i havent played this game for 5+ yrs now but i remember when Lucid and Will just came out, i was a end game dual blade with 30k luk in reboot and we needed a stacked party, how are you only 26k and able to solo it? has the game gotten easier?
Ok, so the short answer is "power creep" but an interesting question deserves a detailed answer so brace yourself. * class balancing - you said that you quitted 5+ years ago. around that time 5th job was a relatively new thing and we had, like, 2 class-specific V skills? since then, we got new skills, there were numerous job balancing where many classes got buffed/remastered to fit the modern playstyle. AND I'm not even mentioning 6th job, which made every 260+ player much stronger than before. (I believe that when I reach level 260 and unlock 6th job I can solo even hard Lotus with all 6th skills being just at level 1) * new sources of dmg - new systems that have been added into the game like Legion Artifact (a system that replaced the reg server-exclusive Monster Life) * equips being more available - this might be written from a reg server perspective, but 5-6 years ago Arcane gears were considered luxury where every CLEAN piece was sold for 20-30b because bosses like Lucid and Will were end game. as those bosses became more accessible, the equips became more widely available. I'm probably stronger than the average 26k STR because I have 17* Arcanes, and because I play at reg server I can buy/make them on my main char and xfer them into my mules. there are probably more points but you can't expect a game to stay the same for so many years XD. if you wanna take a look on my channel you can see that myself - around the time I soloed Normal Lucid and Will on my main (4 years ago) I was at around 40K STR. Not to mention those guys who were the first to solo clear stronger bosses like Black Mage, who were probably 90K stat (before 6th job was a thing and even before 5th job was a complete thing), and a couple of years later it became soloable at much lower stat .
@@CHAOSDixieMan appreciate the explanation, yea 5 yrs ago 2nd 5th job skill just came out and i didn’t even have the arcane wep cuz it actually took so long to grind for the droplets (that was the main reason i stopped playing). Sitting in a kish’d map for hours with full drop gear/drop buffs just to average 1-3 droplets and hour. I think we needed 240 droplets or sumthin for the weapon. Anyways i’ve always been curious of returning to the game.
@@UncodemodeI started playing Maplestory this year April and currently have 5 set arcane due to most of the event shops selling droplets. The progression has been very streamlined to get the player to 6th job asap also now is a good time to get back because we have 2 hyperburns js
