Comer says that only those baptized into Christ can approach God in prayer. This is a truth from scripture. So why does Comer go to Mother Teresa and Thomas Keating to teach on prayer? Mother Teresa thought that Mary was the way to God. Thomas Keating taught that all religions led to God. Comer is taking a truth of scripture and then going outside of scripture to false teachers to expound on the truth.
Jesus is revealed to us in scripture. Stay in scripture and meditate on the truths in scripture. Going outside of scripture for truth will only open you up to doctrines of demons. Guard your heart. It is deceitful.
At the end Comer has to explain how to do an ancient type of prayer called a breath prayer. If someone has to teach you a method of prayer and can't use scripture to do it, then that is a good indication it should be avoided.
