I did this kind of shit in the last level. *spoilers*. Just killing the cultists with a pickaxe, kneecaping them with pistols and bats. Throwing them down stairs. Brings a tear to my eye.
Shovel is top tier, you can stab, slash, and it’s also a blunt weapon (and it/ in the blunt category) it has a Handel on the end to help with some stabs and you can dig some nulls their graves all in one neat weapon.
Bastard sword is what we call a 1 and a half handed sword, you don't get why there are miltiple swords, but that's why, each one, is used differently, the one handed sword is used with a shield, the bastard sword can be switched being being used with a shield or two handed on the fly and the two handed sword, is used two handed, the bastard sword is my pick because of it's versatility.
A rapier woul be cool indeed. For me, if there was a missing melee weapon on the goofier side of things. A business style briefcase. So you can Pretend to be GMan while beating people up and to be John Wick while using it like a shield with the Glock.
Fun fact: the bottom part if the base ball bat can deal damage. Also if you hold the part where it starts to slim down, swing it around and it kills fast.

Imo the combat knife throws great, the best technique is to focus on spin rather than speed to guarantee the blade to stick in the target but make sure the blade actually makes it to the destination, slow motion is a great way to practice, press the button once or twice not thrice because it's too slow, and then watch the knife go in someone's skull like butter.

putting the doublesided axe in f teir was a crying shame. flip it upside down, grip it with one hand near the axe head, punch with it on the bottom, stab with it on the top. best weapon.
In the levels with the robots that shoot you,there is usually trash cans next to shelter where you can use the lid as a shield(or you can use the trash can to put it over your head but you can’t very well😑
The combat knife is great when you dual wield it with a pistol, and my usual go to blunt weapon is the sledgehammer, and the crowbar..they both deal tons of damage and you can sort of use them as climbing hooks
Viking shield saved my ass in the mod map Escape from Torquay. I was Rebecca from Cyberpunk Edgerunners and I was able to turtle myself between the shield and a wall to block bullets while i stabbed out at crablets.

Some of the weapons you put in lower tiers are categorized historically, and in the case of the B-word sword, many weapons nerds might even be happier that that exact vocabulary was used when referring to it. Some weapons, like the warhammer, were made to be effective through armor (i.e. dent the helmet to break the skull beneath), so if you fight nothing with realistic armor in this game, it'll lose value... so if they ever add, say, a knight in plate armor for you to fight, and your normal blunt or bladed weapons just do nothing against them, it could be realistic to have the warhammer or similar weapons as a counter. Never tried the game myself, but should they have an enemy like that, it would also be interesting to see if you can more easily fight armored targets if you half-sword, or even use your sword as a warhammer and bash them with the hilt (IIRC, this is a real thing, because going for cuts on plate armor is in the vast majority of cases a waste of time). The warhammer would have it's uses then... but it sounds like the lack of any real enemies that require armor penetration could leave other weapons superior by a wide margin. And of course, the game has GUN.
Katar is great since the way you hold it allows you to easily stab ford by taking out their legs and arms when you’ve strapped them to a wall so you can torture them without killing them
@@thebobanator531 after that I usually traumatize ford by spawning more fords so I can kill those in order to force the one strapped to a wall to watch the violent slaughtering
@@thebobanator531 I just wanted to say that I love the baton, I feel so tactical when I pair it with the mk18 holo foregrip, the eder22 and the combat knife. Just going through big anomaly or street puncher with that loadout just makes me feel awesome, try it sometime

i use the longest guns i can find AS SWORDS BECAUSE THEY ARE SOMEHOW STRONGER 1 i shoot for mid/long range 2 i just throw or stab enemies with it for close range i use the bage and black gun idk what its called when my ammo runs out i throw it at enemies dealing small damage

I think bullets pierce wood in boneworks and bonelab, hence why the viking shield doesn't block bullets but the trash can lid does.

Shields are good for the turrets because they aim for the head only

2: vending machine

I'm late, but the point of a Bastard sword is to be one hand friendly and two hand friendly

The katana is also the strongest weapon in Bonelab doing over 2 million damage when slicing!
