Just a quick comment to say thanks for the tips! The cancel method worked well, but just a note to people, the item must be in your #1 slot! I was trying to use an item with #3, and it wouldn't work until I moved it into #1. I now have a nicely boarded attic, thanks!
I toured your plot yesterday, and I love these stairs. I haven’t gotten around to using the Industrial shelves as steps, but it’s one of my favourite designs.
I love how you used the cancellation method to fill the gap in the end with one click and also closed the little gap by the staircase. Don’t like the look of the staircase so much but it’s so much easier than your first staircase which almost drove me nuts. 😅😂
It's definitely a look that some may not like, or be going for. Personally, it's the staircase I settled on because I do like it, but mostly because it uses the fewest items, and I'm already at my item limit.
@@coadredalert The item limit is a pain in the a** so I totally get it. 😅 And I like the staircase in general but I might give it a try with a different shelve to see if I will like the look better. But I also wanted to let you know that your tutorials were and are a total game changer for me. I tried glitching before but just never understood what was done and some tutorials were so long with unnecessary content. But your tutorials are always on point, very well explained and so much easier to follow than some others I watched before. So please keep going with enlightening me and others with your awesome videos. 😊
thank you for this tutorial! i tried the one with pillars and board planks and i about tore my hair out, this one is MUCH easier for my little brain to handle :D
At 11:58 how did you "pull" away that row of wood floors. I'm stuck at that part. Nice video and thank you for sharing. Edit: I understand the problem I was having and this goes out for anyone else that watches this video and encounters the same problem. When you place the wood floors on the ground outside it matters where your cursor is when you click to place it. Like in the video let's say you're placing the floors right to left. You place the first floor. Now you move to place the second floor. If the cursor is to the left of the first floor - touching grass in other words- the two floors won't be connected (you can only move them independently). If you place the second floor and the cursor is to the right- over the first(previous) floor- then they will be connected(one click and you can move all of them). I hope this makes sense. I've tested this multiple times and it works.
thank you so much for your tutorials!! idk if anyone else is experiencing this issue, but I can't put down the planks without having it snap to the last one placed, thus resulting in the planks stacking up ;3; so I'm unable to break up the planks (10:00) and can only have them connected :/
I'm on steam deck and it may not work but I'm going to try both of these and see which one will work😅I'll come back for updates Update: I was able to do the staircases but again the flooring with the center wood piece under the window on both sides won't let me connect and I can't figure out how you did it. I don't know if I'm missing a step or something, I even tried slowing down the video😅😓I can't remember how I did it on switch tbh but I somehow got it so I know I can, I'm just trying to remember how I did it last year
I got all the other steps done... but the last bit just does not want to work for me...not sure what I am doing wrong lol the row of 7 don't wanna separate together
I found that putting them on the floor doesn't connect them well. I would suggest finding a wall and connect them there, and then you can move them to the ground and do the cancel method. it worked for me.
If I have my numbers (1,2,3 etc) set to access my tools quicker, this won't work then for cancelling because If i select 1, my axe is accessed. I would have to deactivate those in order for cancellation to work?
Ok, I can't get past hitting my head on the beam to complete the staircase and I can't move on. How am I suppose to climb the stairs if I keep hitting my head? I've set my first stair at the same distance from the wall that you did. Please help??? What am I doing wrong?
The cancel item thing to place the first two squares of the floor is frying my brain! The attic is the one thing I have seen that impressed me that I really want but Im starting to give up as it's too annoying.
"Everything I do is PC centric, so you won't be able to reproduce everything I do **on Switch**" is what I should have said.
Much much better video than the first iteration, deserves twice as many likes. Great and informative video!^.^

TYSM for this! Mine was nearly perfect on a Harvest House but I couldn't close the gap around the door and then I got to see your tutorial.
I love the trick you used to get the final flooring pieces in, as well as the shelf it created outside! Nice!
I did these type of stairs a few weeks ago for my attic and its sooo much easier imo for attics, and less trouble! great video!

Ohhhhh you saved my sanity, this was much better and I was able to finish it, THANK YOU ☺️

Left click.
Thank you so much for this update!! I cant wait to try it!
Is there any way you could end up doing like a switch friendly video for the attic eventually? Sorry to bother, I just wanted to ask😅
My computer comes in Friday. I need it now!
awesome! i was looking for alternatives and this is just what i need
amazing, fixes all the issues i had with the first build i did
great tutorial, thank you so much! i just built this in my house.
Awesome stuff! Thank You!!
Thank you so much for this video!

yeah the only way to avoid it is to weave it but he said not to do that so im vonfused

I followed your instructions but the shelf wont go on the floor. Any Suggestions?
This rocks!

i have the same issue

I think the cancellation method is not working anymore, isn't it?

OMG I cannot count! I figured it out.... I'll just go hide now, however, the whole cancelation thing has me baffled.
How do you do the cancelation method on a switch?
not possible.
The cancel item thing to place the first two squares of the floor is frying my brain! The attic is the one thing I have seen that impressed me that I really want but Im starting to give up as it's too annoying.
you have to make it weaving as one stack tho there is no other way to randomly do it
My floor boards won’t go on the beams
Does it just not let you group select on the switch?
I believe group select works on Switch, but I don't play on Switch to know exactly how.
@jatiecupcakes95 left trigger will group select on switch but his method doesn't work with the canceling I don't think k
