This one was one of the closest battles in the competition imo. I think if the mixing/mastering on Heartzel's track would've been a little more studio quality given the opportunity to do so, it would've been much closer. The little call out of "Sound Familiar?" was Heartzel slipping really common Hiss combos into his track throughout this entire round. Did some sneaky little like inside the mouth TK's like Hiss did in his first round and some other common Hiss sounds. If I remember the judging, neither of them got a battle point because Sxin and Chezame didn't feel like their imitations of each other were strong enough to be worth the point. They only awarded battle points in a few rounds in the whole competition at the end of the day.
On some real shit, I really love seeing you learn more about the current scene as you go. There's a lot of catching up to do and I'd love to see how you react to some of the circle jams out there and the other beatbox content out there, but seeing your journey through the BBU competition is amazing and would love to see it completed! Especially HISStory by Den and Hiss' response
4:39 he was in gbb in 21’ but he didn’t pass the eliminations, was near last too 😭 (but tbf he kinda got there due to some complication with Helium and his passport, so heartzel was supposed to just be watching gbb but he got substituted in last day)
Your beatboxing bits throughout the video are actually really good and fun to listen to. You have really good fundamentals. The reactions are super nice to watch, thank you for making these videos.
Heartzel did in fact participate in GBB but didn't get past the elimination round. Hiss however did manage to get past the elimination round, but Hiss is definitely more entitled to the term GBB Level as he got into the GBB21 despite losing against River in the Top16 battles but he also managed to get 3rd place in 2018 (Lost to Dlow in semi finals but won against Bataco for 3rd place in the small final) and even 2nd place in 2017 (Won against Alexinho but lost to Napom in Finals).
A little late to the party but this was one of those rounds that despite Hiss' technical ability and musical ability, I had Heartzel. If I were a judge I would've voted for him because the track just stood out more to me and was a nice change of pace from his typical stuff. Not only that but Hiss lost a lot of points for me with a pretty rough counter against Heartzel. If you're gonna do a counter, it needs to at least be almost as good as the person you're countering but Hiss and Heartzel are worlds apart on Heartzel's style.
