Okay, so I'm just gonna post like.. half a FAQ now, and add to it when my head stops spinning-spinning. Q: Why didn't you discuss ______ A: The video, "Skies Forever Blue" dropped Monday night, and I didn't realize it until early Tuesday morning. My goal was to get this video out on Friday, which left me about 3 days to try to make this entire thing. I was trying, very very hard, to illustrate my point in as few words as possible, so alas, there are many many things I wish I could have gone over in more detail. Especially regarding the lyrics. Suffice to say, if I didn't discuss something here, it's not because it wasn't important, it's because my nose was against the grindstone. I promise I am not lacking in material or evidence. My lack is Time and Power. Q: Why did you have to rush it though, why not just take your time? A: The short answer is "Algorithm." The long answer... I... don't feel like articulating right now. Maybe later...Zzzz Q: But wasn't this a collab between Toby and a bunch of artists? Why are you acting like it's Toby's thing? A: Undertale is a collab too... yes Toby did most of it, but even so, many other artists had their hand in various parts of it, including Temmie, Everdread, and Magnolia Porter. It would be surprising if the artists who worked on this video didn't contribute things to it, but that doesn't invalidate it as "Potentially related to Deltarune." Especially given the timing. The credits say "Video Concept: Toby Fox" so I'm inclined to believe this is his vision, even if there are traits of Omori or what have you also present within this piece, the same way Omega Flowey is still Toby's even if it screams of Everude's style. Q: It dropped on Halloween though, not necessarily Deltarune's Anniversary. A: I mean, that's fair but, it's not... particularly spooky divorced from the Deltarune context is it? Like I'm not saying spooky things don't happen in it, just that if you showed someone who's never played Deltarune this video, they likely wouldn't imagine it's a Halloween video. I can't read Toby's mind of course, but these are the vibes I got from what he made. Maybe I'm completely off base, and it's actually an homage to Undertale, or to all of the artist's various visions coming together. There's no way to be sure unless we ask the man himself and, I mean we could, but if this does turn out to be part of the Deltarune puzzle, I'd rather see if we can solve it ourselves before asking the GM for a hint, right? Q: I still don't think they're related though, is that okay? A: Yep! My point here isn't, "You should believe This Thing," it's, "I'd like to see more people talking about This Thing, and looking into This Thing," because I am just one person." As a community, Deltarune fans are actually crazy good at digging, I'm just making sure we don't overlook the big X Toby seems to have painted on the map.
I have a feeling that if tried to “hit up Toby for a hint” we wouldn’t get a response anyway... Edit: If you really want to include some of the stuff you had to leave out due to time constraints, you could always make an update video or something where you go over some of the extra evidence
Skies forever blue sounds like a reference to Pollyanna, an earthbound song, the version with lyrics has a line that says "I believe in skies forever blue" its a really heartwarming song
So in the end of Sky forever blue, i got recommended 3 video, one of them is 74 compose by Toby Fox. The song have some notes from Welcome to the city.

A lot of Japanese retro RPGs used only Katakana for both technical (tile space) and readability at the lower resolutions. So switching to exclusively katakana may be showing the game devolving back from complexity to its retro state, or the character becoming more artificial.
i was thinking of commenting this! i'm not some japanese expert, but from what i know there are also some situations where robot characters have their dialogue written in katakana (for basically the same reasons you mention, the artificiality), so i took it as maybe the character "going back" to being a string of code in the game instead of an independent person.
I don't think you need to theorise this for it to make sense. At this point in the song the English spoken lyrics are corrupting, making a robotic sound. Since the Japanese is only text, in order to reflect this effect the Japanese uses katakana, which can have a more digital feel.
The save file wasn't (willingly) deleted in the credits screen, its a gameboy game, like old pokemon cartridges the cartridge itself has a save battery which only lasts for about 15 years. You can still start the game but your save will be corrupted/deleted once its empty and saving/loading won't work. She likely knew she didn't have much time left and acted outside of her code to enjoy her last journey before the save battery ran out.
Yep that's like the entire point of the song. Because it was almost run out of battery life, the girl character's glitching/modifying the game is possible.
It feels like the girl saw past the dark and exerted a free will she wasn't supposed to have, made choices she wasn't supposed to make, and as the last straw that is confessing her love, the world vanishes.
@@willeatyourfamily1034 that was another thought I had too until someone brought up the fact that when a game is glitching horribly possibly even disabling your ability to save it makes whatever run a "and this is a great reference" ONESHOT Run basically you go through the entire game without having to save or reload once making it possibly the most hectic but most rewarding with lore bits thing that Toby could possibly go with from what we have so far

Part of me wants to control myself and say that this is probably just a coincidence, or a few references at most... But it also just seems to fit a little too well for it to not be at least partially forshadowing?? Stuff like the white being compared to the ice palace might be a bit of a stretch on their own, but a lot of it just, adds up in combination with each other? The fact that Toby is both credited for Video Concept and wrote the lyrics does not help. If it is just a meaningless coincidence, its a coincidence that hits distressingly close to elements that either are in Deltarune, or were already theorized to be a part of it in the future.
I mean I get omocat animated this but it oddly felt more connected to omori. Could just be the art style but it felt like a slight implication for hero and mari. As there's ALSO a theory for that floating around. But that could just also be a coincidence and it's just some neat little animation.

I think I know what erased the save data in the Skies Forever Blue music video. Game Boy games that store save files store them using a battery built in to the cartridge. If you go years and years without playing the game, as implied by the stuff that piles up, the battery dies and the cartridge can no longer hold a save. You can replace the battery, but the old save is gone forever.
I feel like not enough people know about this. Partly because it's been so long since solid state memory became common and because it takes a long time for those batteries to die.

Knowing Toby Fox, the answer to the question of if Skies Forever Blue foreshadows Deltarune is “yes and no depending on how I feel today” There is also the fact that the world of darkness the girl falls into in the music video looks like Black Space from Omori. In Omori, Black Space is the land of repressed memories that exists under the normal world. I imagine you could make some theory saying that Toby Fox is using Omori imagery to foreshadow Deltarune because In Omori, Basil falls into Black Space and so seeing a character who might represent Dess falling into a place that looks like Black Space could exist to confirm the theory that Dess went to the Dark World, but that is a can of worms I don’t want to open.
Basil and Dess both went missing (Headspace Basil, of course), and seeing how omocat specifically helped on the video and seems to really like helping toby make these crazy things (Rococo and Jevil are so similar it’s frightening) it wouldn’t surprise me if the references were intentional. Gosh darn I can barely form sentences right now my brain is blanking but I hope you get what I mean
This video could also be a reference to Omori, as the characters somewhat resemble some Omori characters, particularly the main hero, who resembles Hero. But considering the art is made by Omocat, it’s also possible the characters looking somewhat similar is a coincidence, since her artstyle is distinct. But the white area breaking into a dark, glitchy void, is somewhat similar to white and black space.
i think you are totally right. when i watched it i found heaps of omori references and stuff but not all that much for deltarune. also i don't think it could be a coincedence that they resemble Hero and Sweetheart that much, like the bow and pink hair and just all the heroness.
@@novathesnowcone Omocat helped with the animation and graphics, but who made the video concept, lyrics, scene ideas etc was toby so while the animation is made with his vision and ideas he wasn't the one who animated it.

Personally I think the concepts explored by Omori and Deltarune intersect in this video because Toby Fox and Omocat have similar interests in these topics of unreality, artificial intelligence, dark abysses, and twisting around the classic RPG. This shared interest led to the collaboration, and thus we can see both of their styles and influences in the video. Though I doubt it is 1-to-1 any kind of foreshadowing, since making it all about Toby and his projects is just one possible lens we can see the video through, imo. But if it IS foreshadowing, then it would be kind of a bummer for anyone who just plays the Deltarune game without any of the Lore Of Toby and knowledge of previous Toby things because they might get blindsided more than the theorycrafters lol
@mlg noob and tbh the lore that was explored in the sweepstakes and (maybe) in the music video isn't like, actual new concrete lore, it was either outlines for stuff we don't know yet, stuff that reinforces ideas that already existed, or things that aren't that important except for maybe characterisation that could also easily be implemented in the actual game. All this ARG stuff, at least to me, just seems like complementary material. Stuff that exists to keep us busy, but won't be necessary to fully enjoy the full game
@@zepic3895 Yeah, that's my feeling too. The only thing that might not be reiterated in the game is elemental pairs, if they remain a weird background mechanical detail. Otherwise, if like, Dess or Mike end up being important they'll be explained enough to follow the plot.
It doesn't seem directly lore related, but I think there are parallels we should draw from it. Something I find interesting is that blue skies is literally what spamton had painted on the wall in his shop area and on the walls during the final scene of his bossfight, where he was excited about having his strings cut. Blue skies might be an in universe motif for any character longing for a world more significant than their own, i.e. longing for Heaven.

Something I'd like to note is that you can draw connections between Skies Forever Blue and the "one ending" theme Deltarune has. If we assume that the game wasn't designed to have an ending where the girl confesses, but her love was strong enough to change that (which is both adorable and terrifing considering that LV exists); then the game breaking on that 'route' takes on new meaning. It's not just the battery inside the console dying that causes the glitches, it's the choices of a character rewriting the games code. This leads me to two conclusions: 1. The voice in the code (who I'm just gonna assume is Dess) is going to be freed by Noelle on the Snowgrave route once she learns to harness her code manipulating power. (she's already good at finding glitches considering the sweepstakes) 2. The Snowgrave route """""ends"""" by deleting your save file.
You can even say that her story would end anyway, because the game ends there, their story, ends there, she only has one day to spend with the player, no matter the battery lifespan
Imma just copy my comment since it may add something of value here so: so I was binging the deltacast after watching this video and in episode 4 at about 21 minutes 45 seconds they say something about noelle along the line of “by breaking the game doing what you weren’t meant to, you can achieve a new ending” which that kind of reminded me of this with the npc breaking the coding henceforth achieving a new ending. So maybe the girl mirrors noelle, because the girl gained Love (the romantic type) But noelle gained love (level of violence). Coincidence I THINK NOT
I usually think the community goes overboard with theorizing, but in this case I think it's justified. I'm in a class being taught by one of the people that was commissioned to work on this video. The only thing they said about this project was they were really busy because their client (toby) was very picky and particular about the details. It was only until halloween I learned that the client was toby lol. To me this means it isn't just a fun little music video he put together with some friends, but also something that had some real thought and planning put into it.
While I don’t see it as inconceivable that Toby Fox would hide Deltarune foreshadowing in a random music video, I personally think it’s a bit of a stretch. Keep in mind that Onocat also worked on the video, and she created the game Omori. The player character in Skies Forever Blue is a dead ringer for the character Hero form Omori, and the princess character looks like Mari (Hero’s canonical girlfriend) from the same game. And both the art styles of the game itself and the out of game sequence are reminiscent of art styles used with in the game Omori. Not to mention the fact that (out getting into spoilers) The relationship depicted in the video is loosely to the relationship between Hero and Mari, The princess even said (going off of memory) “you named me after your beloved”. Given all this, the whole thing kind of feels like a video game that Hero happens to play. Like I said above, it’s not inconceivable that Toby Fox and Omocat worked together to both pay tribute to A relationship in Omori while also foreshadowing Deltarune, but the Deltarune side feels a bit like a stretch to me.
I feel like people would be less suspicious of this if Toby didn't upload a Spamton Sweepstakes-like webpage connected to this music video on the day of the Deltarune anniversary. But it would be funny if this is a tribute to Omori that also has foreshadowing for Deltarune.
The smile.ogg sound is ALSO IN 74, the song toby fox did with hana itoki 4 years ago. And in that song there is a line about a knight in shining armor whose courage pushed the dark a-(way). And get this - The song is called 74 and the numbers of the hp and mp of both characters added up on the first shot of the skies blue music video is 74.
It goes a little further too! That song is referenced in the opening notes of "Welcome to the City". And those opening notes are repeated ominously in the Weird Route.
Of course the cute song about creating enough courage to say "I love you" would have deep lore in the hands of Toby lol. But really, I'm impressed how well and fast you put the theory together, it's impressive. I do wonders the "Person in Pink" is also neighbors with the "Hero in Blue", and that theory that Dess was dating Asriel would fit with them going in adventure's through the Dark World (so maybe this isn't directly correlated to Deltarune, but a reflection of ideas?). Also, this will sound kinda random and not well put together, but the first time the "Person in Pink" said in the song was "isn't true" if I remember correctly, only to later glitch out to the "I love you". I saw someone in the Skies Forever Blue comments theorize about why there's no save file at the end One of the lines in the song is "until the battery runs dry," and GameBoy cartridges actually did have a battery in them, and once the battery's dead you'd still be able to play the game, but you wouldn't be able to maintain saves anymore. So the player likely came back to their game because they wanted to relive old memories and play it again. But their old save got deleted because the cartridge was so old the battery was dead and even though they decided to play to the end again, that got deleted too. I actually have a cartridge of Pokemon Red with a dead battery, I found out a couple years ago when I tried to play it again but then when I found out it wouldn't let me save I gave up on replaying it.
I always click on these videos thinking "ok, now they've gone off the deep end". And yet, inevitably, by the end I am completely enthralled and convinced of something I thought was insane. Really great work!

I highly doubt it. I think is a reference to mother/earthbound series. In the beginning of the song you see both of them defeating a monster. The hp thing and graphics look like mother 1. Also, "skies forever blue" is a part of "pollyanna" song. "I believe in skies forever blue. Why shouldn't I believe the same in you". And the part that says: "Seems our journey is now through. All is saved here thanks to you. There was something I should say but surely it can wait another day" is very similar of what Paula says at the end of earthbound. She says: "Thank you for escorting me home. There was something I wanted to tell you, but I've forgotten it. I'm sure I'll remember by the time I see you again". We as players can't see that day, same that happens in skies forever blue. Also, both Toby Fox and Omocat are earthbound fans. I'm sure the intention was to make something that reminisces earthbound.

They don’t look like deltarune characters. Those are Omori characters. The white is a reference to the game being closed that’s why she’s falling down. The void would mean that the save file was deleted. Twin ribbons are nostalgic because it’s a common trope in anime. Although; deltarune makes a point that dark worlds are physical things being represented in a new way, that’s why they “turn to stone” but we don’t know what a dark world looks like from an outsiders perspective- technically things have happened and the items have formed relationships so, what if they are fully aware as items as well? Otherwise how could Spamton have spoken with Noelle- given he’s a program of sorts it makes sense he can interact with the lightener world. So if you made a tv a dark world or a video game into a dark world would the characters in the tv or game be able to communicate with you?

Kris's fate changed as now they changed into Frisk, which can through decisions finally decide what they want. And Susie? Well, we couldn't find her in Undertale and probably she is not in UT at all. That's the price of making a better world for everyone. Or maybe that's her wish. Still, UT is making a own story. Don't think about it too much. You got the most happy ending you can. But Deltarune... haha. World is ending, no matter what we will do. If we die and give up, world will be shrouded in darkness. Literally. Maybe Undertale is the only way to actually save something from this sick world Deltarune is... Yet there is another one option, because Clam Girl says "might be". Susie might not be the reason of Undertale existence, yet she might be the reason Frisk is here. Big can of worms if you ask me.
...I think I'll add some fuel to the fire with this. Another unused character found in Undertale is the "[REDACTED]," which, weirdly enough, uses Wing Dings just like our good doctor. But more importantly, when the bow flies off the girl's head, they look suspiciously similar to Redacted, hair draped down their face, as they fall into a black place... If Fox's gonna foreshadow Deltarune in an unrelated music video, and this is truly foreshadowing Dess, then it would make sense that Toby would use some more parallels to Undertale, appearance-wise. At least, that's how I see it. Also Jules Conroy's cloud on the website credits looks suspiciously like the Findher Guitar, so there's that too.

Ok, I don't think the song is literally related to Deltarune so much as there is a lot of overlap of the themes and ideas: characters that are trapped/lost outside of "reality," nostalgia for old video games you played as a kid, "glitches" as a diegetic element that can affect the characters, blurring the lines between fiction and reality, and of course Toby's favorite question of all: What if video game characters were real? A lot of these are things that are also present in Toby's other work like Undertale and Halloween Hack, so I think they are just things that he thinks about a lot, and not necessarily actual connections to Deltarune. That said, you make a lot of compelling points, and FINDHER bracelet is probably one of my new favorite theories. Also, this song is something new we can count as a part of Toby's somewhat limited library of works, and examining that library CAN tell us about his current and future projects.
My theory is that this shine represents determination, so items when turning into living beings or landscapes are being affected by determination, which gives them the save point shine.
if you think skies forever blue is connected to deltarune, there's also another collab song that toby did with itoki hana called 74, and it has one of chapter 2's main leitmotifs in the chorus!
More connections I found was when the girl mentioned a melody, stringed instruments with notes were floating in the air. The song mentions childhood friends, and in the video they go on an adventure. After the girl falls into the glitching darkness and the game starts up, her ribbons are gone and she seems more confident. Also, we know items from the dark world that go to the light world become objects, and we see a bunch of stuff in a big mess along with the game which the girl is in. They fall into the water, which is almost like the sky of another world, and dark world's are connected to water. Is this all really just a coincidence? Edit: Also, this "When you made my name the same just as the one you love than I knew" sound like the player names the girl or something. And if this IS Dragon Blazers, Susie mentions a sister being cursed. Edit 2: Remember in Chapter 1 were told eyes blinded by darkness will see the way through? Perhaps, the way to the truth? In the video the music goes "Pray this time my heart will [shine on through]", before saying it's a lie and than the girl runs after the boy before darkness surrounds her, and the game is put with all that junk. "There's a light inside your soul, that's still shining in the cold, with the truth." Cold could mean darkness, because when we think of darkness we think cold and water. Also, ice is another form of water, and water in connected to the dark worlds. What's the truth, and what's the promise in our hearts? Edit 3: After the song mentions that her heart will shine in through, before saying it isn't true. Than, the world is surrounded by darkness as the person puts the game down. Also, it says that everything is breaking as the ice breaks apart, and darkness seems to come from underneath. We know that if there is enough dark fountains, the world will break. And ice IS a form of water, so maybye the ice and darkness represent the dark fountains?

One thing I want to comment about how the lemotiff when the pink character sang "...to finally...say finally...I love you." at the end of the song sounds so similar to the "don't forget, i'm with you in the dark." lemotiff. Am probably reaching but it was the first thing I noticed when watching the video.

Omocat made the animation so is why the art style is similar, but who made the animation concept, scene ideas, even lyrics etc it was toby, so in the end is still a toby animation but with help of other artists.
I mean, everything is possible, but this is getting to the point similar to sakurai, where he couldn't do anything without everyone trying to link it to a smash reveal lmao
Considering some of the weird stuff JaruJaru has theorized about Kris having guilt over killing Asriel or whatever I'm more curious about how this relates to Omocat's game Omori.
i know this wont be seen but, the omori physical copy page on fangamer now has a glitched monochrome thing at the very end of it that shows scenes from skies forever blue. so either its BOTH connected to omori and deltarune, which would be insane, or this whole time it had nothing to do with deltarune and just omori... which would be hilarious
I'll be honest. This feels like a stretch, and if it turns out this really is unrelated, feels like it's disrespecting Toby's ability to just _make art_ without fans needing to tie everything he touches back into "the lore". Sure, there's similarities with 'sentient character in a glitchy, dying game world', but... it could just be that Toby _obviously_ likes exploring those concepts, and that's all; that's why he keeps using them in his work. Even the title seems to reference to a line from Pollyanna, an iconic Earthbound song, yet another thing he likes: "I believe in skies forever blue; Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?"
The big difference is Toby put a lot of weight onto Dragon Blazers, pushing people to it. It is less people reaching and more that people have been pushed into a certain direction. Especially with Dess missing and trying to find her. Sans is Ness, that was entirely Matpat's doing for better and worse. Also didn't Matpat admit it was a joke? You're right that coincidences do exist, but glitchy dying game world wasn't Undertale. I don't believe it was in the fan hack of Earthbound he made. This is just to name a few but you get my point. We just don't know at this point, but we do know an obscene number of coincidences exist.
So I clicked on this video thinking "Oh my god. Of course someone would make connections between Deltarune and Blue Skies. Let's see what they have to say" Now I'm just as insane as you because everything just makes sense in some way. Never underestimate Deltarune theorists
This ties in to my theory that in order to get Deltarune’s “true ending” it requires that you do special things between all 3 Save Files. Imagine something like opening up a Special 4th Save File once all keys are in place between a “Normal Run” First Save File, a “Weird Route” Second Save File, and then a Special Third Run Save File.
I dunno why but the expression: scooping up a world and leaving it empty sounds really ominous. Probably because when i thought of scooping something up i thought of scooping a person’s insides out while they are still alive.
I def think this is connected, there is just too many little things that makes it feel connected. The cute bow in the chest and Noelle saying its familiar. a dragon appearing as the final boss and the game is called DRAGON blazers, and the dragon looks skeletal, like the gaster blasters, the girl being called the lost girl and dess disappeared, there even is ice, which the holidays are linked too Christmas/winter and ice is linked to Christmas and winter usually, and then the ending music sounds like that one gaster entry. So many connections!
It seems like a reference to noelle to. Building up condfidence, getting stronger, ice… I could see the main chacter here actually being susie too, since she’s seen as the true main character to a lot of people.

Actually, it’s probably just an Earthbound reference. The official lyrics of the song Pollyanna include the phrase “I believe in skies forever blue, why shouldn’t I believe the same in you?” And we all know Toby Fox loves his Earthbound.
At first glance, my main problem with the idea of this game being Dragon Blazers is that in "Skies Forever Blue" we see multiple shots from throughout the game, and there are only ever these two protagonists in the player's party, while we know that Dragon Blazers is a game where other characters can join and leave your party, as indicated by the line "Dad, the mage left the party" that Noelle says in the post-Snowgrave hospital scene after her dad asks her to use the Fireshock. (Forgive me the wording of the line is not exactly accurate, I'm too lazy to search it up.)
We know that there are multiple Dragon Blazers games. Given that this one is on a gameboy, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this was the first one ( which would parallel the MOTHER series), which would make it reasonable for it to be more simplistic and only have 2 characters

You really were right about Toby playing 4D storytelling-chess with us. What kind of schemes is he up to?! I swear this man exists in the space between timelines and is using his games as an extremely complicated ARG that eventually leads to reality itself being torn apart. This man is either a genius, really good at improvising, an omniscient deity, or a combination of the three and it's impossible to tell.
Actually, now that you mention this, this does make me think of something!! You know how Toby said that Deltarune will most likely only have one ending?? Well, his music video sort of functions in a very similar way!! Regardless of the outcome, regardless of their choices, the game ends the same!! The only difference is the choices that you make along your journey!! Normally, the game would end with her saving her confession for another day, only for the game to end.. But knowing this, she was able to go back and redo choices that she wasn't as confident carrying out before!! It didn't make a big impact on the story, but she was at least able to say "I love you"... She got to do all the things she wanted to do, and was able to end the story happily regardless.. That's just a thought, though!! Regardless of whether it has ties to Deltarune or not, it's a good music video and this is a good theory!! Keep up the good work ^w^
I doubt the game seen in Skies Forever Blue is Dragon Blazers, since in that game, from what I undetand, there are at least 2 more party members accounted for: the mage, who "left the party", and "your" sister, who gets cursed at some point. We never see either of them in the video.
8:20 On a more positive(not really) note, I think the reason the file was deleted, was not because of the player, but because the clock batteries in the cartridge were "running dry". Gameboy cartridges kinda have expiration dates, because after some time, you are unable to save or load old save files anymore, because the save system is dependant on an internal clock battery Which is why I think the girl got courage to share her feelings to the player, she realized she was about to be deleted by forces neither of them could stop. This also explains why everything was glitchy, the game was broken, and couldn't be saved anymore. Now how does this relates to deltarune? Uh... I dunno. Just wanted to prove the player didn't just murder their virtual waifu after she declared herself to them I guess.
This is something I noticed in the last video with the "Toby released a skirt" bit, but... it feels particularly pertinent here. Please consider before referring to things that are a team effort as "Toby did/released X" or "Toby's video", etc. I know it's not intentional, but bear in mind the other creatives involved. In this particular case, this is very much a collaborative video/song with multiple people putting in a lot of effort, and assigning outsize importance to Toby feels a little dismissive of their contributions.
While it's true multiple artists made the animation, the animation concept, scene ideas, and even the lyrics got made by toby, it's a toby animation but with the help of other people, similar to Undertale pretty much, but yeah i do wish they at least mentioned it then again they did state it was a COMMISSION of Toby so sort off you can kinda get that isn't a thing he made by himself.

To be honest I feel like there’s more OMORI connections than DELTARUNE connections with this new music video. Since OMOCAT helped work on this too, Sunny’s headspace is made up of things he’s saw throughout his childhood. Now reimagined into his own world to cope with his depression and anxiety. (EX: the Princess in this video looks similar to SWEETHEART, a character and boss from OMORI.) Plus the gameboy looks similar to the one Sunny had whenever he was younger.
As you said, omocat worked on this, so it's not strange if you think of Omori. Also, Toby said someone was making a similar game to the one he was planning at the time, which a large part of the fandom have theorized to be Omori. If that's true, it's not strange if Deltarune and Omori have similarities either.

it reminded me of Asriel and Frisk talking at the end of the pacifist route, and asriel remembering chara "Seems our journey is now through. All is saved thanks to you" would be referencing how you've finished the game and freed the monsters, especially since [SAVE] was a big part of the final fight. the following part is Asriel remembering chara "when you made my name the same just as the one you love then I knew" could be in reference to how the name you choose is chara's name but asriel still calls frisk by that name "maybe to your view I'm just a faintly coloured hue that's alright" could be referring to how asriel realises that you aren't chara the singer talking about "our final time" and hoping that her "heart will shine on through" could be because of asriel turning back into flowey, which also explains the game breaking down before returning to how it was in the beginning with all the saves gone. Stuff about the battery running dry could be about asriel losing the power of the souls

I mostly attributed the video to the old aging of a gameboy, since cartridges after a while their saves get unusable, so in a way, she was forgotten, picked up again, only to realize that the save battery is low, thus the glitching and the end credits
I think that the first frames of the clip (two similar (human) figures standing (in complete darkness!!, mind you) to the sides and a bigger creature with huge wings and discernable head and torso in between) are an allusion to the delta rune symbol. Maybe I missed something (quite possibly), so correct me if I am wrong, but, iirc, we know very little about the meaning of the rune (which is the icon of the game, no less), and I don't see much discussion about this (video idea??). i think the problem with this theory is that i dont think it gives good enough reason to believe the song is meant to be connected to deltarune at all. tobys already collabed with itoki hana before, and even though 74 is referenced in welcome to the city, no ones arguing that that song is about deltarune. it makes me think of how toby was disappointed that people would only think of deltarune as "undertale 2" instead of its own thing. i think toby just wants to make other art with his peers. his work often covers similar themes and ideas in regards to video games and stories, but i dont think that means theyre all connected. with that in mind, if toby came out tomorrow and said skys forever blue is connected to deltarune, or some future deltarune chapter confirmed dragon blazers was like the world in the song, then i think the rest of the connections hold up pretty well. and i dont think the stuff about the gear even relies on the song to be worth considering. (although, i think noelles kid sprite wore her hair in two ponytails or braids. maybe both sisters did?)
Exactly! Although they talk about similar topics, it doesn't mean that theyre connected. theyre just the themes that Toby Fox likes to explore in his works!
What if the song actually represents how everything "started"? Dess, or the princess in love with the "hero" that is probably Kris, was able to see the "blue sky", in other words "heaven". Then something like a glitch happened, revealing the truth to both Kris (the hero) and Gaster (the skeleton dragon final boss?).
I came back to this theory after watching the music video for The Greatest Living Show because of some very interesting parallels with the points mentioned in this video. The dancers in dresses have long white pointed faces very reminiscent of Swatchlings, and the main character looks like a young girl wearing all white, which could definitely represent Dess. Most notably though is the final shot with the pink/white ribbon with the single sparkle on it. I don't think it can be a coincidence that this imagery shows up twice. My personal theory is that the circus represents the dark world and the blonde character at its head is Gaster. It shows him corrupting December like he did with Spamton and Jevil. This wouldn't spell good things for the Holiday family because the video ends with some... not so happy things happening to the character in white.
This one is quite a stretch, a lot glitchy visuals being similar can be chalked up to coincidence since the visuals used are very common ways to communicate a glitch. although the katakana makes me raise an eyebrow, it s not enough to convince me. good stuff none the less.
If this is meant to relate to dess, it seems to support the idea that she's the one talking in the 'UNUSED' files (and possibly through spamton somehow), which was already a fairly well-supported theory.

A: The video, "Skies Forever Blue" dropped Monday night, and I didn't realize it until early Tuesday morning. My goal was to get this video out on Friday, which left me about 3 days to try to make this entire thing.
I was trying, very very hard, to illustrate my point in as few words as possible, so alas, there are many many things I wish I could have gone over in more detail. Especially regarding the lyrics. Suffice to say, if I didn't discuss something here, it's not because it wasn't important, it's because my nose was against the grindstone.
I promise I am not lacking in material or evidence. My lack is Time and Power.

A: Undertale is a collab too... yes Toby did most of it, but even so, many other artists had their hand in various parts of it, including Temmie, Everdread, and Magnolia Porter. It would be surprising if the artists who worked on this video didn't contribute things to it, but that doesn't invalidate it as "Potentially related to Deltarune." Especially given the timing.
The credits say "Video Concept: Toby Fox" so I'm inclined to believe this is his vision, even if there are traits of Omori or what have you also present within this piece, the same way Omega Flowey is still Toby's even if it screams of Everude's style.
Q: It dropped on Halloween though, not necessarily Deltarune's Anniversary.
A: I mean, that's fair but, it's not... particularly spooky divorced from the Deltarune context is it?
Like I'm not saying spooky things don't happen in it, just that if you showed someone who's never played Deltarune this video, they likely wouldn't imagine it's a Halloween video.
I can't read Toby's mind of course, but these are the vibes I got from what he made. Maybe I'm completely off base, and it's actually an homage to Undertale, or to all of the artist's various visions coming together. There's no way to be sure unless we ask the man himself and, I mean we could, but if this does turn out to be part of the Deltarune puzzle, I'd rather see if we can solve it ourselves before asking the GM for a hint, right?

A lot of Japanese retro RPGs used only Katakana for both technical (tile space) and readability at the lower resolutions. So switching to exclusively katakana may be showing the game devolving back from complexity to its retro state, or the character becoming more artificial.

i was thinking of commenting this! i'm not some japanese expert, but from what i know there are also some situations where robot characters have their dialogue written in katakana (for basically the same reasons you mention, the artificiality), so i took it as maybe the character "going back" to being a string of code in the game instead of an independent person.

I don't think you need to theorise this for it to make sense. At this point in the song the English spoken lyrics are corrupting, making a robotic sound. Since the Japanese is only text, in order to reflect this effect the Japanese uses katakana, which can have a more digital feel.

The save file wasn't (willingly) deleted in the credits screen, its a gameboy game, like old pokemon cartridges the cartridge itself has a save battery which only lasts for about 15 years.
You can still start the game but your save will be corrupted/deleted once its empty and saving/loading won't work.
She likely knew she didn't have much time left and acted outside of her code to enjoy her last journey before the save battery ran out.
Yep that's like the entire point of the song. Because it was almost run out of battery life, the girl character's glitching/modifying the game is possible.
And in fact, one of the lyrics support this, “Till the battery runs dry”.
It feels like the girl saw past the dark and exerted a free will she wasn't supposed to have, made choices she wasn't supposed to make, and as the last straw that is confessing her love, the world vanishes.

I think I know what erased the save data in the Skies Forever Blue music video. Game Boy games that store save files store them using a battery built in to the cartridge. If you go years and years without playing the game, as implied by the stuff that piles up, the battery dies and the cartridge can no longer hold a save. You can replace the battery, but the old save is gone forever.
I feel like not enough people know about this. Partly because it's been so long since solid state memory became common and because it takes a long time for those batteries to die.

Knowing Toby Fox, the answer to the question of if Skies Forever Blue foreshadows Deltarune is “yes and no depending on how I feel today”
There is also the fact that the world of darkness the girl falls into in the music video looks like Black Space from Omori. In Omori, Black Space is the land of repressed memories that exists under the normal world. I imagine you could make some theory saying that Toby Fox is using Omori imagery to foreshadow Deltarune because In Omori, Basil falls into Black Space and so seeing a character who might represent Dess falling into a place that looks like Black Space could exist to confirm the theory that Dess went to the Dark World, but that is a can of worms I don’t want to open.
and the hero looks identical to hero from OMORI
Basil and Dess both went missing (Headspace Basil, of course), and seeing how omocat specifically helped on the video and seems to really like helping toby make these crazy things (Rococo and Jevil are so similar it’s frightening) it wouldn’t surprise me if the references were intentional.

This video could also be a reference to Omori, as the characters somewhat resemble some Omori characters, particularly the main hero, who resembles Hero. But considering the art is made by Omocat, it’s also possible the characters looking somewhat similar is a coincidence, since her artstyle is distinct. But the white area breaking into a dark, glitchy void, is somewhat similar to white and black space.

Personally I think the concepts explored by Omori and Deltarune intersect in this video because Toby Fox and Omocat have similar interests in these topics of unreality, artificial intelligence, dark abysses, and twisting around the classic RPG. This shared interest led to the collaboration, and thus we can see both of their styles and influences in the video. Though I doubt it is 1-to-1 any kind of foreshadowing, since making it all about Toby and his projects is just one possible lens we can see the video through, imo. But if it IS foreshadowing, then it would be kind of a bummer for anyone who just plays the Deltarune game without any of the Lore Of Toby and knowledge of previous Toby things because they might get blindsided more than the theorycrafters lol
@mlg noob and tbh the lore that was explored in the sweepstakes and (maybe) in the music video isn't like, actual new concrete lore, it was either outlines for stuff we don't know yet, stuff that reinforces ideas that already existed, or things that aren't that important except for maybe characterisation that could also easily be implemented in the actual game.
All this ARG stuff, at least to me, just seems like complementary material. Stuff that exists to keep us busy, but won't be necessary to fully enjoy the full game
@@zepic3895 Yeah, that's my feeling too. The only thing that might not be reiterated in the game is elemental pairs, if they remain a weird background mechanical detail. Otherwise, if like, Dess or Mike end up being important they'll be explained enough to follow the plot.
It doesn't seem directly lore related, but I think there are parallels we should draw from it. Something I find interesting is that blue skies is literally what spamton had painted on the wall in his shop area and on the walls during the final scene of his bossfight, where he was excited about having his strings cut. Blue skies might be an in universe motif for any character longing for a world more significant than their own, i.e. longing for Heaven.

Something I'd like to note is that you can draw connections between Skies Forever Blue and the "one ending" theme Deltarune has.
If we assume that the game wasn't designed to have an ending where the girl confesses, but her love was strong enough to change that (which is both adorable and terrifing considering that LV exists); then the game breaking on that 'route' takes on new meaning. It's not just the battery inside the console dying that causes the glitches, it's the choices of a character rewriting the games code. This leads me to two conclusions:
1. The voice in the code (who I'm just gonna assume is Dess) is going to be freed by Noelle on the Snowgrave route once she learns to harness her code manipulating power. (she's already good at finding glitches considering the sweepstakes)
2. The Snowgrave route """""ends"""" by deleting your save file.
If so, that would also reference how UT players can only escape the corrupted post Genocide Routes by deleting their save file.
You can even say that her story would end anyway, because the game ends there, their story, ends there, she only has one day to spend with the player, no matter the battery lifespan
Imma just copy my comment since it may add something of value here so: so I was binging the deltacast after watching this video and in episode 4 at about 21 minutes 45 seconds they say something about noelle along the line of “by breaking the game doing what you weren’t meant to, you can achieve a new ending” which that kind of reminded me of this with the npc breaking the coding henceforth achieving a new ending. So maybe the girl mirrors noelle, because the girl gained Love (the romantic type) But noelle gained love (level of violence). Coincidence I THINK NOT

I usually think the community goes overboard with theorizing, but in this case I think it's justified.
I'm in a class being taught by one of the people that was commissioned to work on this video. The only thing they said about this project was they were really busy because their client (toby) was very picky and particular about the details. It was only until halloween I learned that the client was toby lol. To me this means it isn't just a fun little music video he put together with some friends, but also something that had some real thought and planning put into it.

While I don’t see it as inconceivable that Toby Fox would hide Deltarune foreshadowing in a random music video, I personally think it’s a bit of a stretch. Keep in mind that Onocat also worked on the video, and she created the game Omori. The player character in Skies Forever Blue is a dead ringer for the character Hero form Omori, and the princess character looks like Mari (Hero’s canonical girlfriend) from the same game. And both the art styles of the game itself and the out of game sequence are reminiscent of art styles used with in the game Omori. Not to mention the fact that (out getting into spoilers) The relationship depicted in the video is loosely to the relationship between Hero and Mari, The princess even said (going off of memory) “you named me after your beloved”. Given all this, the whole thing kind of feels like a video game that Hero happens to play.
Like I said above, it’s not inconceivable that Toby Fox and Omocat worked together to both pay tribute to A relationship in Omori while also foreshadowing Deltarune, but the Deltarune side feels a bit like a stretch to me.
I feel like people would be less suspicious of this if Toby didn't upload a Spamton Sweepstakes-like webpage connected to this music video on the day of the Deltarune anniversary.
But it would be funny if this is a tribute to Omori that also has foreshadowing for Deltarune.

Of course the cute song about creating enough courage to say "I love you" would have deep lore in the hands of Toby lol. But really, I'm impressed how well and fast you put the theory together, it's impressive. I do wonders the "Person in Pink" is also neighbors with the "Hero in Blue", and that theory that Dess was dating Asriel would fit with them going in adventure's through the Dark World (so maybe this isn't directly correlated to Deltarune, but a reflection of ideas?). I saw someone in the Skies Forever Blue comments theorize about why there's no save file at the end
One of the lines in the song is "until the battery runs dry," and GameBoy cartridges actually did have a battery in them, and once the battery's dead you'd still be able to play the game, but you wouldn't be able to maintain saves anymore.
So the player likely came back to their game because they wanted to relive old memories and play it again. But their old save got deleted because the cartridge was so old the battery was dead and even though they decided to play to the end again, that got deleted too.
I actually have a cartridge of Pokemon Red with a dead battery, I found out a couple years ago when I tried to play it again but then when I found out it wouldn't let me save I gave up on replaying it.

In the beginning of the song you see both of them defeating a monster. The hp thing and graphics look like mother 1.
Also, "skies forever blue" is a part of "pollyanna" song. "I believe in skies forever blue. Why shouldn't I believe the same in you".
And the part that says: "Seems our journey is now through. All is saved here thanks to you. There was something I should say but surely it can wait another day" is very similar of what Paula says at the end of earthbound. She says: "Thank you for escorting me home. There was something I wanted to tell you, but I've forgotten it. I'm sure I'll remember by the time I see you again". We as players can't see that day, same that happens in skies forever blue.
Also, both Toby Fox and Omocat are earthbound fans. I'm sure the intention was to make something that reminisces earthbound.

They don’t look like deltarune characters. Those are Omori characters. The white is a reference to the game being closed that’s why she’s falling down. The void would mean that the save file was deleted. Twin ribbons are nostalgic because it’s a common trope in anime. Although; deltarune makes a point that dark worlds are physical things being represented in a new way, that’s why they “turn to stone” but we don’t know what a dark world looks like from an outsiders perspective- technically things have happened and the items have formed relationships so, what if they are fully aware as items as well? Otherwise how could Spamton have spoken with Noelle- given he’s a program of sorts it makes sense he can interact with the lightener world. So if you made a tv a dark world or a video game into a dark world would the characters in the tv or game be able to communicate with you?

Noelle is with her family. Kris's fate changed as now they changed into Frisk, which can through decisions finally decide what they want.
And Susie? Well, we couldn't find her in Undertale and probably she is not in UT at all. That's the price of making a better world for everyone. Or maybe that's her wish.
Still, UT is making a own story. Don't think about it too much. You got the most happy ending you can. But Deltarune... haha. World is ending, no matter what we will do. If we die and give up, world will be shrouded in darkness. Literally. Maybe Undertale is the only way to actually save something from this sick world Deltarune is...

Ok, I don't think the song is literally related to Deltarune so much as there is a lot of overlap of the themes and ideas: characters that are trapped/lost outside of "reality," nostalgia for old video games you played as a kid, "glitches" as a diegetic element that can affect the characters, blurring the lines between fiction and reality, and of course Toby's favorite question of all: What if video game characters were real? A lot of these are things that are also present in Toby's other work like Undertale and Halloween Hack, so I think they are just things that he thinks about a lot, and not necessarily actual connections to Deltarune. That said, you make a lot of compelling points, and FINDHER bracelet is probably one of my new favorite theories. Also, this song is something new we can count as a part of Toby's somewhat limited library of works, and examining that library CAN tell us about his current and future projects.
BTW, the shining part during the girl's falling looks very similar to Deltarune's save points

My theory is that this shine represents determination, so items when turning into living beings or landscapes are being affected by determination, which gives them the save point shine.

if you think skies forever blue is connected to deltarune, there's also another collab song that toby did with itoki hana called 74, and it has one of chapter 2's main leitmotifs in the chorus!
More connections I found was when the girl mentioned a melody, stringed instruments with notes were floating in the air. The song mentions childhood friends, and in the video they go on an adventure. After the girl falls into the glitching darkness and the game starts up, her ribbons are gone and she seems more confident. Also, we know items from the dark world that go to the light world become objects, and we see a bunch of stuff in a big mess along with the game which the girl is in. They fall into the water, which is almost like the sky of another world, and dark world's are connected to water. Is this all really just a coincidence?
Edit: Also, this "When you made my name the same just as the one you love than I knew" sound like the player names the girl or something. And if this IS Dragon Blazers, Susie mentions a sister being cursed.
Edit 2: Remember in Chapter 1 were told eyes blinded by darkness will see the way through? Perhaps, the way to the truth? In the video the music goes "Pray this time my heart will [shine on through]", before saying it's a lie and than the girl runs after the boy before darkness surrounds her, and the game is put with all that junk. "There's a light inside your soul, that's still shining in the cold, with the truth." Cold could mean darkness, because when we think of darkness we think cold and water. Also, ice is another form of water, and water in connected to the dark worlds. What's the truth, and what's the promise in our hearts?
Edit 3: After the song mentions that her heart will shine in through, before saying it isn't true. Than, the world is surrounded by darkness as the person puts the game down. Also, it says that everything is breaking as the ice breaks apart, and darkness seems to come from underneath. We know that if there is enough dark fountains, the world will break. And ice IS a form of water, so maybye the ice and darkness represent the dark fountains?

This feels like a stretch, and if it turns out this really is unrelated, feels like it's disrespecting Toby's ability to just _make art_ without fans needing to tie everything he touches back into "the lore". Sure, there's similarities with 'sentient character in a glitchy, dying game world', but... it could just be that Toby _obviously_ likes exploring those concepts, and that's all; that's why he keeps using them in his work.
Even the title seems to reference to a line from Pollyanna, an iconic Earthbound song, yet another thing he likes: "I believe in skies forever blue; Why shouldn't I believe the same in you?"
The big difference is Toby put a lot of weight onto Dragon Blazers, pushing people to it. It is less people reaching and more that people have been pushed into a certain direction. Especially with Dess missing and trying to find her.

I def think this is connected, there is just too many little things that makes it feel connected. The cute bow in the chest and Noelle saying its familiar. a dragon appearing as the final boss and the game is called DRAGON blazers, and the dragon looks skeletal, like the gaster blasters, the girl being called the lost girl and dess disappeared, there even is ice, which the holidays are linked too Christmas/winter and ice is linked to Christmas and winter usually, and then the ending music sounds like that one gaster entry. So many connections!

At first glance, my main problem with the idea of this game being Dragon Blazers is that in "Skies Forever Blue" we see multiple shots from throughout the game, and there are only ever these two protagonists in the player's party, while we know that Dragon Blazers is a game where other characters can join and leave your party, as indicated by the line "Dad, the mage left the party" that Noelle says in the post-Snowgrave hospital scene after her dad asks her to use the Fireshock. (Forgive me the wording of the line is not exactly accurate, I'm too lazy to search it up.)
Maybe they're characters you can hire instead of forced history characters?
We know that there are multiple Dragon Blazers games. Given that this one is on a gameboy, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this was the first one ( which would parallel the MOTHER series), which would make it reasonable for it to be more simplistic and only have 2 characters

You know how Toby said that Deltarune will most likely only have one ending?? Well, his music video sort of functions in a very similar way!!
Regardless of the outcome, regardless of their choices, the game ends the same!! The only difference is the choices that you make along your journey!!
Normally, the game would end with her saving her confession for another day, only for the game to end.. But knowing this, she was able to go back and redo choices that she wasn't as confident carrying out before!!
It didn't make a big impact on the story, but she was at least able to say "I love you"... She got to do all the things she wanted to do, and was able to end the story happily regardless..
That's just a thought, though!! Regardless of whether it has ties to Deltarune or not, it's a good music video and this is a good theory!! Keep up the good work ^w^
I doubt the game seen in Skies Forever Blue is Dragon Blazers, since in that game, from what I undetand, there are at least 2 more party members accounted for: the mage, who "left the party", and "your" sister, who gets cursed at some point. We never see either of them in the video.

8:20 On a more positive(not really) note, I think the reason the file was deleted, was not because of the player, but because the clock batteries in the cartridge were "running dry".
Gameboy cartridges kinda have expiration dates, because after some time, you are unable to save or load old save files anymore, because the save system is dependant on an internal clock battery
Which is why I think the girl got courage to share her feelings to the player, she realized she was about to be deleted by forces neither of them could stop. This also explains why everything was glitchy, the game was broken, and couldn't be saved anymore.
Now how does this relates to deltarune? Uh... I dunno. Just wanted to prove the player didn't just murder their virtual waifu after she declared herself to them I guess.
This is something I noticed in the last video with the "Toby released a skirt" bit, but... it feels particularly pertinent here.
Please consider before referring to things that are a team effort as "Toby did/released X" or "Toby's video", etc. I know it's not intentional, but bear in mind the other creatives involved. In this particular case, this is very much a collaborative video/song with multiple people putting in a lot of effort, and assigning outsize importance to Toby feels a little dismissive of their contributions.
While it's true multiple artists made the animation, the animation concept, scene ideas, and even the lyrics got made by toby, it's a toby animation but with the help of other people, similar to Undertale pretty much, but yeah i do wish they at least mentioned it then again they did state it was a COMMISSION of Toby so sort off you can kinda get that isn't a thing he made by himself.

Want the smoking gun? This song was released on Deltarunes 4th anniversary. Many people thought it was weird that there was no Deltarune content released on the day. Would it not be GENIUS if this song was meant to be an indirect teaser for future Deltarune chapters for the anniversary.
To be honest I feel like there’s more OMORI connections than DELTARUNE connections with this new music video. Since OMOCAT helped work on this too, Sunny’s headspace is made up of things he’s saw throughout his childhood. Now reimagined into his own world to cope with his depression and anxiety. (EX: the Princess in this video looks similar to SWEETHEART, a character and boss from OMORI.) Plus the gameboy looks similar to the one Sunny had whenever he was younger.

Also, Toby said someone was making a similar game to the one he was planning at the time, which a large part of the fandom have theorized to be Omori. It's always such a delight to hear Halfbread share in the madness that is finding meaning in Toby's funny little game and subsequently implanting that madness in my own mind.
Okay I just looked up what Tumblr Flame is and I can't stop laughing at the fact that Toby Fox paid anywhere from $10 to $150 to make dang sure that as many people as possible saw him add creepy piano chords to him editing Randy Newman to say "Friend inside of me".
Alright, everything up to the ribbon bit was tenuous at best, but the ribbon has to at least be a reference, if not something more.
The way the star effect when the girl falls and drops the ribbon looks so similar to when Kris falls into the dark world and drops items is interesting for sure.
Plot twist: Kris jumbled it to say "fin hips red"

I find interesting that Toby put a comment in the undertale website saying "looking for secrets?"(or something like that) and the deltarune website is full of secrets.
What im trying to say is that while undertale was only the game, Deltarune is more. Ots the website, the sweepstakes and now this. Cant wait to see whats next
Also, if the I in the word FRIENDSHIP on the dice bracelet has no vertical bars on the top and bottom, thus making it look like a lowercase L, then FRlENDSHIP can become PlS FIND HER.
I mostly attributed the video to the old aging of a gameboy, since cartridges after a while their saves get unusable, so in a way, she was forgotten, picked up again, only to realize that the save battery is low, thus the glitching and the end credits

I think that the first frames of the clip (two similar (human) figures standing (in complete darkness!!, mind you) to the sides and a bigger creature with huge wings and discernable head and torso in between) are an allusion to the delta rune symbol.
Maybe I missed something (quite possibly), so correct me if I am wrong, but, iirc, we know very little about the meaning of the rune (which is the icon of the game, no less), and I don't see much discussion about this (video idea??).

i think the problem with this theory is that i dont think it gives good enough reason to believe the song is meant to be connected to deltarune at all.
tobys already collabed with itoki hana before, and even though 74 is referenced in welcome to the city, no ones arguing that that song is about deltarune.
it makes me think of how toby was disappointed that people would only think of deltarune as "undertale 2" instead of its own thing. i think toby just wants to make other art with his peers. his work often covers similar themes and ideas in regards to video games and stories, but i dont think that means theyre all connected.
with that in mind, if toby came out tomorrow and said skys forever blue is connected to deltarune, or some future deltarune chapter confirmed dragon blazers was like the world in the song, then i think the rest of the connections hold up pretty well. and i dont think the stuff about the gear even relies on the song to be worth considering. (although, i think noelles kid sprite wore her hair in two ponytails or braids. maybe both sisters did?)
Exactly! Although they talk about similar topics, it doesn't mean that theyre connected. theyre just the themes that Toby Fox likes to explore in his works!

What if the song actually represents how everything "started"? Dess, or the princess in love with the "hero" that is probably Kris, was able to see the "blue sky", in other words "heaven".
Then something like a glitch happened, revealing the truth to both Kris (the hero) and Gaster (the skeleton dragon final boss?).

I came back to this theory after watching the music video for The Greatest Living Show because of some very interesting parallels with the points mentioned in this video. The dancers in dresses have long white pointed faces very reminiscent of Swatchlings, and the main character looks like a young girl wearing all white, which could definitely represent Dess. Most notably though is the final shot with the pink/white ribbon with the single sparkle on it. I don't think it can be a coincidence that this imagery shows up twice. My personal theory is that the circus represents the dark world and the blonde character at its head is Gaster. It shows him corrupting December like he did with Spamton and Jevil. This wouldn't spell good things for the Holiday family because the video ends with some... not so happy things happening to the character in white.
This one is quite a stretch, a lot glitchy visuals being similar can be chalked up to coincidence since the visuals used are very common ways to communicate a glitch. although the katakana makes me raise an eyebrow, it s not enough to convince me. good stuff none the less.

If this is meant to relate to dess, it seems to support the idea that she's the one talking in the 'UNUSED' files (and possibly through spamton somehow), which was already a fairly well-supported theory.
