I got a sample of Sultan Vetiver about 2 weeks ago, at first, I found it quite medicinal, very middle-eastern and just plain "weird ". The more times I'd spray some on my wrist on different occasions, the more and more I came to really appreciate and like it. It changes so very much during the wear, and most (designer) fragrances just dont offer that experience. After having collected so many frags, Im really looking for uniqueness and performance, and of-course BEAUTY! I feel Sultan Vetiver offers all these traits. I'm planning on giving it a full wear tomorrow, and if it behaves like I think it will, it will be my first "niche" fragrance purchase. Awesome review señor 😊
I bought this perfume last year. At first I was not at all satisfied with its performance and thought that it had undergone a drastic reformulation that castrated it from the performances claimed by other users. But after a year the performance has improved and now I'm satisfied even though it's not quite the beastmode that some claim it to be. It's , damph vetiver like a sort of basement smell or like an old moldy wooden cabinet, brighted up by a soapy neroli and sweeted up a little bit by a honey acord. It doesn't contain honey in the official list of ingredients but it has tonka and that's probably where the honey accord comes from in combination with other notes. Very interesting perfume, versatile, can be used all year round , in all seasons.
Thanks for the review and bringing it to the community's attention. I love it. Trevor at TZ Fragrance first turned me on to it and I agree, it's amazing!
