I am Japanese. If you return to Tokyo, be sure to visit Tokyo Station Marunouchi Station Plaza and the Imperial Palace. It's a wonderful place with a mix of modern and contemporary. Also, if you want to enjoy cherry blossoms, Ueno Onshi Park and the Meguro River's cherry blossom trees are recommended.❤😊😊
On the east side of Kyoto, the Philosopher's Path, which leads from Ginkakuji Temple to Nanzenji Temple, is less crowded and allows you to enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto at a leisurely pace. Especially, the atmosphere around Nanzenji Temple is very calm and typical of Kyoto.
I'm glad to see people enjoying themselves in various places. 😊 In Japan, cars drive on the left side of the road, so it's safer to get into a taxi from the left side. And the door opens automatically👍 Melon bread seems to be a favorite of yours😂
Wow, stunning and so peaceful !! My list is getting so long. This video felt magical being in such a beautiful location. I'm understand better now why so many people rave about Kyoto. Keep up the great content.
I am Japanese.🇯🇵👦🏻 Spring in Kyoto is the busiest time of the year, so we recommend renting a bicycle 🚲✨🌸 Stay at a hotel near the Kamogawa River, and the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 3km away, so it's fun to cycle around and see the cherry blossoms and temples♪ Arashiyama is a little far away, so I don't recommend renting a bicycle. Let's go by train or bus another day👍
"Embarking on a journey through Kyoto is like stepping into a living canvas, where the strokes of tradition and nature blend seamlessly. From the majestic temples to the serene bamboo forests, each corner whispers tales of ancient charm and timeless elegance. And if you're lucky, you might even stumble upon a group of mischievous monkeys plotting their next adventure amidst the tranquility. So, grab your camera and your sense of wonder, because Kyoto promises to paint your memories with hues of beauty, laughter, and a dash of whimsy!" Thank you Zane❤
When you get back to Tokyo, try getting on a cab at least once! Most of the taxis in Tokyo automatically opens the door for you. It's quite interesting
Thanks Zane Travel My regular walking area🚶♂ during the cherry blossom season is from Keihan Demachiyanagi to Philosopher's Path, Ginkaku-ji, Nanzen-ji, and Suirokaku via Chion-in to Keihan Sanjo
37:45 You can tell whether it's temple or shrine by looking at the entrance. There is a Torii gate at the entrance of any shrine, but no gate at a temple at all.
if you're going back to Tokyo and haven't visited the Imperial Palace yet, you should see if you can make a booking for the gardens. They have tours that go through the inner palace gardens, but you need to book in advance to receive permission, and it can be some time.
If you have an affinity for spiritual concepts, I recommend that you investigate "Abe no Seimei". You may feel that Kyoto has not only visible buildings, but also another world.
My ancester is from Kyoto and it's nice to see the video. I'd say you'd need a whole month to explore Kyoto. You may enjoy "Uzumasa eigamura (Toei Kyoto Studio Park) while you are there. Have you heard The Japanese-(ancient)Jewish common ancestry theory (Japanese was one of the 10 lost tribes of ancient Jewish)? You will see some symbols (ex. hexagrams) in some old shrines in Japan. I recommend that you visit Kyoto to see Gion Matsuri Festival (7/1-7/31 2024) of Yasaka Shrine (Kyoto), also visit Onbashira Fesitival of Suwa-Taisha (Nagano prefecture) and Ise Grand Shrine (Mie prefecture) to name a few.
You have to understand that places like Thailand, Vietnam, Japan etc in Asia are FULL of highly proficient cooks that have the highest standards for quality. They can cook pretty much ANY cuisine in the world because they understand the technical process of cooking. That's why food in Asia typically very good, no matter what type of cuisine it is.
Hi Zane. I'm gonna be in Kyoto in a few weeks. What do you think about the crowds on weekends vs weekdays? Not just for the popular spots like Gion, but other stuff like Philosopher's Path. Is there a big difference? Trying to plan for my visit. Thanks
what time of day and what month is it when you went to philosopher's path and the surrounding temples? looks like you got to experience so much of it without crowds
idk about kyoto anymore. I went there in 2015 and it was great. But I feel it's the kinda place you go to once then never again. It's beautiful, but it's also massively over touristed. I don't wanna be nuts to butts with all the other tourists, I wanna have some space.
And p;ease come a River Sumida-ku and Asakusa Cheryyblosam. Famous place from Edo time. And please attention. These choice were Tourists choice. When you wait a Railroad Crossing, Please must keep a road for Cars too. Cars need more time for passing, Japanese don't spread outside road for walking. Don't Walkers enter in CarRoad. You see only front of you. Walkers are only walker, keep waiting to use in longline, Must respect cars road for home town people, Please see back too. (Did you listen some japanese uncommon car horns?)

I love your walks through Japan, the country seems spectacular to me, and the food and drinks seem delicious!
The train part was really fun😸👍
Wow, stunning and so peaceful !! My list is getting so long. This video felt magical being in such a beautiful location. I'm understand better now why so many people rave about Kyoto. Keep up the great content.
Don’t remember philosophers path being this busy.

The world we live in is so beautiful. I pray that all life can live in peace✌ ❤☮🧩
Red ⛩ and Guardian protect us But we humans need to protect trains with circuit breakers. why? Kyoto is supposed to be beautiful?

I'm a new subscriber and I'm in love 💕 with your Japan vlogs. They are my favorite. Japan is so beautiful ❤🎉.
Wow! Kyoto looks so beautiful. I really need to get to Kyoto at some point to experience all of that.
Really enjoying the Japan series! I visited for the first time in May 2023 and I really want to go back
We say even one month won't be enough to experience the beauty, history and culture of KYOTO. So come again and again!
When you get back to Tokyo, try getting on a cab at least once! Most of the taxis in Tokyo automatically opens the door for you. It's quite interesting
哲学の道、もう少し経つと桜が満開ですね🌸私も来週、京都と奈良に行きます。有益な情報をありがとう😊

Thanks for another great video and Happy Easter from NY
Wow there is super packed.
Thanks Zane. I looked for you in Kyoto today but no luck. Oh my god the crowds.

Cheesesteak in kyoto? Who would've thought. Crazy how everything in Japan is just so damn good.

Love Kyoto! I was there back in February on a day trip, definitely need to spend more time there next time.
Greetings from Chicago Illinois!! Love your videos ❤
31:35 that is the scariest sound I’ve heard for crossing a street
killing it as always

I feel like I shouldn't be watching this this early >_> You're pumping out the videos man, it's great.

I logged into TH-cam for the first time to like this video so I can remember to go to that Bougatei craft shop ser
I really recommend you to visit Kawagoe, it's not that far away from Tokyo. It's beautiful
Wow😮❤

lol, the guy that jumped the tracks might have been the smart one of the group!

It would be cool to see you visit South Korea again :)
haha hope you had fun in kyoto
You know you don't have to open the taxi doors and it's preferred you don't just walk to the sidewalk and they open it electronically
cherry blossoms will go full bloom in a week just wait
Way to represent Philly!!
Ping ping ping sound 😂😂😂
what time of day and what month is it when you went to philosopher's path and the surrounding temples? looks like you got to experience so much of it without crowds
what was the best 2 temples or shrines you visited in kyoto
👍💖💖👍
They are baked sweet potatoes not yams. They're really good.
The guy who ran the light should get fined.
Daily Japanese tip 9: to say sorry in Japanese say suimasen. Su as in soup, mi as in measly, ma as in mart, se as in sunset; n as in nn.
That beef bun looks stingy on the filling. 😅
When did you visit? We are going in Jan 2025
Don’t open the taxi door yourself, the driver opens and closes the door.
dang it pains me to see so many foreigners roaming around☹
Isn't it a no-no to touch a cab? The doors are automatic open/close. Fear of germs.
I thought that, too. Any cab I ever took in Japan had automatic doors that were controlled by the driver for that very reason.
idk about kyoto anymore. I went there in 2015 and it was great. But I feel it's the kinda place you go to once then never again. It's beautiful, but it's also massively over touristed. I don't wanna be nuts to butts with all the other tourists, I wanna have some space.
Appreciate how beautiful and cultural this side of Japan is, thanks for not featuring Kyoto.
And p;ease come a River Sumida-ku and Asakusa Cheryyblosam.

And Japan is supposed to be running out of Japanese people?
You need to be more adventurous in your diet.
Why did you have the train beeping going for 5 min? We didn’t need to endure that pain with you.
Calm down. It wasn't that bad

please. Speak a little slowly so that I can understand you. I don't understand you very much. Thank you
