    Thanks for the Workmaster videos! I look forward to seeing videos on this tractor as well!

    Wow! I love your channel. I just bought a 2022 MF 4707 dyna 2. I only farm 18 acres and don't do tillage. So its size was perfect for me.I watched all the videos on the 4700 dyna 2 series tractor. Most good some bad due to clutch needing to calibration. I did have to do that on mine. It had 4hrs on and has about 8 now. Been using it a little. Its really cold here in NM. I love it so far. Looking forward to use it this coming alfalfa season. Allso looking foward to all the new MF 4710 video. Shout out to Dennis from DLH farms. He helped alot with my decision.

      Very nice! I’ve seen a few videos about the clutch recalibration. I’m sure mine will need it at some point. DLH is a great channel! Dennis really knows his stuff.

    I just bought a 2021 Workmaster 75 with a cab two weeks ago, and your videos are one of the reasons why. I looked heavily at the Massey 4707 and 4710, but there were none available for the foreseeable future at my closest dealer (three hours away). I really hope you enjoy the new machine, and fully understand why you went that rout. Congratulations, and thanks for all the WM75 videos. They've been a big help for me.

      @@CenTexAg Thanks Chris! Quick question for you. Did your Workmaster have a hard clutch in mid range when using the shuttle? Mine shifts into gear nice and smooth in high range, but really hard in mid range. Thanks!

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Low range was a little jerky when using the shuttle. But mid and high were smooth. I don’t recall any capable adjustment either other than the cable it self. Shoot me an email and I can send you the service manual for it. It’s in pdf. You migh find some info in it

    We looked at the massey, just wasnt a good fit for us. For me the tractor doesn't feel comfortable to operate. Didnt like the line of sight for hooking up attachments and for loader work nothing beats the high vis panels that new holland and deere offer. That massey is a sharp tractor tho and does have nice options. Availability for tractors does suck right now but we just welcomed our workmaster 120 December 30. We put 1400 pounds of fluid in the rear. Also i wanted the option of 1000 pto because were planning on moving from a 9ft discbine to a 12ft. and most are set up for 1000 pto. Good luck with the massey i plan to check in! Ill be doing some video on my NH 120 here soon

    Great choice! I own a 4707 with the 12x12 transmission and I almost ordered one just like the one you got, but I found one with only 300hrs for about $16k less, so it was a hard deal to pass up. I have also added a power adder that added another 20 horsepower, so 94hp now. They are a tough built tractor with extremely strong hydraulics! I have the 3 weights on each wheel, but it wasn’t enough to keep the rear tires on the ground at times, lol. The tires on mine are loaded now, and I think it actually rides better now. You won’t be sorry you got the 4710, and congrats on the new unit!

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s good to know the loaded tires didn’t worsen the ride. I’m curious what brand power adder you used and if it disabled the “you know what” system

    I can certainly understand upgrading to a larger tractor. I'd like to upgrade from my little JD at some point but want to make sure I get something that I won't outgrow too quickly. I don't see many Masseys around here because it's mainly JD dealers near us. I don't know too much about really any of their models mechanically but I do like the features I've seen thus far (especially on this particular one). Looking forward to seeing more on the new tractor. That bright red will stick out nicely in thumbnails. Lol. Keep up the great work and great content! God bless - Everett

    I watched all of your New Holland video's last year and decided I needed to upgrade to something more comfortable and with more power. Because of your video's I shopped New Holland but the price for the features just didn't add up. We have always been a Massey Ferguson family and I guess we always will because I bought the exact same tractor you just bought. I love my 4710! I took delivery of it the last week of September and got to finish bush hog season with it. I mostly only do bush hog work with mine and the Dyna 2 is perfect for it. I never dreamed I would use that gear split like I do. You will love that brake to neutral feature for bailing. I hope to start seeing more Massey dealers pop up because my dealer is a couple hours away as well. My only complaint with the tractor so far is the weld in fittings on the loader cylinders. They need to step up their game and put threaded fittings in those cylinders. I have had an issue with one since day one and my dealer is absolutely horrible so I am still trying to get that sorted out. I can't wait to see the video's you are surely going to grace us with in the future with the new tractor. Go ahead and replace the speakers with some nicer aftermarket ones if you like to listen to the radio at all while you work.

    Congrats on the new unit .I should have looked at massey .I just took delivery on a workmaster 75 2mo ago .I love the tractor but, It was very cold today in newyork state and the trans/hyd system froze up nothing works i am very mad. I use it in winter for my firewood operation talked to dealer aftyer watching your video and finding out about the problems others had in cold climates they wont help i am a mechanic buy after spending on a new unit its very upsetting !And to add insult to injury the hyd filters are on national back order so ordered from napa thanx for the numbers if this acts up any more ,it will go down the road !

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear another cold weather problem. It was a great tractor for me but im obviously in a different climate. Someone commented awhile ago that lives in upstate New York and they put some kind of magnetic heater at the bottom of the trans/diff to keep the fluid some what warm. Hate to hear the dealer can’t help you but there has to be a hydraulic fluid that can handle the cold weather.

    Well definitely disappointed to see the workmaster go. Your videos were definitely a very important deciding factor when I purchased mine. I definitely understand the need to upgrade to more power. That’s why I sold my 40 hp kubota and went to the workmaster 75. The old kubota was taking a beating on the new farm. Enjoy the Massey, my first tractor was a Massey and I loved. Still wish I had it.

      Sorry to disappoint. The Workmaster is a great tractor! If my operation was large enough to afford two tractors I would have kept the Workmaster and If the higher hp Workmasters offered the 24x24 I would have been all over one. Thanks for watching

    I had a feeling it was going to be a MF! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, especially when you get that extra power out in front of that baler. I essentially did the same thing. I had the Powerstar 75 but I needed more power, especially for baling my hilly terrain. I found a 2006 Kubota M105s down south of Waco in January of 2021. It made all the difference pulling the baler and cutter! Congratulations on the new ride I can’t wait to see some of your perspectives on it!

  • @bobhorner8271
    @bobhorner8271 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nicely done Chris.
    My baling tractor has a 12 speed transmission, its a New Holland Powerstar. I've been wanting either at 24x24 transmission or a CVT for a while now. That speed flexibility of more gears is absolutely critical for a hay operation. For example, with my current rig if I'm baling in 2nd range 2nd gear 1800 rpm, that translates to a ground speed of 2.5mph. If hay conditions are light and warrant more ground speed, my only choice is to move up to 3rd gear, which translates to 4mph! That's 50% faster, and usually waaay too fast. Ohhhh, to have a couple more gears in between those two speeds. Of course New Holland does offer a 24x24 transmission, but finding one is impossible in right now.
    I'm sure you're going to love the new tractor, its increased weight and horsepower will make everything you do now easier.

    • @CenTexAg
      @CenTexAg  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What you described is exactly why I was after the 24x24. I could not find any New Holland’s either with 24x24 around me let alone in my budget. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Massey so we will see. Thanks for the comment

    • @DennysCountryLife
      @DennysCountryLife 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      50% faster would be 5mph. I agree that a 24 speed is better (just sold one to buy my new WM75). I know I'm going to miss the 24 gears. You can always increase or decrease your rpm a bit to compensate for windrow thickness/ground speed. For me it's more important to consider flake size, rather than how fast I can bale.

    My Workmaster 75 really is overloaded with a 12 foot shredder. I am really wishing I had looked at a Massey 4710 now. However Agco dealers are few and far between in Illinois. Plus the poor resale value of a Massey.
