Happy belated birthday Sir. I appreciate you and your lessons. Paul walked in the Great Commission that Jesus asked all Christians to do. He spoke the gospel. It’s up to you to accept or reject it. I focused on his holy boldness. You have to be bold in your faith. He stood up for what he believed, he shared the gospel freely, and was bold in his holiness. That’s how us Christians should be. We cannot be ashamed of the gospel as Romans 1:16 tells us. Good lesson.

Paul had his attention with the truth....I do believe Paul almost had persuaded him. My opinion he did not answer the question that Paul had ask and answer to him. Because he knew and felt something different. It had to be the words that was coming out of Paul's mouth. No! It was the word of God coming out of Paul's mouth. This is why we have to speak the truth. Read and study our Bible so we will know the truth. This lesson here.....my God....my God. I hear you!

I am excited about this lesson Dr. Jones. I have been reading Acts Chapter 19-26 just to get a feel of Paul's life as a missionary and what lead to the appearance before King Aggripa. Very interesting stuff. Also very compelling! As always thank you sir for your commentary 🙏🏽

I think King Agrippa II said what he said because of the people in the atmosphere (the Jews). He didn’t want to make them mad by agreeing with Paul. When he got away from everyone with Bernice and Festus, he said the truth that was in his heart

PTL Pastor, Dr. Rodney Jones. In response to your question as to if there was a relationship between Herod and Esau, Yes…King Herod came from Esau's linage. Herod Antipas was an Idumean and a half Jew. His father, Herod the Great was an Idumean and his mother was a Nabatean Arab. He, Herod the 2nd son of Antipater, an Idumaean, was born in Idumea, south of Judea.

Acts 2:38 was a formula for the believer. The church began then. Matthew 28:19 states be baptized in the name "of" the father son and Holy Spirit. Acts2:38 confirms its Jesus Christ name. This is correct baptism to say its not is wrong. I honestly want to hear what you can come up with, as the scripture is true and that settles it. The eyes of church eyes be opened in Jesus name. Amen

Blessings to you, if you read who Peter was addressing in acts and what the word “in” means in both Acts 2:38 and Matthew 28 you will see the difference

I think King Agrippa believed Paul but he didn't want the others to know that because it might tarnish his reputation. In the words of Les Brown some politicians ask themselves is it popular?

  • @janetfields5549

  • @karenleader5537

Pastor, Dr. Rodney Jones, in response to your question: Was King Agrippa mocking Paul or was he truly asking Paul a question or was he almost persuaded? I don’t think it was any of them. Another idea could be that when he says “almost…be a Christian” he could have been saying, Now looka her Paul, I have knowledge of what you’re saying. You know from what I’ve been told about my great grandpa and grandpa, you preaching to the choir. I know about Jesus cause my great grandpa tried to kill Him and although I couldn’t stomach what my grandpa did…having the head of John the Baptist taken off….man…I know about sin, after all, I’m half Jewish. I also know that sin violates the laws of God. And don’t get me wrong, I even know that there are consequences….however…you ain’t getting no true repentance outta me”. Like I already said, “I heard the family stories about Jesus and His salvation, and forgiveness but I ain’t there yet. I ain’t ready to accept His salvation and His pardon.” I back this up because in the next verse (vs. 32). He’s included in the next conversation with…”Hey y’all, this man, Paul ain’t done nothing so wrong that he should be put to death”.
My question to you is in the 32 verse..why does he say that Paul would have been set free had he not appealed unto Caesar.
