Great tips! I practice the STAR framework, but have been missing out on the ‘nugget of information’ at the beginning. Will be incorporating them in my future interviews. Thanks for sharing!
Ahh this video was extremely helpful! Thank you for reminding me about Nugget + SAR... I guess it's probably time for me to revisit Cracking the PM Interview :)
This is very insightful and helpful. In my career I have alway wing the behavioral and I guess I’ve been lucky but has always been a very stressful experience. This takes that edge off and makes me less anxious. I have an interview coming up this week and will definitely use this. By the way do you mind putting a video giving an example that follows this framework end-to-end? I’m sure a lot of people will benefit from that. Just like you did on the “how to think like a PM” video. That really helped me understand the role. Thank you!
I'm so happy it was helpful! Yeah exactly, if nothing else, having these preparations just takes off a lot of the stress of behavioral interviews. And yeah I'll maybe put together another example video! Good idea :)
Great and valuable content as usual Alisa. Tomorrow i will work on my 5 stories using the SAR methodology. I have an interview coming. Thanks again. Would you mind doing a video on what should be the first 100 days as a new PM? Peace.
Hi Alisa, thank you for your content. This is really inspiring and helpful. I'm currently a second-year student at the University of Toronto. I have one project experience and one internship experience in consulting. But I have no tech degree, tech experience, or PM experience. I'm just starting to learn product management and do all the prep stuff, including books, courses, and coding. I'm pretty anxious about my background, and I feel like I'm a little bit late to start preparing. What else can I do to get the first PM Intern?
Hi Alisa, this video is going to be very helpful, but can you please tell me "How can I know that I would be asked Behavioural Questions in my interview? How do we get to know this?
Hi Ishika, that's a great question! If you just have a general interview (not a case, or a presentation), I would expect to get these behavioral questions. It's kind of the interview default!
I'm so happy they've been helpful! I really like Inspired by Marty Cagan, and I think that Cracking the PM Interview is actually a really good way to learn what's important for product management as well!
@@AlisaHaman, it's a plus. but they asked me to share my favorite app and why?, how can I improve it? how can you coordinate that with designers and engineers? plan of action is recommended also to define success metrics. that's all about they are asking to be evidence-based. I'm trying to get overview about how can I crack it but it's a little bit hard for me so if you can share any suggestions depending on these points I would be happy.
One of the most valuable information about product management interviews. Thanks for sharing.
I have an interview today and this video was SO helpful! Gonna work on implementing the 'nugget' into my answers and keeping them concise :)
I am SO happy to hear it was helpful!!! I hope the interview went well! 🙏
@@AlisaHaman it went well! I made sure to use the nuggets throughout :)
Great video to watch.

Yeah it's so helpful to have that one-liner at the beginning!

Hi Kevin, best of luck to you in your upcoming interview!!!! And that's a great idea, I'll put it on my list :)
@@AlisaHaman Thank you Alisa!
This was an amazing idea! I love how thorough you were about the concepts and questions, it is extremely helpful!!
I'm so glad! Thank you :)
This was very helpful. Thank you😁
You’re welcome 😊
It was really useful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
+1 (I am an experienced PM and a refresher like this always helps)
Great video. Side note - the video constantly zooming in and out is a bit distracting.
I couldn't get the book in Nigeria, sadly

Alisa how are you? can you share resources that I can use to tackle take home assignment
Yeah definitely, those take home assignments can be intense! Do you have to prep a presentation?
@@AlisaHaman, it's a plus.
