This car even 14 years later looks like a 60k motor...very rare that cars from 2007 look that good, this was a hella underrated shape by mercedes absolute beast, much better then the equivalent audi r8 or Bentley continental
I remember driving the S class with that engine.... First bit of clear road and before I knew it I was doing 130mph and it honestly felt like I was only doing 30.. so comfortable and so so fast.. mad acceleration when you put your foot down too..
My dad owns one of these and it’s amazing, the engine is soo powerful and I was allowed to rev the engine a couple days ago

I drove 3 of these and ended up bought the one with highest mileage. The car is affordable but not easy to find one with good mechanical condition. The repair bill is very nice if your best friend is not a Mercedes mechanic. If you pick up a CL65 the top model, be prepare for a very high maintenance bill. You can easily drop $5k for one dealer visit.
Super good value unless something big goes wrong. Then it's time to declare bankruptcy I'm afraid....
Older mercs under year 2001 are way more reliable and they're build like tanks

Just because they were "built like tanks" doesn't mean they're reliable. Look to the w140 for evidence. That was classic German. Extremely well made, at the cutting edge of engineering but reliability was never too great, be it a Benz or a beemer. The pre 90s Mercedes are the ones actually built like barges. Evidence of that is that they're still going strong today. So no I'm not a BMW fanboy.

I had one of these in 2007 fully specced night vision heat/cooling seats etc and it was crazy. I used to floor it and it snaked. Real fun machine and still looks great

Being a CL 55 AMG owner, I can tell you that this is a fantastic car to drive. I love the CLs looks, too.
Curiously when you type CL coupe in auto trader it does not appear …. I bought few years ago v12 CL coupe got coil pack issue , the mechanic never succeeded to repair it properly .. cost me a fortune .. sold it … but was very powerful … and looks more beautiful in real than in this video …the distronic was very helpful slowing down the car itself … if the car you follow slows down

I have owned 2 Mercedes Benzes my first one back in 2011 was a 2000clk430 AMG with a high V8 truck engine in a tiny car then my 2nd car was a 2005 E320 RWD. Now I’m like yes the cl63amg is a beautiful car but it’s time for a daily driver because once these cars get over 100km on them that’s it everything starts to go. I’m now wanting a SUV instead
I bought one of these about a year and a half ago and I love it. God bless depreciation. Pricey spares though so you're going to need some cash on the side. If you're budgeting 20k for a car, get one of these monsters and put some money aside for contengency and enjoy your AMG experience
I bought my 2008 last year in May. I absolutely love it, but she has costed me! Had 48,000 miles/one owner when I bought it...figured I was getting a deal. Have already fixed the radiator, oil leak, gas leak, brakes, rotors, and the ABC went out. Spent over $10,000 in the last year. She's a beautiful car though. Head turner for sure

Yes it's a costly car to own, mine had about 90k miles and I have driven about 10k in one year of ownership. I have replaced the fuel pump and ignition coils. Still better than buying a new one for the full price I guess

This model has air suspension not hydraulic air suspension, it can still go wrong but not as often or as exlensive as the W215 cars.

You need to dissappear for 6 years. After 6 years All your info on your credit file drops off it. All your debt is gone....nothing they can do about it. Its difficult, but it can be done. I own a E92 M3 Frozen Silver Edition and a couple of days ago i went to test drive a 2014 C63 amg with performance pack ( never owned an amg ) and honestly i was feeling left disappointed with it, i drove the car for a few minutes slowly and it seemed ok, i then asked if i could test the cars performance and the dealer said sure just be careful, and thats where it went downhill, the traction control light was constantly flickering even though it was dry, the electronics kept interfering to keep the car straight, the gearbox felt felt quite slow on upshifts aswell as clangy, the handling is pretty much non existent some body roll & twitchyness, the only good thing was the engine which sounded great, i cant imagine what these two are like compared with the C63 as these are heavier, if you have 18k to spend on a car and you want a v8 and to go in a straight line then these will be great for you but if you like actual corners then look elswhere, theres a lot better choices to be had i promise !
You went test drive a c63 or a cl63?
The C63 AMG was never made to tackle corners at high speeds and people who buy them don't care about such.

What? Dude theres no way you were dissapointed with a CL63. I had a E92 M3, RS5 B8 and now a CL63. I was shopping for a C63 or CL. Went with the CL because i got older and facelifted C63 (which i wanted to buy, not the the pre facelift), are insanely expensive in Germany. Not to have under 35k€. So i went with the CL63 but i have driven two pre facelifted C63 for a test.
The CL63 engine is even more violent than the C63. (457 HP vs 525hp). It just kicks you in the back as soon as the torque is there. My E92 M3 was not even REMOTELY close ... it twas the absolutely most underperforming V8 engine i have ever driven. You did not feel any torque, the tachometer lies to you by like 20 km/h driving 200 km/h (which gets many m3 owners fooled their car is fast), just use a GPS Device and see the real speed you will shit bricks.
The only positive was : The Manual Gearbox, the lighter Chassis. But driving daily was a lot more fun in the CL63, especially because of the low rev rumble sound and shitload of torque which lets you spin the wheel whenever you feel. Also lowering can be done with a 250$ electronic box . No need for expensive coilovers or whole suspensions (since it has a airride).
The E92 M3 was the worst of the three (RS5, M3, C63) and hell if i hear someone say its a good car for its price ... i may kill myself because i can't stand that absolute disinformation. Its a good collectors car, but the RS , C63 are far superior, except you really need a manual gearbox. Its the only point that speaks for it. But then again theres the first gen M4 which is 1000% better than the E92 M3 and is also manual. So theres no reason to get the E92 M3 for its engine, for everything else yes, but the engine is the absolute worst of all 3 cars.
C63 is not CL63
Audi W12 would be a good motor to compare.

Statistics speak for itself it depends on what car you want really...you want a fast family car you’d buy the S8 V10, if you want a fast two door coupé you’d buy the SL63
Little Man Cars purely for performance and value for money, the s8 is a rival. Both cars have big engine, a lot if equipment and can both be picked up for less than 20k. That to me makes then rivals in there own right.

Budget to buy as it costs soooo damn much to run a 6.2 v8. And then theres general maintenance, brake alone gonna cost £1000 or more, so if you are not a mechanic its going to be costly to keep.

Great car, but the maintenance is extremely expensive. Bought one a year ago. I've spent over $10,000 in repairs already.... definitely don't drive it every day

@@clickzy8686 yup. In a year, I had a few issues, including my suspension system going out. It's VERY costly. But the car is a head turner... absolutely loved mine. Fast, big, luxury... so many great things about the car. Just make sure to have a big savings to fix the issues!!!
