👍
Viv, #3746 pants are so easy and comfy!!! Please try them as they are shown I think you will love them! I've made four pairs so far lol. Love them with a more fitted tee.😉
I Love all the fabric and all your patterns. Great choices. see ya next time. God Bless.
Thanks Francine! Always lovely to hear from you.😄💕
Good to see another video from you!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the fabrics!
A friend & I are going to Hobby Lobby one day this week. I will be checking the patterns. Maybe even some fabric.
Your shoes, really? So now Joy can't laugh and you must be shoeless! Lol! I love your videos just the way they are...just keep doing you and sewing!
Jan Lattimer It’s crazy. People can be so mean. Just keep going as you are. That’s the important thing. 😀
If Joy stops laughing we’re doomed.😭Thanks for your kindness, Jan!
Love you Viv! You are just so real :) thanks for sharing.
When you showed the PJ pattern and said you are going to make the top for Brad I was focused on the ladies PJs and all I could think was, "I wonder if she'll put lace on it." Yes. I am crazy.
😂
Now Brad is a secure man, but I do think he’s going to draw the line at lace on his pullover tee.😂You’re not crazy, Kathi, you’re creative!!
McCalls 7786 pants would look great with the leafy green material. On QVC Denim Co. last Friday they had summer pants just like that.
Ooh that’s a lovely idea, Sandi, thanks for passing it along!😄💕
I’d use the mesh to make a poncho - something you might wear over a shift dress on a summer evening. Do you ever go to the Fabric Place Basement in Alexandria? We’ve made the trek from Richmond. It’s much nicer than anything we have here.
this is Maggie from Illinois, found u on u tube love listening to u.
My goodness....... that suiting is just gorgeous.
Nice to see you again. i love the fabrics they are great. What a deal on those patterns. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Take Care.
Thanks Trisha! The pattern deals made my heart sing. (Is that okay to admit??😂)
Can't wait to get sewing again. With your motivation it will happen. I came home with 15 pieces of fabric. Got home yesterday safe n sound. 🌸🌼🌹 xox
So happy to hear of your safe arrival home - with memories of an epic trip!! It was special that Candace and I got to be a small part of it. Thanks Gemma! Happy sewing! Give yourself some time to recuperate from all your traveling. And then...you’ll be ready to crush!!
@@vivmomsews4962 Great advice. Washing and stuff everywhere. Xox
I love your hair. The fabrics are lovely. Good luck with the sewing this month.....
Ahh, I needed that “good luck” wish Céline, because I haven’t sewn a blessed thing. Ran into a roadblock and walked away. I’ll get over it and kick it into high gear as the month progresses. Thank you!😄
I love your energy pretty lady!!! You're an inspiration.
Thanks for all the Hobby Lobby info... only 5 more sleeps 🤗
Hairstyle is cute and your top is adorable even if it's big. Enjoy your week
Thanks Delores, aren’t you lovely!😄💕
Hello, I think you should speak to the ASG chapter about your sewing story. I think it would be very interesting and I think a lot of us would love to hear it. Maybe make a video? Perhaps the ASG wanted not only to hear your story, but needed and wanted to enjoy your positive, happy, bubbly, BIG personality. Please do it when things return to "normal." Thank you. LOVE your channel.
Thanks Tinker Bell!💕I may make a video about it, but it’s not terribly exciting.😂
Hello
This is my first time posting and I must say that is great to find kindred spirits.
