Practice is like polishing a stone, or sanding Timber.
A gentle, relaxed repetition over time will smooth the stone, or the Timber.
Staying on one small section with a relaxed, slow repetition creates a smooth effortless technique.
You'd be surprised how smooth one can get practicing, 1, 2, or 3 notes in a gentle and relaxed way for a multiple of reps 5-20 or so.
It's the lack of reps, and lack of relaxed smooth gentleness that often becomes the stumbling block in learning the music or techniques we want.
This requires; patience, calm breathing, slow practice, relaxed muscles, and finding an efficiency of motion.
Sanding too many parts at a time, with too much force is not as efficient in creating a smooth or efficient result.
Smooth is fast, and fast is smooth.
However we can't get smooth if we aren't patient, gentle, or repetitive in small measured portions.
