This is the only video I was able to find that showed what the 301 dorms looked like haha thanks so much for posting! Do you happen to know anyone who lives in a single room at 301 and if the size of the room is considerably smaller than a double?

hmm, you can always talk to the people posting on the Facebook/insta group! it's really nice to have someone familiar when you already arrive to nyc. Otherwise just be yourself and don't be afraid to approach people, everyone is also looking to make friends too:)
hmm well I liked my double, it's pretty big but that might be because I was in a 6ppl suite. a triple is just a tadd bit bigger than a double from what i've seen but i do think it's cheaper than a double
