    Jay was my friend. He played in Salina Kansas and I always had him and his band with Paul and Claude over to my house for dinner. I loved these guys! They are national treasures that I will honor for all time! I can only say I was blessed to meet such wonderful musicians! I love them for ever!

    Great work, but where are Mary Lou Williams, Pete Johnson- many others? You can’t tell everyone’s story, but more names for people to learn about could have been included.
