Hey Logan, loving this new series! Tire reviews can be very subjective, but I think you did a great job trying to make it as objective as possible! Looking forward to future videos! Thank you for taking the time to put this together!
I run the tusks on all my rigs. They are hands down the best overall tire I have found. Wet/dry/dirty/clean I found it doesn’t matter they just find traction and go. I’m on the east coast so our rock is definitely different but still same results you got in this video. Awesome test and it great that you’re keeping everything the same as for inserts/wheels and truck.
Absolutely love the effort you put into all your videos and this tire test series is already proving to be awesome. Great job brotha. Interesting selection of tires you choose also.
Dude that was a freakin awesome video. I loved every minute of it. Great idea with the chalk lines to ensure the same tires placement. Also it’s sick you were able to get a matching set of wheels. Great video, I can’t believe how much better those tusks were. Great video man 👍🏼
Excellent video. Not surprised that the Tusks did so well but definitely surprised that the Geolandar did so poorly. This is a very interesting series. Stoked to see the other reviews.
The tusk is by far the best tire I have / use on my 1/24, tackles many terrains with ease. My second favourite are my pats, although they perform best in dry clean rocks. Looking forward to seeing the larger scale Patagonia’s and the Krawlers for a possible TRX Sport upgrade.
You seem to have captured and standardized every detail for this tire test series. Great job and I'm very excited for the rest of the series. The Tusks blew those Geolanders out of the water!
Dang I was hoping the geolandars did better! Those are the tires I have on my actual truck and I love them on rocks. I’ll probably still do a scale build using those tires anyways. As always great video man love them!
Thanks! Looking forward to the whole series. Not suprised with the results this time, I love my Tusks and Squid'nserts combo. When you finish the series maybe we can get a 1.9 tall tire comparisson between the Proline Trep and the Vanquish VXT2?
@@westdesertwheeler I just did my own tire tests with your cut n shuts I picked up before I left. The Krawlers g8 won round one on the rocks here. 😁. Can’t wait to see how they stack up head to head on the rocks there.
I expected a better showing from the Red compound but I'm not at all surprised it got beat by the Tusk. They, like Krawlers, are proven to work on most if not all terrain. There is a reason they can't keep them in stock Awesome video and well executed and articulated. Looking forward to more matchups!!
Thanks Man! I definitely liked the vanquish tires I’ve ran before, I still think it’s a worthy tire to own. But the tusk and Krawler had to start against someone I wanted it to be a good matchup round 1. I appreciate the feedback!
Boy I've been waiting for this I have been noticing it and saying it for a while if the lug is too soft it seems like they roll over too much and it just fights traction
Cool video, good info. I can't wait to see what unfolds. Running Tusk on the Capra. From socal desert, Tusk works well. Be cool to see Tusk vs. Hyrax on the Red Rocks. Stay safe
I have the Vanquish VXT2's and those tires on the Fordyce... but seeing this video I'm all over getting a set of Tusks (but of course they're out of stock). I do have several sets of JConcepts Ruptures though, which I've had good luck with. I'm eager to see the rest of the test!
Awesome review👌 What would you recommend... I'm on the fence getting the Tusk " baja pro xs" I'm currently running Aztek in predator compound I like them now that the brake-in is done. A little more side bite would help in some situation.
From what I have seen Jay concept makes one of the best tires out there I'm just keeping it real is there other tires that can compete with him yeah of course but I kind of thought to tusk would come out on top
Really surprised to see such a difference between the two! I’ve been leaning more toward my JConcepts Landmines over my proline hyrax in predator lately because they just seem to hook better when it’s down to a tire compound difference like on slick rock. I’d be really curious to see what kind of difference you could show on a hot vs cold day and how temperature effects traction with these tires. I know when I was driving a rig and it was below 0°F outside traction really suffered from what I see when it’s 60°+
I don't run my 3 brothers antifoams because they make all my crawlers act the same way yours in video did. They make trucks bounce way too hard especially when you need to give wheels some speed truck bounces hard. I would like to see same tires with a crawler innovation dual stage foam insert and see how different it would be. You can even have a antifoam in one hand and regular in the other and drop both of them on table and it shows you the same thing that the truck does.
Hello. Great review. What do you think about the performance of JConcepts Tusk compared to Pro-Line Hyrax? You can include Hyrax in the comparative review.
In MI here, and Tusk dominate. Red compound tears too easily for me. Sometimes it feels like the west coast areas just default to the west coast companies.
I like the Geolandars for trail running vs climbing. The Tuska really did knock out the Geolandars here. I'm enjoying this test series. Thanks!
The myth busters would be proud. Good video dude.
Thanks man. It’s a lot more work than my normal stuff
I love tires and have been excited for your test series!!!

Nice video and work on this!
Tusk FTW. Thank you WDW and all sponsors for this great unbiased test. Keep 'em coming.
I love my Tusks, they are great on rock and mud as well.
Thanks Logan for bringing this to us. I can’t wait for the other comparison really enjoyed it.
I like this series hope it continues good job
Brilliant video 👍
Best tyre comparison there is.
Great test. Looking forward to more of these. 🍻

Totally excited for this series!!! I like the way your doing it with elimination rounds
Thanks.....I love this information, clear and accurate. Fans from MALAYSIA RC ROCK CRAWLER.
Very impressive tire comparison. Looking forward to the next comparisons of your...big thanks 👌
Now this is how you test tires! Great video, Logan. Looking forward to the rest.
Great video! Look forward to seeing the rest of the tires!
Great series! Keep them coming!

Looks to me that the Geolandar tires will make for a great trail truck tire. Thanks for the video. :)
Good vid and nice comparison. Excited to see the rest.

3 of my 6 crawlers run tusks. Great tire.southwest Washington area.

Hello hello excited to see the new VP tire!!
The tusks have worked out for my custom rig awesome.but my go to is the km3 crawlers.they work on any of my rigs.
Great topic.
Legit system for testing, and really good video. The obstacles you chose to test on were perfect! I can’t wait for more videos in this series!
Excellent video, Logan! Very informative, well thought out, and beautifully executed! Really looking forward to the rest of the series
Thank you I appreciate that!
Excellently thought out for repeatable comparisons and entertaining! Thanks Logan!
Thanks! Courses will change through the series but always head to head

That’s a surprising result!
I wasn’t surprised at all. The tusk is a great tire
@@Vanquishfanboy I’ve never used a tusk, I always thought it was just hype. But now I’d have to agree with you, it looks like a great tire!
Great tire comparison. One of the best I've seen. I would suggest throwing weights in to the informational section.
Sick first gen raptor I see 😎

Great review, run tusk on my Capra and love them. Stay safe and how's the weather in St George heading there in a few days
Definitely glad I didn’t spend the money on the vanquish tire. I love the tusks for sure. I run them on all of my rigs.

Oh crap i just installed the geolandars on my rig havnt ran them yet im hoping my terrain is more suited for them. Great vid and comparison sir.
They are not bad tires. Definitely give them a shot
@@westdesertwheeler I got them based on how their falkens do which are amazing. I'm gonna get them a try I appreciate you for the reply good sir.

Have you ever ran the proline mickey Thompson in the g8
Great tire test j concepts win round 1
If you had to pick between the Tusks and the Megalithics which one would you go with?
Haven’t owned megalithics I’d go tusks but I think both are ugly
Hello. Great review. What do you think about the performance of JConcepts Tusk compared to Pro-Line Hyrax? You can include Hyrax in the comparative review.
Haven’t run hyrax much. Hyrax won’t be in this bracket
Are those aluminum or plastic axles?
I'm putting my money on the Tusks to win this battle and the entire bracket!
Tusks pulled the W on this one.
90% of guys here on the east coast run Tusk for comps.
What about the Ruptures? My set should be arriving tomorrow and wondering if maybe the Tusk wouldn’t be a better option?
In MI here, and Tusk dominate. Red compound tears too easily for me. Sometimes it feels like the west coast areas just default to the west coast companies.
@@brianmassey7563 MI native myself. ✋🏼
Red compound isn't that good is what I got from this.
