@@valyarbro3572 I mean they are bad in some places but I don't know what it is about Oklahoma roads. The stretch from Arkansas to Oklahoma City on interstate 40 has been under construction since I was a child, I am no longer a child.
Drove semis for 17 years and also was a road instructor at a truck driving school. I will tell you that you can learn backing and turns in ATS. It is very realistic. You do have to setup the game correctly though to make it feel right. You have to setup the brakes to be less responsive and make the trailer less stable in turns. Also you have to move your view forward it is not in the correct place. Even with the seat all the way back you don't have to lean forward to look out the left window.

Yeah, I feel that the large amount of assets that the game needs to cache in is really making the engine struggle. Can't tell you the amount of temporary freezes I've dealt with both in ETS2 and ATS. Not much of a problem in older maps, especially the OLDEST ones. I'm hoping the engine upgrade coming next year (at the earliest) will, hopefully, relieve the many lag spikes we've been dealing with for a while now.
Hey Jeff added a LOT to my map in ATS,I got Coast to coast awhile back,I also have midwest expansion,US 24 extension,San Rafael and a few others,so now I have plenty of road to cover

The issue with the AI vehicles is that they all follow certain rules and if those rules are not thought out completely there would be problems with functionality. So, poor AI vehicles it's not entirely their fault you know. Nonetheless, it's always really funny to hear Jeff quarrelling with the AI vehicles lol. 😂😅😊
Also, I would really like to see SCS improve the graphics engine, seriously, like Unreal Engine 5.1 or later you know. It's like, why SCS, why. Just do it already.

Im in 1.49, any graphics mods will make it crash, scs changed the skybox system, weather mods a no go, grimes will have to do serious redo to his graphic mods to be updated to 1.49, traffic mods dont work either but most others will . I have problems at all, Kansas comes out nov 30 th

Jazzy cats and traffic maniac traffic mods has been crashing for me. Jazzy cat just updated his traffic pack for 1.49 and still crashes . I’m not happy with the update.

The truck sounds like a regular Cummins in any semi truck it to me it does not have that old school slower start up sound it’s still a really cool freaking truck. I just wish they would the starting sound a little bit to sound like a 3406 caterpillar something
I like all of your truckings and convoys videos but, it would be even greater if had more real natural weather hazards like warnings outbreaks.
ever thought of checking your game log for the mods that are crashing your game on 1.49
New veiwer here can anyone tell me good settings for IR tracker, i always get settings wrong and strain my neck or feel sick using it. Need to get the settings right 😀

all i had to do was take all my mods out and then restart my pc then put ll my mods back in and it fixed my problem

It might be the autumn mod, but there is one pick up truck you have that crashed my game, it's not the Dodge Ram by Ruda but the Ford i think it was a F350 that kept crashing my game. Might wanna yank that truck out and see. Also you might want to change these setting in your config file, uset r_color_saturation "-35.0"
Hey, which wheel adapter did you buy from ATSAccessories? Thrustmaster 300 and 500 to SCI? or TMX and 150 to SCI? Because nothing is listed as compatible with Thrustmaster T818
Thrustmaster only has one style of adapter piece so the thrustmaster is all you need

Love watching these vids while I play Truck sim myself lol. A question though, which 18 speed shifter addon would you recommend for the Logitech G Driving Force Shifter? There's a lot of choices that i've seen when it comes to that which makes it difficult to choose.

Hi Jeff love the video about the stutters try resetting your Bios to Default setting that's how I got rid off stutters also I wouldn't recommend using nvidia profile inspector or gefarce experience because there 3d party apps that can cause that in ATS also in the nvidia control panel use default setting as well and change configure surround physics to your nvidia card instead of automatic under Adjust image setting with preview select let the 3d application decide and save setting s. Set monitor to your highest refresh rate then open game go to graphics and set it to ultra and put scaling to 400% and anti ailing to Ultra in game use vsynce and set to 60hz but first try setting your bios back to Default setting oh and use high performance in power options and also if you over clocked your CPU or GPU undo that's cause High Performance will boost the clock speed automatically this is how I fixed the stutters now my game runs smoother that a Baby Butt even if I run it at my highest refresh rate which is 300hz but using 60hz in game will help CPU temps to run cooler.
Another great trip, Jeff. I use the Johnny Cash engine sound pack and truck sounds pack from the workshop. Have you ever used those ones? Did you like them?

I think the frame drops are a mod, I have a much lower spec than you and almost never have a frame stutter, and only very minor when I do. I only use a few mods so that’s why I’m thinking that. Either way, good to have a new ATS video 👍

Their modeling has gotten better, it's so good and I'm so happy for SCS.😮

My ats game kept crashing and I had to deactive all my Mods where I don't have any active to get the game to work for 1.49 beta
I would love to get the signal lever and the high/low and range buttons for the shifter. Using the keyboard is a pain. :)
Love the video, good to hear the live stream went well. As someone from the Lawton OK area, that US 70 & US 81 intersection is never that busy, even after a Friday night home football game. 😂 That OK 7 stretch from Duncan, very accurate.

The traffic density mod and the municipal police mod was causing my crash if you use those other then that 1.49 run fine for me

When you use TrackIR do you turn off up and down. I have it on. Also I seem to have to reset it during trip, when I go to the outside view or adjust my seating. The AI seem to have a problem with 4 ways stops and Roundabouts (in ETS2). People real life have the same problems. :)
Yeah I had to turn it off because it’s jarring to viewers. When I am play on my own I use it or VR.
@@jfavignano VR is next. I have the Quest 2 but my gaming computer is still win7. Before I bought the Quest 2 the reviews said it worked in Win7, but by the time I bought it it did not anymore. :)

I'm waiting for the release of 1.49 before I use it myself. But all reviews of it are very positive. Especially the sky boxes and performance.
The new skyboxes and new weather system in v1.49 open beta is great , and beta is very stable
