$5 for that suitcase WOW what a bargain buy, that butterfly plate is really nice, so too is that heavy green bottle, you got some real bargains Don. I had my first refund scammer who bought an item about 2.5 months ago, they said they didn't recognise the transaction, and she has been refunded by her credit card company, but luckily eBay did cover me as I didn't do anything wrong. Everything was tracked, and a picture of the delivery into the hands of the buyer. I soon blocked her, why do credit companies refund these people when the seller has proof that the buyer had got the item literally in their hands. Really great to see you again, thank you, Don. Don I went from watching a truly tedious and scripted eBay-ass-kissing eBay Open and then went to this video. I am breathing a sigh of relief to feel in a truly real seller community I've found from your Patreon and Prime Time's Facebook group. Thank you for not being an eBay commercial but a real person supporting your family.

Keep getting email from EB for those. Watching the top dogs like Don coupled w/the EB mistakes that blow my mind! e.g. W/outdated PC knowledge & 9 years of database mgt. that ENDED in 2018 (!!)…my level of knowledge should NEVER, ever be able to spot the EB errors-UGH-that I experience weekly. Still the EB opens kinda tugs to cause me wonder if skipping is the right thing. TY! Your description was perfect, and you saved me time!

Fun video! You gotta give your kids money for those scholastic book sales at school! Every time my kids came home with the order forms, I would say “already?” Jewelry is hard to sell online even if they are signed. I thought that gold filled meant it was covered with gold. Gold over silver is called vermeil and comes off over time. You scored on that coal shovel and it’s functional!

The clear and green art glass bottle may have come from the Libbey Glass warehouse. I bought a similar vase in the late 1990s from there. Mine is purple inside with the clear glass outside and a flat ground off smooth bottom with no makers label. I assumed Libbey was making them since I bougt from their warehouse, but I don't know for sure. I have never really seen Libbey Art Glass anywhere.

ALWAYS. .nice to randomly run into amazing stuff when you're out & about... in the Los Angeles area we just don't have stuff that's old enough, very transient population...
With a few exceptions much of our housing stock is just too old, a lot of the just after turn of the century stuff, were very small starter homes 800 to a thousand square feet.. built in interesting pockets of development.. when they got done building Pasadena, the same Carpenters came into the area.. in dining room - would find some of the most amazing herring bone patterned wood floors... every kitchen was built on site, might have just been spruced or pine, in nicer areas Maybe Oak, mahogany... fireplaces with Bachelor tile surrounds.. sometimes Malibu tile in strips... bathrooms kitchens, inset into flooring tile.. I did pick up a piece of Malibu tile 8x8, for $2 last year, I think it's worth $400..
Of course in the Inglewood California area due to the Redevelopment of the fabulous forum the new SOFI stadium at the old racetrack & a few other really interesting exciting things, those little tiny old houses are close to a million dollars if they haven't been ripped down.. most of the yuppies got priced out of the West side & they've come east, reinvigorating older areas of town.. all the way to downtown the Harbor Freeway, some scarier areas-- 30 years ago, you could buy some of the most amazing stuff estate sales yard sales, Leimert Park, we also have areas in some of the Hills just north of Inglewood that are worth small fortunes, many business owners, built custom homes.. some Spanish style, some mid-century modern...
Some of them can be an absolute nightmare because of the new improved building codes with Hillside Construction codes .. much of Hollywood Hills - you have to drive pylons down until you hit bedrock.. especially adjacent to the oil fields, Kenneth Hahn, View Park - Baldwin Hills.. some have more crazier than others HOA's some don't, nothing's less than a million dollars, quite a bit more if they've been extensively modernized, all the Mechanicals fixed, new roofs double double-pane glass, kitchens bathrooms...
of course most flippers do poor job...
To squeeze the most out of lots many of them only have about 10 ft between housing stock especially if the garage is at the front...
Many neighborhoods have become much more ethnically diverse... my neighborhood is looking like a Noah's Ark of populous, it's always look that way, one of the reasons I bought on my street, we have one or two of everything..
My folks's house in upper Ladera Heights, went for I think a million 2, total scraper.. lower Ladera consists of many mid-century modern custom homes, many owned by business owners, celebrities, inventors... huge smart brain Trust.... I had a neighbor just down the block that held the patent for those waxy milk cartons...
Adjacent the city of Culver City, around Jefferson Blvd - portions were known as Gasoline Alley, lots of racing shops, Eskadarian cams, Traco, Guldstrand engineering, did a lot of Corvettes, Dick when he was younger also raced.. bordered by the Hughes aircraft with its own airstrip, I think they built the Spruce Goose there now it's all high-end development now..
Howard Hughes also owned patents, brassieres, Foundation garments - apparently he was enamored, with some of the beauties of the 50s 60s.. the company patented lots of things, they also paid for advanced degrees, for employees, I think that's how my dad got his master's at UCLA..
The beauty of your place is you have land around, no close Neighbors.. along with the wonderful house that came with the property... your own free standing warehousing...LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES..

08:02 I"d bet that's Italian. Cased glass with a seriously polished base @crazylamplady (bet she knows where that came from) ... I just know enough to get into trouble. 23:55 Not enamel - butterfly wing, real butterfly and in awesome shape. If moisture gets in there the blue turns brown and yucky. Not made any more naturally. The gold-filled and onyx earrings look like some I have. VanDell, 1950s, especially since they're 14kgf which might push them into the 60s or even later. The locket might be gold over sterling, if you're lucky. The bracelet? Score! I've hit bigger gold scores at yard sales, but for 50 cents... Okaythanksbye!

15:33 Local tapestry handbag. One "niche" that many many reseller's MISS is "local ephemera" . RIGHT ON about what you said : "My mother / grandmother / aunt helped make these !" usually happens more often than not. I have sold match books from local restaurants for $25.00 from people that said "My grandfather owned that diner!" and such. And sometimes it back-fires! I had an old paper bag from a Pharmacy from upstate NY , probably 1950s. Bag had the name . phone number etc. of the proprietor , So I get a message "Hi, my name is_____ and that was my grandfather's drug store. We even named my Son after him. We do not have much to remember my grandfather by-- would you consider taking any LESS for the paper bag?" . I said "No." Never heard from the person ever again. Price of the bag : $21.99 .

hey Don I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem,… today is October 10th 2023 for the past few days I'm unable to scan an items after hours. Gives a message saying to take to front counter during regular business hours?! I’m mostly mailing Ground 6x6x6 4 ounces and 12x10 12 ounces. I’ve scanned in roughly 200 packages this exact size this year. A few people discussing the issue in reddt. Have you or anyone else heard anything?! Thanks
