After a few more days of use, I wanted to add in: This machine is still great and I am very happy with it. The truth is, this is NOT a machine for someone who loves the art of espresso or is a coffee connoisseur. This machine is meant for your average coffee drinker who wants to be able to make cafe style drinks at home without the mess, learning curve, and time/money commitments of a fully manual set up.
I had a breville barista express, sold it because I hated the frother (took way too long) and hated the mess. Got a jura 4 years ago and although it’s great, the milk doesn’t get hot enough for my liking. Was thinking about downgrading to this machine. Still feeling good about it?
It’s incredible how many features this machine has. Even storage for everything you need close at hand. Ninja truly thought of everything
It's really great, I am super happy with it so far!
Great video man. I’m coming from a Breville Bambino that I’ve had for several years and it’s done me well. I only drink milk based espressos so am far from an espresso snob. Like you, I love the versatility with this with the cold brew and drip option. I’m becoming more sold on it as reviews slowly keep churning out!
Bambino owner here as well. I also do not profess to be a barista. But the luxe has a lot of features I would take advantage of. Being able to pour a regular cup of coffee is a plus. i am not very proficient at making lattes, so this machine is perfect for me.
@@wanderingaloudwithmark3057 this doesn't make a regular cup of coffee. True drip machines like my Mocamaster makes great coffee.
That video was awesome! Thanks for walking through the machine and making a few drinks as a normal person would. Thumbs Up! 👍
I’ve had mine for about a week. Very much enjoying it.
amazing review
and your first TH-cam video on this channel
well done
hope we'll hear (and see) more from you
appreciate this fantastic effort, very muc
the best to you... always

Nice video! Although just a note that you made a cappuccino at the end of your video, a flat white has much thinner (less aerated) foam. It should appear silky like wet paint with no visible bubbles.
Cappuccinos are still delicious though, I'm glad you're enjoying your new machine :)
Thanks for that! Still getting used to making them. Definitely a beginner over here.
Great machine. I'm just waiting on a machine that does rapid cold brew, drip coffee, espresso e.c.t like this but in a fully automatic one touch machine and with 19-22g of grounds per shot. Might be several years away from getting that but I'll wait 😂
I think they do exist, but for many thousands of dollars 🥲
@@jacobarmbrester I think they technically exist yeah but pretty sure theyre commercial machines that you cant just buy for home use
They exist...but you're going to pay dearly for it! OMG...like $3,000+ in some cases.
Mine is getting delivered tomorrow. Can’t wait! Also is that mortar and pestle from Costco? Look just like mine😂
Yes, haha! It was like $20, what a steal.
Will this coffee machine ever arrive in Italy?
Great review! Forgive my ignorance but aside from how it is brewed what is the difference between americano and drip coffee; of course I have tried both, but are they not essentially the same - particularly when using the same beans, machine etc - does the grind make that much of a difference?
Americano is generally more intense than a drip.
I currently have the ECAM 44.660.B - would this be a step up, down or sideways for an amateur coffee drinker, who enjoys all types of coffee
Looks like a lateral movement, you wouldn't get much benefit.
Great review & demonstration. Would you get rid of your pod machine & only use this one? I don't have one of these yet, but considering (but not sure) getting rid of my 2 Nespresso (Original & Vertuo), and a Lavazza. Well maybe I will keep my Nespresso Orginal, but I am trying to declutter plus I am in a small space. I like to change my beans every 3-4 drinks. Can the beans be changed out?
Yes I am getting rid of mine, also in a small space. & yes you can change beans, removing the hopper lets you fully empty any remaining beans.
You sound like me with 5 machines in the kitchen and 4 in the garage! Lol!
@@jacobarmbrester Well I finally decided to give a try & did receive it last week. I must say I am really enjoying this. Although I have 3 machines as I stated I am a person that is hard to get rid of certain things all because I work too hard to obtain it. Many of my things are kitchen gadgets & just have a hard time parting ways with any of it. I know it's necessary because of lack of space. I feel that this is a beautiful looking coffee / espresso machine. I do drink coffee but not everyday. Since I have had this I have had an iced cold pressed everyday this long weekend we have had (Labor Day). Instead on Monday I tried a Cold Brew this was strong, but the Cold Press was stronger. It knocked my socks off. I ended up putting a lot of my homemade Oat & Cashew milk in it. I topped every drink with a cold foam. Every drink I attempted to prepare was delicious, but gave me the jitters. I still loved it. I must say that all of the milk frothers I have in my possession this one by far make the best cold foam. There are two things that is a disappointment to me. One is that every time I get something (It doesn't matter what it may be) there is a better model always seems to come on the market with more features. The second one is that this machine has a lot of parts to wash. I am not someone who just rinses and goes. I may rinse just for the moment. Later in the day these things needs to see some soap & water at some point. That is my dislikable moments about this. I always wanted an espresso maker but seemed to be intimidated by it & just could not justify the cost of any of them. I find this to be expensive for my budget. In all it was worth it. I just know that Ninja is going to come out with an upgrade, they always do. I just hope I did not jump on the band wagon too soon.
How much bar of pressure for espresso ?
Supposed to be 9 bar
I thought the reservoir was a 2L or 68oz capacity??
Are those fresh beans your using? How are you liking it so far? Thanks
They were relatively fresh on the first fill up, about 3 weeks old locally roasted. The second fill up was not fresh, I ran out making so many drinks and had to get some box store coffee! So far I am liking it even more than when I uploaded the video!
@@jacobarmbrester Good to hear I am wanting to upgrade. I have a delonghi ecp 3630. I’m hoping I can get better steamed milk out of the ninja. Also the fresh beans are the ones with the best cream. Thanks
Can you put regular esspresso coffee instead of whole beans?
You have to use whole beans with this machine.
Hey there former barista! Espresso is actually not a type of bean. Any whole bean coffee can be used to make espresso! Espresso is the way the beans are a concentrated shot of the coffee. Espresso takes a particular kind of grind to pull a shot so you want to use whole beans. This machine has a grinder built in! So easy to use
Can you froth milk simultaneously while making hot cappuccino?
No, unfortunately you have to wait until the espresso is done brewing.
Dont think its available in the Netherlands
It's not in the UK either yet. I tried contacting Ninja USA and they didn't know, so I tried Ninja UK yesterday but no response yet. I assume it would hit the UK and Europe at the same time..
@@bridgetcrossman708 i asked Netherlands but they dont know when it will hit europe
@@Richard1976will be in Europe end of October
@@bridgetcrossman708 it's available to preorder at Curry's at the moment. £550. Delivered from 25.09.24
@@bridgetcrossman708 It's out in the UK on 25/09 but I would wait because they are bringing out a deluxe version a few months later
I would not call this drip coffee. My Moccamaster is a drip coffee maker!
You dont a need machine to make brewed coffee. Thats silly.
