Wrong ethnicity wise Baltis are Tibetan with little Dardic admixture..why you try to act Dardic when even you language is Tibetan in origin? One should not disown ones origin..
Balti are Tibetan not dardic..they have little gene flow from dards so look a little different from Tibetan but actually are Tibetan their language and looks are very similar to Tibetan

Wani means you seem to be a Kashmiri migrant. Otherwise Kargil and Ladakh as a whole have nothing to do with Kashmir. Our cultural heritage is from Tibet and religiously Kargil is the only Shia-dominated district in India.

Linguistically, even in Delhi when I hear two Tibetans talking I feel a proximity to our language, even in the case of two northeastern. But when two Dardi or Kashmiris are talking I literally don't understand a single word. Purgi ka Dardi ya Kashmiri se door ka bhi koi wasta nahi hai. You can even refer to books for confirmation.

Your are so wrong about Gilgit. It isn't Tibetan at all it isn't even remotely related to Tibet. The Gilgit Baltistan region has two different regions like in Jammu and Kashmir there are two different areas Jammu where dogras live and kashmir where kashmiri lives. They are both different. Similarly in Gilgit Baltistan there are two regions Gilgit and Baltistan the Baltistan region is related to ladakhi and Tibetan but Gilgit is totally different they are Gligitis who are Indo Aryan people and speak Dardic (shina) language even kashmiri is a Dardic language.. Gilgits also known as shina people are more related to pashtun and Kashmiris than Baltis although the Baltis have got some gene flow from Gilgitis due to some intermixing over centuries still they are totally different in general appearance and language wise miles apart. Shina language and Balti/Ladakhi share 0.01% words...

Hi I am from Shina ethnic group from kargil district. Shina population in kargil is only around 10% of the total and almost entirely concentrated in Drass Tehsil. 90% of kargil is Balti/Purgi and they are mostly shia muslims. Drass Tehsil is only Shina majority area in entire kargil district and whole Ladakh also it is the only Sunni majority in Ladakh. Drass valley is home to 90% of shina population in Ladakh/kargil the rest of 10% are also immigrants from Drass settled in different parts of kargil and Ladakh.. Shina are mostly Sunni Muslim while Purgi/Balti are mostly shia muslim..

That's a misconception, we all actually abandoned our old Bonn religion but we still respect our old beliefs irrespective of religion. Later some people got influenced to Budhism and some to Shia Islam.
If you dig into past you will find one religion taking it from other.....
But it is not the same people who are getting converted..... Religion got changed in Generations ......
