Praise GOD for who HE is. This sermon seems to usher in His peace.

This video did everything right! A great lesson on prayer, and then for the online viewer, sets you up to get LOST in prayer afterward. I spent 30+ minutes in prayer after this video was over because there was no next video or distraction, it just stopped. Thank you thank you thank you whoever does the Vintage Church in LA videos, JMC has been one of my favorites for a long time, but your notes over his sermon on the screen and the way you structure the video to keep the online viewer in focus. You're doing GREAT Godly work. Please keep it up.

This is what I have been yearning for. To pray out of joy and need to be close to the Father. Thank you John Mark.

This is beautiful. How you speak of your mother and watching her as a child. I want to be that for my boys. They are always watching.

So you feel him too. To describe it, it's like feeling something hovering over me. At times it feel like your Husband looking over your shoulder. You feel Jesus. At times I see him.

Bring your bible, since half the Lord's prayer is left out of the one that was read...
    What version leaves out...
    "OUR" Father
    "Who art in heaven"
    "Your will be done"
"But deliver us from the evil one"
    ????????????????

@KK-fz9kt Good question, I have wondered that myself.
That version is recorded in Matthew 6:9-13. KJ Bible uses the same verses from Matthew in Luke. We have no original manuscripts that demonstrate this. This was an addition in Luke added by the King James translators. These prayers were said at different times in Jesus’ life. Matthew during his sermon in the mount and Luke after he prayed and his disciples asked him how to pray. It’s not a contradiction because they happened at different times. Jesus provides a template of how to pray. We don’t have to pray exactly this prayer and only this prayer. He demonstrated how to pray to a large group and demonstrated how to pray to his disciples.

I think the point of the Lord's prayer is to FOCUS our hearts and minds on our RELATIONSHIP to God through Jesus. His first words are "OUR Father"". We can only call God "Father" if we have been born again by accepting God's son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. We have no righteousness of our own to come before God, we come before God IN JESUS NAME. So the Focus is on RELATIONSHIP. OUR FATHER. 🙌✝️🙌♥️🙏

While much of what you say is correct, you have a low view of scripture when you teach that other ways to pray or equivalent to praying scripture or doctrinal prayers from the scriptures. I would recommend you rethink that as you as teacher are held to a stricter standard by our Lord. There’s a short book on prayer I would recommend to you. “A call to Prayer “ by JC Ryle and Anglican Bishop from 1800’s Prayer is first and foremost missional Isaiah 56:7
