LAMAI BEACH Night Market in Koh Samui - Sunday Night Thai Street Food Market

- It´s Sunday evening and we are at the Lamai Beach Sunday Night Market (Thai Street Food Market and non-food market) held every Sunday at Lamai Beach located on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. We invite you to join us on a no comments walking tour viewing the huge variety of Thai and international foods available to buy and eat from this very well worth a visit Thai Street Food Night Market, this is Thai Food at it´s best, at least from our (Maxi and Maro) touristy point of view.
The Lamai Beach Night Market is held every Sunday from 3 pm to 11 pm at Lamai Beach. If you are living at Lamai Beach you should be able to walk there or just take one of the local "Tuk Tuks". If you are unsure of the location just follow the other tourists walking along the road in one direction or ask one of the local Thai´s who will quickly point you in the right direction.
If you are living in Chaweng Beach or Bophut, the area where The Fishermans Village Night Market is held on Fridays, we suggest that you take a taxi or also a local "TukTuk" (Pickup) to Lamai Beach. Just tell the driver/s that you are going to the Lamai Beach Night Market. For tourists the taxi should cost 300 Baht from Chaweng Beach and Max 500 Baht from Bophut and the "TukTuk" price is around 100 Baht from Chaweng and you should be able to negotiate a similar price if you are coming from Bophut Beach. Don´t get to the Lamai Beach Night Market too late, as by the time we had finished filming around 9 pm and were ready to eat many of the delicious Thai Street Foods were already sold out or the vendors were packing up for the evening. Thai food and Thai Street Food lovers this is a night market not to be missed, be sure to visit this weekend market at least once when you are on holiday in Koh Samui, it is without any doubt one of Koh Samuis Top Attractions!
Lamai Beach is Koh Samuis second largest tourist resort area second only to Chaweng Beach and is also the islands second largest beach, also only second to the very popular Chaweng Beach which lies north of Lamai Beach. Lamai Beach is one of Koh samuis best beaches so whether you choose to live in Lamai Beach or not, when you visit Thailand, a day trip or excursion to Lamai Beach and its town are a very worthwhile trip to make. Lamai Beach is easily accessible by motorcycle, TukTuk, taxi or rented car from Chaweng Beach, Bophut are many of the other smaller tourist areas close by on the island.
WikiTravel writes about Lamai Beach, "The southern third of the beach has the widest strip of sand, is the best for swimming, and has the most nearby eating and drinking and shopping options. To the north, the water doesn't get deep enough for swimming until you're quite some distance out, and the further north you go, the narrower and quieter the beach becomes..."

Interesting to see the street foods market in Koh Samui rather than hotel restaurants lol. This is pretty much to see something different than the restaurants. My gf Nee bought me to the market and enjoyed eat Saap foods in North Thai. Bkk have street foods near to my father's condo but the govt will shutdown all street foods in Bkk streets. Well done Maxi and Maxo.
We always love to visit and eat at street food locations when in Asia! The Thais are so good at making /delicious and beautifully presented street foo, a real feast for the eyes and taste buds! We only have breakfast at hotels and then eat locally when in Thailand! Thanks for your kind comment and thanks for watching!

Amazing variety of foods. What were your favorites? Liked - great walking tour!
The foods were amazing, unfortunately we did not have much time to try much, because once we were finished filming and photographing, it was late and the best foods were sold out or the stalls were closing down. We did however enjoy the potato chips on a stick, some chicken livers, a big meat kebab, and a chicken kebab which was very good especially with a local Chang Beer! :-D Glad to hear that you enjoyed our tour of the Lamai Sunday Market!

Så jer på instagram på min instagramprofil samuitourist, og ville lige tjekke jeres Samui videoer ud :D Elsker Samui og har været der 11 gange. Er lige kommet hjem derfra, så nu kan jeg sidde og tjekke lidt af jeres Thailands videoer ud. Ser ud til i laver nogle gode videoer. Lamai er det sted vi har boet mest på Samui. Startede i Chaweng de 4 første år, men gik så over til andre byer, da Chaweng blev lidt for crowded gennem årenes løb. Er nu mere til Lamai, Chong Moen, Mae nam og Fisherman Village. Samui er fed på den måde at man kan få alle slags byer og strande. Du kan finde små strande hvor du næsten er alene, eller tage til Chaweng hvis du vil have mere gang i den. Det samme med byerne. Af gade markederne er Lamai's om søndagen det bedste, men Naenams om torsdagen er også fedt nok, og så selvfølgelig fishermans village om fredagen. Savner allerede Samui :)
