Your videos are never too long, I would never worry about that. I love watching your fabric hauls, your patterns and what you sew. You are a delightful, fun and lovely person, with a lovely family. I love how your kids are involved with your sewing too. Wonderful! Keep up the great work.
Well, Filmnut Girl, you certainly know how to make someone’s day!😄 Thank you for all of these lovely thoughts. So sweet!💕 I’m happy that you enjoy the fabric hauls. Someone asked “is that all you’re going to do?” which seemed to suggest some disappointment. I hate to tell her but I’ll be doing fabric hauls til I drop (patterns too!) And of course there is other content in the mix...point being, it’s nice to hear that you enjoy the hauls.👍 Friday I will be featuring a look at my sewing room, and you can see how I store my fabric. Time to make room for more!! Thanks again for your compliments, they mean a lot!💐
You are so easy to love. Years ago I heard a counselor advise us to hang out with the people we wanted to be like--so I hang out with you! I'm hoping to catch some of your enthusiasm and creative talent. I love clothing, too...especially skirts. I love skirts. You can pick up all colors, styles, and widths of belts at thrift stores. Pop into Goodwill and check out the belts. (from Grandma Bunny in Phoenix).
Well, if this isn’t the nicest comment I don’t know what is, Grandma Bunny.💕Thank you so much! I love hanging out with you! As for skirts, I desperately need to make more. They’re a great item of clothing and I have very few. Good tip about picking up a belt at Goodwill.👍I don’t have any! Watch today for September recap and October plans...I’m giving you a little scoop!😄🌸
Love your fabric haul!.. Im gonna head to Walmarts tom. to check out their fabrics! They are all beautiful!.And I am with you; I love shift and tunic style dresses!..They are pretty, slenderizing, comfortable and in the summer, they keep you cool. Your fabric with the big circles would make a great 3/4 length Kimono Jacket. They are back in style now..Enjoy all of your fabric treasures, and patterns. Cant wait to see what you make with them! 👍
I just discovered your videos and I am thrilled to watch pattern and fabric reviews, demos, makes, tips and all you love about sewing. I feel like you are in my living room and we are chatting about sewing. Keep them coming!! It is rare to find anybody that shares my passion for fashion sewing. Thank you....thank you...thank you!!
When my sister was going through cancer treatment her prescription bill was several hundred dollars a month, when she said she didn’t have enough money to pay ( I think it was $500.) they forgave the bill, no charge, this happened to her twice that I know of. Do I love Walmart you bet I do.
Yay! Welcome Kathy and happy you’re here!😄👍 There will be fabric...there will be patterns...there will be garments. These things I can promise. Oh yeah, and a lot of goofiness too, but I’m working on that.
love watching your videos! You have inspired me to sew again😃 at age 65! God bless you and thank you for sharing your finds with us. I look forward to your videos...thank your family for sharing you with us❤
Videos too short? Never. I could watch all day long! I learn so much from watching your videos. I really want to learn about all the different types of fabric and their names-you do an excellent job explaining and showing the different fabrics!
I was visualizing an outfit out of 3 pieces of that fabulous fabric haul. Cigarette pants out of the coral, a simple 3/4 sleeve knit top out of the last piece, then a 3/4 length coat out of the circles (which I think is great). The Wal-Mart issue is indeed a double-edged sword, but I will say this. Years ago I popped in to one on the way somewhere looking for something in particular in the fabric dept. They had it, but better yet was the 85 year old woman who helped me with such a little spark in her stride. She had been there many years and loved her job. I remember her telling me something like she just did not know what she would do if she did not have her job.
We are simpatico (did I spell that right?) on the fabric/garment ideas, Susan! I totally want pants out of the coral. Totally!! Definitely a knit top out of the last, and I adore 3/4 sleeves. A coat out of the circles! I had not thought of that...must mull it over. I was sort of going down the holiday dress trail with that one. As to your 85 year old lady in the fabric department, there’s an 86 year old lady in my Walmart’s sewing department. 👵🏻 She’s been there for 16 years and said “I told them I’d quit on the spot if they move me to another department!” She has great tales of sewing. What a treat. I really love seeing the people who work @ Walmart when I go. Pretty much without exception, they’re all wonderful in their own ways. Thanks for writing!😄👍
Susan Kennedy Walmart may not be everyone’s favorite, but some 35 years ago we had next door neighbors, it was a bad situation, hard drinking man, mother was a homemaker. Walmart was the only place she could find a job. It gave her the opportunity to be free, earn enough to support her kids. It literally changed her life! When I would see her after, she would always have a smile on her face.
I love your cheerfulness. You are such a joy to watch. Such an inspiration to the world of sewing. Thank you for doing the vlogs . They are never too long. If anything I wish they were a little longer. Have fun sewing today. Can't wait to see the jacket and the new fabrics
Oh Natalia, bless you. This is so nice.💕 Thank you! I will remember this post when I’m feeling like a dunce - too loud and not knowledgeable enough, etc. We really are all learning here together. I’m so grateful for everyone who’s contributing to sewing. It all adds up. I don’t want sewing to fade away! Let’s keep it strong!😄👍
Hi Mary, I have late breaking news about those dots. That is actually two fabrics joined together! They’re very light and sheer and have the moire swirls in them. Really not heavy enough for a cold-weather coat, though I think this fabric screams vintage spring coat, with 3/4 sleeves. I may go the full holiday skirt route. Can’t decide!!
You’re the sweetest! Thanks Dora, ya know, it really means a lot to hear positive feedback. I appreciate it! Oh man, I’ve got some serious sewing to do. Deep breath.😄
I have only just discovered your youtube channel but I love your enthusiasm. I think it's great that you get your fabric so cheaply but here in NZ we're a bit more ripped off than most so....... show us the expensive stuff.......it makes us feel better :):) I am originally from the UK (12 years ago) but only started sewing for myself 3 years ago and I am 52......should have started 25 years ago when my two girls were babies and I could have bought fabric a lot cheaper than now. Keep on doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching. Your enthusiasm is contagious. :):)
Hi Earthlypower👋! Thanks for joining me. I feel terrible when I hear about the high prices of fabric and patterns overseas, and in Canada too. We had no idea we had it so good here with the sewing supplies. I wish it were more fair for you guys.☹️ How wonderful that you started sewing 3 years ago.👍 I started a long time ago and then took a long break. Decided to sew a dress 2 years ago and fell in love with sewing...in a major way I could not possibly have foreseen. I think it was the perfect storm of my children growing up and leaving home and the fact that I needed some new clothes that weren’t mass produced. I love the designing aspect of sewing - choosing our own fabrics and looks that we want, and not necessarily what we’re “told” to wear. At any rate, I’m having fun with the channel, it’s a pleasure to meet so many people who sew and love fabric as much as I do! Yay!!😄🎉🎊
Omg fabulous I am in to matching tops bottoms or jacket the has multiple uses such good fabrics you know when the leaves plies up I like to jump in my fabric so good
hi sewy sewy here i have also found that hobby lobby and walmart have enlarged their area of fabric and have more fabric that is better than it use to be and i figure it is because of the surge in the sewing community that makes me happy because more fabric more shops makes it so nice for all of us your fabric all looks great have a good day
Oh sharon, I hope you’re right about that surge! It does kinda feel like more people are sewing! Maybe not enough for more fabric stores to pop up, but it’s nice to dream...😄👍
Would be fun to watch a 'what's in my wardrobe' video, if you're thinking of doing something like that. I can't imagine how you store all your clothes. :)
Great part 2. Again great fabrics & patterns, keep u very busy. I know what you mean about Walmart. Look forward to your sewing room tour. Thanku for sharing. X
My Walmart had a clearance sale on there knit fabrics last week at 1.25 a yard. Really really nice knit fabrics, some real nice cotton as well. I didn't even know they sold fabric lol! I was a very happy lady!!! Btw, your videos are never too long!
Can't wait to see the garments made from these great fabrics ... Such variety . I so admire your get-up-and-go ! I'm too likely to sit around deliberating and not getting on with the sewing . 😂😂 I'm inspired by your sense of purpose and confidence 👍👍👍
I was thinking big full tea length skirt for the big dots just as you said it! Walmart has some great fabric at times, they shocked me! Love your enthusiasm and no the videos are not too long!! 👍🏽
Hi Pamela👋! Full skirt, yay! I think I may have to do that instead of a coat, which has also gotten suggestions and which I also think sounds great. Decisions, decisions!! Thanks so much for watching and writing!😄👍
YOU'RE JUST LOVELY AND YOUR VIDEOS ARE NOT TOO LONG!!! THANKS FOR SHARING. I SHOP WALMART FABRIC A LOT MYSELF, AND IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE SOME GOOD FINDS .
Hi Christine, I am a generally goofy happy person. But I feel sad in the morning. It’s an odd phenomenon with me. One thing is certain: fabric makes me inordinately happy! So do all these wonderful sewing people!💕
The prices for the McCall patterns are incredible. I paid nearly £14 for one this weekend and that was for a top. If we could pay those prices I’d have a good stash of patterns myself. Good vid anyway Viv you never fail to put a smile on my face with your upbeat personality.
I’m so sorry my pals overseas have to put up with expensive patterns, Kate!😌 It’s not fair. But thanks for being a trooper and enjoying my “scores” nonetheless.😄👍
Hi there Me again, my sister and I started quilting together a few years back after being invited to a quilt camp. What fun, we were hooked. She is a very good semstress like you but had never quilted. I only ever mended holes. But the love of fabric must have been there and you remind me of the way we get walking into a fabric store. 😊 One thing we have noticed here in Lancaster Pa is the Wal-Mart sewing secton is now huge and its like they got wind of whats going with all the fabric stores in town. They have for sure stepped up their game. Their prices are always great on batting and notons. Loved that Corduroy wow.. /ga
Hi Graceann👋! That’s so sweet that you and your sister share this love of fabric and crafting.💕 I’m interested to hear that about your Walmart. I hope they continue to expand their sewing departments and not do away with them! I’m saddened to read about how hard it is for people overseas and in Canada to get decent fabric and patterns that don’t cost an arm & a leg. Just not fair! Thank you for writing; I love that corduroy so much!😄👍
Loving all the hauls! Keep em coming! When you saw the big silver polka dot fabric as billowy skirt,😀 so creative! I was thinking what will she do, upholstery?, drapes? Haha. The drapey corduroy, 😃, never saw that ever and it is great. I want to make a drapey, not heavy, jumper in something like that. Or leggings in such a soft drape courdoroy; or even tunic top. I always grab pen and paper to jot down the pattern #'s you give out. Your vids are a great pick me up , it's that Vivmom spirit!
Gosh, Eljay, you’re a sweetheart.😄💕I’m afraid those big dots might actually BE drapes or upholstery fabric but hey, I like a challenge. The only thing I’m wondering - if I make it into a skirt - is what color top I should choose. I love your ideas for the corduroy, although someone suggested a skirt for it, and now I’m enchanted with that idea. So many options! I just always thought corduroy was stiff. Where have I been? Glad the patterns call to you...just glad overall that you’re here!👍
Great video! You purchase some beautiful Fabrics! There are no Walmarts anywhere near me that sell Fabric! This is so incredibly unbelievable because I see so many other Sewing buddies purchasing Walmart Fabric! LOL! I agree with your son on the big bold dot fabric… But knowing you, you will create something very special and exquisite from it! I just know it!
That’s so annoying that you don’t have a good fabric Walmart, Myra. What’s up with them?? So inconsistent! And thank you for a differing opinion - I welcome them. Back in another video someone said she wasn’t feeling the pineapple print challis (much like my daughter) and I said, “ok, that’s fine, I’m still going to make it anyway.”😄😂 Always lovely to see you!🌸
Wow!! Double win! Great fabric at a great price. Love the coral & the big dots. Nice pattern haul, too. I picked up some New Look patterns at Walmart today-didn't look at fabric-going to next trip. Keep missing pattern sales at Hobby Lobby. I've made 7322 several times-all views. Happy sewing 😊
Hi Laura, speaking of double: that big dot fabric is actually two fabrics joined together! I didn’t know that when I made the video. So it’s like a double gauze, but more moire like. So crazy! I’m so glad you found some good New Looks - they’re only $2.97 at Walmart, such a fair price. I’m really glad to hear 7322 is a good pattern; thanks! Happy sewing to you, too, and I hope you score some treasures on your next Walmart visit.😄👍
Definitely can't sleep on Wal-Mart fabric. I've found some really good stuff. I've also found some not so good that I use for muslin. You scored on that corduroy and purple print. I grabbed that McCall knit button up pattern as well. I was happy to get that one. Great haul
Yes, a button up knit shirt has me very happy! I had one years ago (store bought) and I wore it to death. No sleeping on Walmart fabric - that’s the truth. I’ve never seen the denim again, and I’d really like to buy more. It wasn’t heavy or stretchy, but it’s a great blue, doesn’t bleed, doesn’t wrinkle much, and was about $7 a yard. Come back, light denim!😄
I came across this video and absolutely love your personality...i just had to watch all your videos. I love collecting patterns especially vintage patterns. Love your pattern hauls. Just need to find time sewing again. Sending loves and happy sewing to you! ❤
Hi Sheila! Hey, you can see what I did with the big shiny polka dots in my February Makes, which I hope to have up next week. Thanks for letting me know about the successful patterns. It’s always good to hear when they work out, and of course any warnings to stay away are appreciated too! See you soon!😄💕
Hobby Lobby is a far drive for me, but I’m making it more and more often. I check the website for their sales. Last week all the Sewology notions were 50% off - time to take a drive!😄 Thanks, Connie! I have some serious sewing to do, don’t I?! Help!!!😄
Oh my gosh! Love your fabrics!!! My Walmart mostly carries cotton for quilting. I can't wait to see what you make with the giant polka dot fabric. I especially loved the orange fabric. Love seeing the patterns you choose. That blouse you had on is so cute! Love the fringe on the selves. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Hi Diane!👋 Your comment is just jam packed with wonderful-ness. (I was an English major, can you believe that??) The polka dot fabric is rocking my world...I’m thinking I have to go with a full holiday skirt. I keep throwing that phrase around like I have grand Christmas parties to attend - I don’t. Nothing on New Years either. I hope that I can make some successes with my McCalls patterns. I still sort of don’t trust them.😄 Thank you so much for all of your kind words and great encouraging enthusiasm!!
Omg you are so right, Wanda!! Now there’s even more to choose from! I think I had settled (sort of?) on a full skirt, but the color of a top was stopping me. With a dress the problem is solved BUT - is the giant print too much for head to toe? Will be mulling...😄
Hi Maine!👋Not all Walmarts have sewing departments, and even the ones that do vary widely. There’s a Walmart closer to me than the Burke store I go to; the close-by one has a tiny sewing department and 1 aisle of fabric. The Burke one has 3 aisles of fabric. Which really translates to a big difference!😄 Isn’t that corduroy the bees knees? I said I was thinking coat but maybe a skirt would show off the “swing” better. Decisions, decisions!😄👍
I know what you’re saying about Walmart. Last week I was walking thru the fabrics and ended up with 4 pieces. I also felt I had scored. Love your videos. So many ideas so little time
“So many ideas, so little time.” I am going to get that printed and framed for my sewing room wall! Love it! Thanks tekc96. And hey! You scored @ Walmart too! Cheers!😄👍
Thank you, Patricia! This was a Walmart haul for the record books. (Or, sewing books.) I couldn’t believe it. And all of this fabric was smushed into a back corner. Very strange! Then again, we’re talking about Walmart.🤣
Lots of great fabrics and patterns. I missed that sale at Hobby Lobby. I have bought a lot of fabrics from Walmart and they great quality and low prices. TFS
Hi Kris👋! I’ve always been happy with my fabrics from walmart. Can’t say that about Fashion Fabrics Club. (Though they’re mostly okay, but they’ve raised all their prices.) I made one of the McCalls and I think I might hate it. I’ll try it on tomorrow and see how it looks. Don’t start with me, McCalls!!😩
You are so FUN!!!! I ENJOY your videos so much. I love the idea of sewing my own clothes but the fitting part overwhelmes me. But I must say your success is inspiring. Do you have videos where you are taking a garment from cutting to wearing? I have seen the fabric shopping and pattern shopping.
I have that same tanish knit last month at our Walmart and I got it for $1.50 a yard. I enjoyed watching your haul and I don't mind buying fabric or anything else from Walmart. The large polka dot fabric would be awesome as a long skirt, with pants ( like the movie stars would wear ) or with a high, low hem. Great video, your son has a great eye for awesome fabric. Looking forward to your future videos.
Hi Brenda, I can totally picture the pants with attached skirt and agree that fabric would be fabulous as such. It is two fabrics joined together - I didn’t know that when I was filming. You got that knit for $1.50/yard? Score!!!😄👍Thanks for complimenting Colin! He wants a bowling style men’s shirt with the purple fabric - he’s got a vision!
Yes I did!! It was a struggle, but I’m not as good as all of you that I watch. But I am learning and that’s what is important right!!! Lol Love your videos!! Keep up the fashion shows
Viv, great haul(s). I am making a wrap skirt McCalls 5430. Supposed to take an hour, ROTFL. But it occurred to me that if I didn’t serge everything flat first it would take less time. It is supposed to be easy, but I don’t see it as a beginner pattern at all, the waistband is done in a way I find confusing. I am 57 and have sewn off and on since I was about thirteen, I have a pretty good skill set. All of that said, the sizing on patterns is very annoying. My waist is 32” and my hips are 39”,averaging that would put me between a 14 and a 20, which is just dumb. I made a 12 and it fits very well. I served flat because I wanted to be able to adjust the seams if needed, and I prefer pressing seams open. I struggle with perfectionism, but this time I just gave in! Happy sewing.
Hey Carole, this is great news!🌸Congrats on the skirt, on picking the right size, on not bogging down with perfectionism, on enjoying the process AND on finishing with a lovely garment! You hit it out of the park!!👍😄 You make some great points: “easy” ain’t “beginner.” I think that must be very misleading for a brand new sewer. And the size charts are...tricky. I prefer to skip down to the finished garment measurements column and work from that. A size 12 would be perfect for you. (You have a trim waist, unlike other people I know...ahem) Good job on the serging too!!😄
Vivmom Sews just to be clear, I gave into perfectionism, I didn’t fight it. I had time on my hands and sometimes it is nice to do the best you can. Others, it is nice to finish something quickly! Regarding the area surrounding DC, there is not a great excess of nice fabric stores. Hubby and I spend time there, and in Tacoma, WA, in the Tacoma are my Joann’s are quite nice, two of their super stores within 30 minutes, plus a smaller store. I don’t really have aWalmart that carries fabric any closer. I wanted to tell you to check out Wawak.com for thread, notions, tailors chalk, and interfacing, by the bolt. They are very competitive, and customer service is excellent. Also like Hancock’s of Paducah for online shopping.
I know what you mean about devoting time to certain projects. I don’t dislike hand sewing and sometimes I will go the extra mile to up the quality. Now wait - what is a Joann Super Store?? My Joann is the size of a shoe box and a very unkempt one at that. Nowhere are there apparel fabric displays with catchy names like “Beach Getaway.” I have heard of Wawak and their website almost overwhelms me. I broke down and ordered a separating zipper from Walmart, which was sold by a third party vendor - 18” zipper for $6. I bet Wawak could’ve blown that away.😖
I think it is called Joanne’s and more or similar, it is a very large Joann’s with tons of arts and crafts but also an extensive line of garment, home dec, and quilting fabric. I have been more of a fabric collector than sewer over the years so now I am mostly shopping my stash. Of course you still need bits here and there. There are some Etsy shops that sell zippers too, much better price. I think I paid .50 got 9” YKK brand.
Oh gosh, Robin, it’s no big thing. But thanks! I love it; small but efficient. I am absolutely NOT ALLOWED (a rule imposed by myself) to buy anymore fabric storage cabinets so currently I’m stuffing new acquisitions into the space I’ve got.😬 I’m thinking the little tour will be next week.👍
Loved seeing this today.... can't wait to see your sewing room! Great patterns....I want to sew some night gowns....love cotton knit for that. Cannot stand anything tight under my bust to sleep in....ha!!! I liked the fabrics you found at Walmart....sometimes you just stumble on to the perfect things at Walmart....ya never know...
So true, Debi, ya never know with Walmart. Oh I totally hear you on comfortable sleepwear. There’s nothing like a free flowing cotton knit nightgown, classic and perfect! Thanks so much for being here and writing; your thoughtful comments mean the world.😄💕
Where is this schedule posted? lol Love your videos. Your inflections are priceless. You are a born youtuber! How MOD with the gold/silver dots! AND oh my gosh, I was binge watching the Guardian last night and saw a knit button up with a collar. Wanted it! Poof and here you are with a variant of it in pattern form! That is going to be one very comfortable shirt! If I even make one it is going to be in a crisp white with little crystal buttons. I can see it now.
Here are some 💕for you from me, Miss Maureen. Thank you for your lovely words!! Gosh, I’m not worthy. But I will take them happily.😄Yes that is some MOD dot fabric. Crazy stuff, probably supposed to be drapes in a window. Drapes, skirt...it’s all the same🤣 oh and I’m so happy you love the button up knit shirt aesthetic! I just think it’s so cool. Maybe I won’t feel the same after I start trying to put in the buttonholes, lol.
Thanks Linda! I adore it myself. Ok, so it is made from wood pulp but is it considered a natural fiber?🤔I notice that it’s able to take very high heat and steam, which would tend to make it a natural fiber. But it’s usually billed as a synthetic. Maybe they add a bunch of chemicals to it. Whatever they do, I love it!
OH MY, I can't wait to see what you come up with, with the polka dot-animal print fabric!! I have on many occasions found fun and good fabric from Walmart. I love the ensemble you are wearing today. The trim is a lovely touch! Colin's shirt--yahoo!! I love stretch corduroy. What a fun polka dot fabric! Hang in there with the coat!! I may tackle a coat sometime after all the holidays!
Hi Joanne👋! Your post is bubbly and happy and I love it.💕And I thank you! That first fabric (polka dots/animal) is a stumper. I feel like I’m not skilled enough with border prints - well, time to try. Thank you for liking my top and the little embellishment on the sleeves. Colin wishes for a men’s bowling style shirt out of the peppy purple, and I aim to please.😄 The massive dots fabric is a personal favorite, despite the very probable fact that it’s drapery material. I am leaning heavily toward a full skirt for the holidays, though it’d be nice if I actually had someplace to wear it.😄
Hi Vivmom, Rayon is made from cellulose, it's plant based. However the process employs some toxic chemicals so some think of it more as a synthetic fabric. I have a lot of rayon guilt. Love the stuff.
Thank you Barbara! And that is great news that you’re thinking about sewing...can you hear it? It’s your machine saying “hey Barbara, I’ve missed you!”😄 Just being silly. I love the corduroy so much! I’ve got to figure out just what to make with it. I can’t believe how it swings. Maybe a swing coat? Hmm...
Hi Viv. Love the fabrics. Walmart is a hit and miss for fabrics where I live but I’m so excited that we are getting a brand new Hobby Lobby here. The closest one is almost an hour away, so getting our own is wonderful! I don’t think your videos are too long! Since I found your channel a few weeks ago, I went back and am binge watching your previous ones. I would love to see how you sew garments so quickly. Seems you are so fast getting your fabric sewn up. Can demonstrate your sewing for us? Thanks for some great info too.
Hey Diane, congrats on the new Hobby Lobby! I have to drive pretty far to get to one, but I’ll do so tomorrow to grab the $1.99 Simplicity sale. Amazing that I can find patterns I don’t already have, lol. I am actually buying some duplicates. I had a high production month in January but that’s not the norm. I feel like I don’t sew particularly fast, I pin and cut everything rather painstakingly. But I don’t leave projects unfinished, so the impetus to get them done is strong. Plus I just plain love it so much! Thanks for writing, and for going back through the videos! Talk soon, bye for now.😄👍
I can't wait to see what you make. I like the pajama pattern and scoop neck tee pattern. They seem like easy patterns for someone like me who is new to sewing apparel.
I totally agree with you, Angel. Have you made anything with knits? There are great TH-cam tutorials for putting on neck bands and what not. I am fairly new to knits - just about a year. I like how quickly they go together, nothing ravels, and you don’t have to hem them!😄👍
@@vivmomsews4962 I've only sewn one garment other than aprons. It was a tank top. I made the pattern myself from a tank I loved. It came out too small :( But, it looked really nice for my first top. I kept it just because its my first top ever :) I bought a couple of patterns to make some tops. One of them you featured in one of your videos. It was real cute. But, I bought woven cotton fabric and I don't think it will work. So, I am waiting to learn a little more and then I will go fabric shopping and give them a go :)
You’ve got a good head on your shoulders, girl, and I am so proud of your sewing journey. You’re wise not to hurry. And congrats on a cute top that you drafted yourself! That’s so cool. I would keep it too!😄👍
Yes.. Walmart is definitely a hit or a miss. I have gotten some really cool apparel fabric there! On an another note... I feel the Kimono Maxi dress would look fabulous on you at your wedding party I think you have mentioned in other videos. Especially if it is done in some slinky material. Keep your videos coming Vivian. You’re like a good friend showing me your sewing stash! I look forward to your videos.
Thank you Robina, you are a doll.💕🌸The positive feedback gives me so much energy! I love hanging out with you, fellow sewing buddy.👍 Oooh, a kimono maxi for the party sounds divine - the only hitch there is that I believe the bride is wearing a short dress. Would it be a gaffe for me to wear something long??🤔
Vivmom Sews ooooh I see what you mean. Hmm.. good question:). Back to the drawing board however the kimono dress is causal enough to pull off. It is not stuffy:). Whatever you pick you will look wonderful. See you in the next video.
All your fabric is beautiful, especially the coral stretch fabric and Colin’s shirt fabric! I also love the corduroy; I have some that is a little more of a taupe shade than yours, but doesn’t have as nice of a drape. I can’t get the idea of a corduroy shirtdress out of my brain, so I feel like that is what mine has to become. I do like your idea of a coat. Your new McCall’s coat pattern would be lovely made up in that beautiful corduroy! I can’t wait to see what you do with the polka dot fabric. As to Wal-Mart, there are a lot of people who don’t have access to a local fabric store, and Wal-Mart is a life saver for them. Whenever my husband hits the automotive department for oil and filters, I spend my time in fabric. A while back I had purchased some “homespun” fabric at Jo-Ann’s a few days prior to visiting Wal-Mart and was shocked when I realized how much cheaper the exact same fabric was at Wal-Mart. I might be wrong, but I sincerely doubt that Jo-Ann’s pays their workers proportionally more than Wal-Mart does. I don’t see all that much difference between buying at Jo-Ann’s or Wal-Mart; I’ve found good and bad quality fabric at both, and they are both big box stores that hire local workers. It’s taken me a while to get back to you about the Wonder Clips. I do like them, and they do have their place, but they will never replace pins for me. I think they would be awesome for things like sewing heavy fabric where pins are hard to use. I made a futon cover out of a rather heavy duck last year and they would have been awesome on that, but they have to be removed when they reach the front of the presser foot where pins can actually go under the presser foot when needed for precision. I press up hems early in the process of garment sewing, and the clips are nice to hold the hem in place until I get to that stage. I honestly don’t see myself using them extensively. I found 100 on ebay for 11.99 with free shipping, and I think it was worth it. Are they worth nearly $40 for 50 of them which is the local price here? Probably not fpr me. Hope you have a lovely week.
Hi Nadine👋! Lovely post as usual; thank you. I love the idea of a corduroy shirtdress. So perfect for Fall and winter - with boots. Adorable! The giant polka dot fabric has been swirling in my head and I believe it will finally be a full skirt, if I can figure out what color top would match. (And of course I really have no place to wear a fancy full skirt, minor detail.) I say Walmart over Joann any day of the week, but I have one of the worst Joann’s ever. At least I think so. Dirty, not stocked, disorganized, indifferent employees, and always a disappointment. Oh, and horrible fabric prices! Walmart does fill a huge need in so many communities and I love them for recognizing that some people sew. Truly I mean this, because it feels like sewers are bottom rung for being served well in stores. All the local fabric stores have evaporated, that probably has more to do with the rise of fast cheap fashion. Another topic altogether! I appreciate the Wonder Clips review, and was shaking my head in agreement with all that you wrote. I can see they would be greatly useful for heavy fabrics. Glad you got a relative deal on them! They are pricey. Great to hear from you. Keep sewing!😄💕
After reading your reply, I’ve realized that I don’t value Wal-Mart’s service to the sewing community enough. No one wants to spend a ton of money on a new craft until they're sure it’s a good fit for them. So spending $10-$15 dollars a yard for fabric really does impede new people from learning to sew. That’s about what most of the local quilt type shops charge. And if they want affordable fabric from Jo-Ann’s they have to catch a sale and play the coupon game. I am totally with you on Jo-Ann’s. When I used to live in South Carolina, I shopped at the Jo-Ann’s in Savannah, Georgia and absolutely loved it! The manager and staff made it such a great experience that a trip there made me feel like I was visiting friends. Since moving to North Carolina and living in several different towns here, my opinion of Jo-Ann’s has gone steadily downhill. About a month ago, I just gave up on them. I’m blessed to have a Hobby Lobby, as well as Wal-Mart, so I really don’t need to shop there. I’ve also been ordering a lot of notions and thread at Wawak, so all my sewing needs are easily met. Not that I need fabric, mind you!
Hi Viv - great haul - really really really I was going to Walmart this morning on my way to work - it is the only store open at 7am - I'm not a big fan either but will stop for a need I have at that early hour sometimes. I had looked at their fabric last time I was there to see if there was any fashion fabric - there were a few things. I'm going to take a better look this morning after seeing your haul. I hope those McCalls patterns don't disappoint you when you get to them - there were some cuties in the bunch!
Hi Obsessed Stitcher👋! I can tell you that all of this fabric was scrunched into a back corner, away from anything organized. It’s such a mystery! I hope you stumble into something wonderful if you decide to investigate in the fabric department.👍I share your hope with the McCalls patterns. I’m cautious after being burned, but how can they all be problematic?? Can’t happen!
Funny.... I am hitting Wally World. Aka Walmart in the morning. Sometimes I find some good stuff too. Can't wait to see what you create with the corduroy.
Love the haul! I think the first border print would make a fabulous circle skirt, you could use the cord with the 7476 coat pattern and use the large dot fabric for the lining. Also keep the purple it's your colour :-) Thank you for sharing x
Aw, thank you Gaynor - I love design ideas and yours are wonderful. See, I wouldn’t have thought of a circle skirt for the border print and now you’ve got me thinking about that...wow, that would be pretty. Corduroy for a light coat = yes! The purple IS my color - I bet I have some similar in my cabinets.😄👍
Wow Awesome Wal-Mart fabric Haul and Hobby Lobby pattern Haul!! My Wal-Mart fabric lady knows me. ; ) Remember a Long time ago a lot of stores had a fabric section. I'm glad Wal-Mart still does. Like the picture in the background on the coral wall, Great words to Live by.
Thank you, R! I had actually gotten to know “my” fabric lady @ Walmart, but she’s 86 and never remembers who I am. (I don’t blame her, I am in awe of the fact that she’s still working!) I drive out to the Burke Walmart because it’s the only one for miles that has a sewing department - a GOOD sewing department. Some of them are very bare bones. Such variations from store to store!! Enjoy your Walmart sewing department.😄👍And thank you for lovely comments!💕
Oooo, love all the walmart fabs -- who knew right??? I do love the big polka dots and will be so interested to see what you do with the navy dots n' zebra print! So fun! I never think your vids are too long at all. Looking forward to the next vid! xo
Aw elizzie, thank you.💕 I’m stumped with that zebra fabric. It might be a “what was I thinking?” Someone suggested a blouse, and that might work. But I don’t know... Glad you love the polka dots - it’s dramatic fabric for sure and very likely meant to cover couches or dress windows but hey! Why not?😄
Well I think you’re a peach for saying so, Stephanie!💕😄He’s asking for a men’s bowling style shirt out of the purple fabric. He’s thinking it would look cool with some faded ripped jeans. Whaddaya think?
HI vIvmom. Well i think Walmart can be a hit or miss. It depends. But good choices you picked. I can't wait to see what you do with the blue and white animal print. Love the coral fabric. The circle fabric is very interesting. All that for less than $50.00. That's great. I feel the same way with McCall's patterns, however this week at Hobby Lobby Simplicity patterns are on sale. I will be checking that out. I am finishing my summer makes. I am working on my husbands pants and short to take on our trip in 3 weeks. My new order from Style Maker Fabrics.com has finally come so I will be starting that soon. Your videos are great don't shorten them or they would lose content. I always enjoy your videos. They are lots of fun. See you at the end of the week. Bye Anna-Marie.
I wish I could see all of this marvelous sewing you’re doing, Anna-Marie!!🌸Would you like to start a TH-cam channel? It all sounds very good, and how nice to make your husband clothes for an upcoming trip.👍Yes, all of those fabrics I bought came to $47. The polka dot/animal print will be a challenge, but people have given me great ideas. I adore the coral fabric and would like to make pants. How are you liking your Style Maker fabrics? I bet they’re wonderful. One of my Fabric Mart boxes arrived! You’ll be seeing more fabric and patterns from me before the week is done!😄
Hi Vivmom. I LOVE my Style Maker fabrics and i am just finishing up my husband"s clothes. I never made men's wear before so it is a challenge and I had to watch many videos about sewing the front fly correctly. I don"t think I have the time to start a You Tube channel because my husband and I travel a lot. Any way, I can"t wait to see your next fabric haul and what you are going to make.
You are so inspiring, love to watch what you buy, and what it looks like afterwards,...... I ant to look at all my patterns and see what I can come up with. Looking at yours gives me joy to also sow , my times are limited. When I go to a fabric store I go nuts..... want to by all the nice fabrics but what do I make.....trick question....😉. 😂🌹❤️🌹❤️
You’ve stumbled onto one of the many joys of sewing, izabeau: deciding what to make with the fabric, and deciding which fabric to use for the patterns. I guess that’s two joys, and I love BOTH. Glad you’re feeling joyful about it! That’s fantastic.😄👍
Sometimes Walmart has 1$ a yard apparel fabric that is really great. I bought a few peices of double gauze for 1$ a yard and several peices of jersey. If you get there when the shipment comes in you can get a great haul.
each walmart has different fabric. I think they also buy lots from a distributor that is why from month to month they very rarely restock at least for apparel fabric. I am in the Midwest and june/July each year the area Wal-Mart's get a special shipment of $1 per yard apparel fabric. there are 4 stores all within a 30 minute drive that I hit up during that time and I got some great viscose, double gauze and heavy knits that have held up well over many washings. vivmom I love that navy viscose with the tiger print so nice for a flowey dress
Wow, Cynthia, I would make the rounds too if it meant $1/yard nice apparel fabric! That’s fantastic. I’ve never seen fabric priced that low in my Walmart, but like you say - they’re all different. Happy sewing!🌺
I love that purple fabric. I could see a pretty dress with it. Too bad you promised your son already. Maybe it's time to head back to Walmart and get another couple of yards. I want to say thank you Viv. You are so prolific that you inspired me (or shamed me) to finally sew a knit shirt that I cut out a year-and-a-half ago. I was never good with sewing knits but I actually did pretty well with it with my newer sewing machine. I really really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
Aw, Eloise, you’re a heart warmer.💕Thank you so much. And no shame!! It’s perfectly fine that your project waited a while. Good grief, women have a billion things to do every day. I’m happy to hear the top is a success. It’s really fun to nail a knit project in particular, maybe it’s the thrill of success when a neck band goes on and sits right!👍 Colin really wants a men’s bowling-style shirt out of the purple fabric. Seeing as I have ...umm... a ton or two of other fabrics standing by for myself, I’m okay with the purple fabric going to him.😂
Viv, Hello, glad to see you posted today, love your sense of humor!!! Pattern# 7408 is a good one, made it with a solid knit around the slit added grommets down each side! used printed knit fabric for the rest of the top and added 3/4 length sleeves; it's my favorite top. Do you remember a time when pattern pieces were interchangeable as long as you stayed with the same brand and size, loved putting my own little twist on the garment. Thanks for sharing!!! Judy
Oh that is so cool - well, many cool things in your post. First of all, your tunic sounds fabulous!!👍I’ve never worked with grommets. That is something I must try at some point. Second, I don’t think I’m remembering that about patterns being interchangeable - but it sounds great! Often I would like to put a different sleeve into something than what’s included, but I don’t want to fiddle with drafting my own and hoping it fits, etc. Why did they do away with that?! “Nothing gold can stay...”
A long time ago I loved putting my own twist on the clothing I was making. I would Change out the sleeve patterns or the shape of the garment And it worked as long as I stayed with the same brand. So if I was making a Simplicity dress but wanted a different style sleeve or neckline I would look through my Simplicity stash to see what I could come up with; this would work with McCalls and Butterick too as long as I used the same brand pieces I was changing out. Hey, I wanted to let you know Hobby Lobby is having a sale on Simplicity patterns, a $1.99 per pattern. I was so happy when I bought Simplicity 8268, that sucker would have normally have been $19.95!!! Judy
Ok I’m going to try this with similar, like-brand patterns. Because they are all drafted from the same block, so it would work, wouldn’t it? (that crashing sound is everything going completely wrong, lol.) No, I still think it would work. I’m not going to switch between wildly different styles. I’m going to try it sometime. Thanks for the HL sale tip. Someone better take my car keys away.
I don't shop at Walmart that much but when I do they don't have a big selection of fabric. I am thinking I might check out the other one in town to see if they do. You found a lot of great stuff! Hopefully the rest of your fabric arrived!
Hi Cherri, I can report that 1 box arrived and I loved everything in it. But Fabric Mart stuffs their mailing bags like sausages and this one popped; my black ponte knit was sticking out of one corner. Fortunately it was fine. I marvel at how they even pack it like that!!😂Yes, check out your other Walmart - call ahead to see if they have a sewing department. Treasures could be waiting. But you get so much great stuff @ thrift stores, who needs Walmart?!😄👍
Hahaha....you are too funny girl! ( hope I'm not flashing anyone!)😂😂 . Over here in Canada, we call those cold shoulders peek-boo sleeves. Oh, and the nighty top with sleeveless and ruffle across the top would look really cute! Go for it!
Thank you, Cindy!😄💕 I hope and pray all was above-board in the video, whew. I haven’t really sewn any peekaboo sleeves. They are cute and have been trendy for a long time! Thanks for liking the ruffle top idea for sleepwear. Hopefully I won’t look top heavy or ridiculous - but the beauty of pjs is that it doesn’t really matter!👍
The coral would make great trousers and love the corduroy. That circle fabric is fabulous - can't wait to see what you make with it. Love the colour of that taupe rayon spandex knit. Fab selection of patterns - so envious of your 99c pattern sales! Re the rayon v polyester, I think rayon is a 'natural' fibre (polyester being a petroleum by product) of but it's subject to more chemical processing so not as eco-friendly as, say, linen.
Thank you, Kathie, you cleared up the poly/rayon difference quite nicely.👍 I am so happy you enjoyed the fabrics - and that you like the circle print. (Ya know, the drapery material😂.) I definitely want pants from the coral, yes! I surely appreciate all your affirming thoughts!
Hi Ria👋! I understand that the circles/dots aren’t everyone’s cup of tea - nikonmother told me to leave it for a couch cover, which made me laugh. I have to do something with it and I’m thinking full skirt. The only problem with that is: what color top??🤔
You find the best deals or should I say, "steals!" I cannot wait to see what you make with the circle print and the one with stripes. That would intimidate me! When I look at fabric now I am going to try not to spend over 5 dollars a yard. After seeing what you buy, I know what is possible, and still look good! So thank you!
Listen, Jo Marie, I’m intimidated!!😬 I just don’t have innate skills with border prints, so I need to get it in gear. I do love the polka dot/animal fabric, and hope I can do it justice! The circle print is my favorite because it’s so unique - it is actually two fabrics fused together, like a double gauze, but moire. Wow, where’d that come from?! I was so happy to stumble into these, but honestly the fabric train needs to check into the station and stay parked for a good long while. (Well, until I road trip to Fabric Mart again in November.) Thanks for writing such an enjoyable post, and for all of your support and enthusiasm!👍
I don't get the negative view of Wal-Mart. I have found Waverly fabrics, great fleece, quilt cottons, etc. at good prices. They are without a doubt less expensive than other stores. I knit and buy yarn at prices that match Jo-ann with its coupons. Great for lining material too.
Walmart over Joann any day of the week! I didn’t want to get into a big discourse over the pros and cons of Walmart and I really do apologize if it started to go in that direction. I know it’s important to support small independent businesses, and Walmart has mowed down a lot of those - but, and I said this in the video - they have a sewing department!! I’ve got to love them for that. Apparel sewers are at the bottom of the heap, it seems, in terms of being served well in the retail market. (Or maybe I’m blabbing and not making much sense.) I really am grateful for Walmart’s fabrics. Ditto Fabric Mart - they have great sales. I’m happy you must live near a good-fabric-department Walmart!😃👍
Nice to see the McCall's patterns. I love Simplicity but they are no longer sold in Canada... Something to do with no longer wanting to print instructions in French as well as English. Walmart Canada no longer sells patterns or fabric, just notions, and I really miss having that. I have one fabric store in the area. Thanks for the great video!! ❤️
Wow, Ruby, I hope your one fabric store will stay! And what’s up with Simplicity pulling away from Canada?! It really is disappointing. I am definitely appreciating what we’ve got while we’ve got it.👍 Things can end quickly. You’re a dear to write and be enthused on my behalf; thank you!🌸💕
Great Walmart haul. My Walmart has only quilting cottons. Love the patterns. I’m going to look up the cardigan pattern. How do you organize your patterns? Your skirt and top are perfect. Looking forward to part 3.
Thanks, Carmen!😃 My pattern organization system is kind of ridiculous. It’s a little hard to explain but I will show it on the sewing room tour👍. Aw, you’re so sweet - giving me such nice compliments.🌸Part III is coming soon, I’ve received one of my Fabric Mart boxes! Yay!
New subscriber and fairly new sewer, I got that same magnolia pattern quilting cotton fabric from Walmart several months ago and made a peasant dress for a friend’s daughter. I LOVED it so much I got some more to make a dress for me! I think I’m going to copy you though and make a shirt with some detailing! 😊
Hi Kelly👋! Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here. When I saw the shirt fabric it reminded me of Japanese prints. I just thought it was so pretty with the pink and gray. How sweet that you sewed for a friend’s daughter!! That is a gift they will treasure. Walmart has dandy quilting cottons. I like to make sleep shorts for my guys with them. And little shift dresses do great out of cotton. Anyway, thanks for writing!😄🌸
I’am 70 now, but when my children were growing up I sewed a lot, and watching you brings back such good memories. God bless you.
Your videos are always so fun and really uplifting. I'm so enjoying binge watching them. I'll probably be up to date with them in a week 😂😂😂
You always have pretty fabric. I love your attitude. And you sew very nice. Keep going. Love the videos.
Finally found someone who loves fabric and sewing as much as I do!! Just binged watched all your videos....keep them coming!!!.
Yay! Welcome Kathy and happy you’re here!😄👍 There will be fabric...there will be patterns...there will be garments. These things I can promise. Oh yeah, and a lot of goofiness too, but I’m working on that.
❤️ your videos. Keep it coming. You inspire me.😄
love watching your videos!
Thanks Amy! This is great to hear!😄💕
I love your sense of humour, great fabric and patterns
They are indeed and hhmmm, holiday dress sounds good!
I love the text you insert. You are just too funny! Love your videos. The longer the better!
Deb in Phx
I love the large dots! I immediately thought of a trench coat type jacket if it heavy enough. Thanks for sharing with us.
Binge-watching this 3-part set. Headed over for part 3 now! Hugs! Peggy
I would buy more fabric at Walmart if you could get an employee to come to the station to cut for you. I enjoy your videos.
I love your videos and especially when you sew a garment and show us how it looks after you sew it. Your the best.
You’re the sweetest! Thanks Dora, ya know, it really means a lot to hear positive feedback. I appreciate it! Oh man, I’ve got some serious sewing to do. Deep breath.😄
I have only just discovered your youtube channel but I love your enthusiasm. I think it's great that you get your fabric so cheaply but here in NZ we're a bit more ripped off than most so....... show us the expensive stuff.......it makes us feel better :):)
I am originally from the UK (12 years ago) but only started sewing for myself 3 years ago and I am 52......should have started 25 years ago when my two girls were babies and I could have bought fabric a lot cheaper than now.
Yay!!😄🎉🎊
I watch all your videos your so fun fabrics patterns and so fun to find stuff at Walmart very awesome
Every once in awhile there is some nice fabric in my Wal Mart, but it is rare. Great haul. Oh , I love the border print.
Thanks Patti. I’m really wondering how best to use it. And yes - Walmart is inconsistent but I love them for having a sewing department!!😄👍
I'm inspired by your sense of purpose and confidence 👍👍👍
Thanks Diane! Oh, I love to sit around and deliberate, I’m right there with you. But the call of the sewing machine is a loud one.😄
It really is possible, Retia. Aw, thanks for the nice compliments!💕I have met such fantastic people here.
I think the circle print would be a great duster. You have convinced me to make a trip to Walmart :) tfs
Ok now , I can’t believe Wal-Mart had that delicious coral knit! Good haul !
I’m telling you girl, it was crazy!! Had to share it with everyone.😄
Wow! What a great haul! TFS! Love your style of vlog you seams to have fun all the time! Have a nice evening! Christine
Hi there
Me again, my sister and I started quilting together a few years back after being invited to a quilt camp.
Glad the patterns call to you...just glad overall that you’re here!👍
That’s my favorite color of corduroy! The stores showed it for men only, around Christmas. ( Sears)
Adding that lace to the sleeves of that top is a lovely idea. The fabric haul is great too.
Oh, thanks Trisha! How sweet of you to tell me.💕I’m happy you enjoyed the haul and I’m happy you’re here!😃👍
Great video!
Back in another video someone said she wasn’t feeling the pineapple print challis (much like my daughter) and I said, “ok, that’s fine, I’m still going to make it anyway.”😄😂 Always lovely to see you!🌸
You cheer me up and brighten my day! Thank you!
Well you’re most welcome, 3456253. You’re awfully nice to tell me so!😄💕
Wow!!
Hi Jo Anne, did anyone ever tell you you’re a sweetheart?😄💕 Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. I’m glad you’re here!
I get some fabric from wal mart, they have some nice fabric!!! I also get patterns from them to!!
You can find some great fabric finds at Wal-Mart sometimes. Love to see the big circles in a skirt. Going to check out my local Walmart👍
Come on by, Carmen. We love having you! 😉
Love your videos! You've inspired me to start sewing again.
I love hearing that, Leisa!🌸💕 Thank you for writing and making my day.
I have made the first pattern dress and the second the coat and they turn out ok. Love watching you.
Hi Sheila! Hey, you can see what I did with the big shiny polka dots in my February Makes, which I hope to have up next week. Thanks for letting me know about the successful patterns. It’s always good to hear when they work out, and of course any warnings to stay away are appreciated too! See you soon!😄💕
What great finds! I need to keep a closer eye on Hobby Lobby sales. Can’t wait to see what you sew next.💞
Hobby Lobby is a far drive for me, but I’m making it more and more often. I check the website for their sales. Last week all the Sewology notions were 50% off - time to take a drive!😄 Thanks, Connie! I have some serious sewing to do, don’t I?! Help!!!😄
I love the blouse that you are wearing! The color looks great on you.
Thanks, kathleen!😄💕
Ooooh Mc Calls7624 would look great in the big silver dots!!!!!
Omg you are so right, Wanda!! Now there’s even more to choose from! I think I had settled (sort of?) on a full skirt, but the color of a top was stopping me. With a dress the problem is solved BUT - is the giant print too much for head to toe? Will be mulling...😄
“I doubt that that’s fabric” 😂😂😂 I so love your videos 😉
Aw, thanks cristina! You’re a dear.😄💕
Like casual dress very much!
I've never checked out the fabric section in my Walmart. Just assumed there wasn't anything worth looking for. I love the drapery corduroy!
Cheers!😄👍
Loved all your purchases! Fantastic Walmart haul! You always make me smile, I love your enthusiasm😊
Thank you, Patricia! This was a Walmart haul for the record books. (Or, sewing books.) I couldn’t believe it. And all of this fabric was smushed into a back corner. Very strange! Then again, we’re talking about Walmart.🤣
@@vivmomsews4962 😂🤣😄😆
I am loving your video's.
Well you’re very sweet to tell me, Kristi. Thanks so much!🌸💕
Lots of great fabrics and patterns.
@@vivmomsews4962 ooh nooooo! Not a fail for McCall's. Well good luck with all of the other patterns.
Lol
Love your videos!! Keep up the fashion shows
We are all still learning. That’s the beauty of sewing. Stay the course!👍
I can’t wait to see your sewing room!!
Rayon is made from wood pulp and I LOVE the stuff. Have fun with everything.
I am leaning heavily toward a full skirt for the holidays, though it’d be nice if I actually had someplace to wear it.😄
I love your long videos!
Animal print..great Caftan.
Hi Vivmom, Rayon is made from cellulose, it's plant based. However the process employs some toxic chemicals so some think of it more as a synthetic fabric. I have a lot of rayon guilt. Love the stuff.
I love your channel, you are so fun to watch.l want to get back into sewing. Love the corduroy.
(And of course I really have no place to wear a fancy full skirt, minor detail.)
I say Walmart over Joann any day of the week, but I have one of the worst Joann’s ever.
That corduroy makes me so happy, Joy! I’m wishing you happy hunting in the fabric department. Report back if you come up with treasure!😄👍
Looking forward to the next vid! xo
Oh, and the "flashing" -- hahahaha!! Kinda like Basic Instinct?? You're soooo funny! You didn't show us anything dahling!
Why not?😄
Wonderful to watch!
😃💕😃
Dude. Colin is awesome.
Wow Regina, that’s fantastic. Any idea if their shipments come regularly? So, like, I can stand there waiting for the doors to open??😂
I dont know how often they get those shipments because I dont go to walmart as often as I use to.
each walmart has different fabric.
Seeing as I have ...umm... a ton or two of other fabrics standing by for myself, I’m okay with the purple fabric going to him.😂
You are so much fun to watch. I love all the patterns and fabric. I get a lot of inspiration from you. Thanks.
Hi Jeannette👋! Thank you for these lovely, uplifting words. You rock.💕
I absolutely love your videos!! I need to make a mad dash to my Walmart...hope I'm as lucky as you were!!
I wish you “happy dashing!” Seriously, Tracie, you are so sweet to write such nice things to me.😄💕Thank you! (But I really do wish you happy dashing.)
Nice fabric!!!
Oh I love you ! You are so honest about your editing skills-I’d be the same way ! Now I’ll go back to watching the video 😊
Wendy Price 💝🌸💝🌸
As always, your fabric hauls are very interesting, as are the patterns...!! I wonder what you will make of the silver circles fabric....!! 🌞
Fab vid as always, so funny!
Thanks Sue!!😄👍😄
