Thank you for your amazing video and it really helps me a lot! I will move into Canada Water next week, and as an international student I have a lot luggage but my room is on 6th floor in block B. I wonder if you know that is there any elevator which I can use to help me carry my luggage to 6th floor in this building? That means a lot to me! Thanks a ton!🌞
Hey! No worries at all, I'm so glad it was helpful 🤍 Yes, there are lifts on every corner of each building so you will have no problem! When I was moving in, they also had little trolleys available so you could put your luggage on those and make it even easier! I hope your move-in goes well, and that you enjoy living in Canada Water
@@kyliesakura Thank you so much for your information! ❤️ I’m also curious that is there WiFi in Canada Water and if yes, how can I know the password for this WiFi? Appreciate it!

Hi! I’m a student from the US and will be living here over the summer. I’m curious if you know if everyone gets their own bathroom, and how many people do you share the kitchen with? Thanks!! Great video 🌞
tysm 🌟!! Whether or not you share a bathroom will just depend on if you book an ensuite/studio, or if you book a shared apartment / twin room in which case you'd share with someone else! My kitchen was shared between 8 people, but I've heard of flats that had to share between up to 12 sometimes!! So i think it just depends on the layout of your flat 😊 I hope you have a great time living here!
Hi, love ur vid! Btw, living at the end of the hall does it mean u can hear people going from your flat to other flats, as there’s a door that connects the flats which the room at the far end would be near to
Hey if my unit is on room number 2, would you say that is in the edge of the flat or no? Cz I’m really scared of the noise. Also how many people do you share a kitchen with?
I think it depends on the flat layout! But I am pretty sure this would be sandwiched between Room 1 and 3 so probably not on the edge. Noise should be okay - my neighbour was just particularly loud 🤣 I shared a kitchen with 8 people but I've heard some rooms had to share between like 12 people 💀
@@kyliesakura ahh I see, thank you for the information. Do you know where to get information such as the flat layout? I checked their website but I was unable to get it
@@aud2834 No worries! I don't think the flat layouts are publically available, I only found out about them by living there. Maybe you could email Scape?
@@kyliesakurais it noisy living at the far end because it has a door that ppl can open to go to other flats, ie if ur living far from the kitchen but rlly close to the door that connect other flats, would ppl use that door a lot and can u hear them
@@hollyli9651 This is a great question Holly - so that door, we learned, is actually not meant to be used to get to each other's flats! It's actually more of a fire safety / maintenance ease of access door, and so can't actually be opened using our keycards. Our two flats had lots of mutual friends so some people sneakily placed a shoe to keep that door open so they could go through it! Because of that, it was maybe a little noisy, but hopefully that shouldn't really be happening... When people did use that door as well, it set off an alarm which would beep continuously non-stop and so many times we had to call reception to come and turn it off. That was honestly the worst part! But again, that alarm happens because that door isn't actually meant to be used by the students! I hope that helped 😊
@@hollyli9651 So the maintenance people can open with their cards and, I wasn't really involved so I'm not 100% sure, but I think it just didn't close properly at one point and my flatmates took that advantage haha :p
Hii..lovee the video. I am planning to move here in September and have a few questions, would love if you could help me out. Is the accom centrally heated and if yes, is it warm enough to walk around in shorts inside the building? Is student accommodation life more fun in general as compared to living in a flat, since you’re going to be living with so many people? Cause I have lived in an individual flat before with just two other flatmates and was bored out of my mind. How is Canada Water as a place to live in general for college students? Are there some good places to go nearby? Thank you sooo much
Hi there! I'm so glad you liked it 😊 I don't know about central heating specifically, but every room has a radiator, and you could definitely walk around in shorts as long as the windows aren't open 🤣. The rooms get cold fast if they are, but otherwise I think it's quite well insulated. I haven't experienced living in private accommodation, but I 100% would imagine that student accomm gives you a better foundation for fun socials and events. Canada Water always held multiple social events weekly! And if you get on with your flatmates, sharing the kitchen and using the communal facilities will be so fun! I loved living in Canada Water as a location - so good for students. Good transport links, there's a Printworks (club), rock climbing, Surrey Quays shopping mall, library, and a Sunday Market, just to name a few things! I was going to make a video about the area actually, so I will get on that if it's something that would be useful! 💫🌟 I hope this was helpful, feel free to let me know if you have any more questions that I can try answer! If you do end up living here in September, I hope you have the best time! 💐

Fridge space was not really an issue, but freezer space was! In my kitchen, there were 3 fridges: 2 'big' ones, and 1 small one. There were 8 of us sharing the kitchen. There were 4 shelves in the 2 big fridges, so everybody got 1 each, and that was fine! The space was more than enough, and I don't think anyone else had issues with it. The freezer space was definitely such a squeeze though! My other flatmate ended up using the tiny extra mini fridge as storage space for pots and pans, by turning the power off. Although, as I mention in the video, I am pretty sure that my kitchen was bigger than most people's because it was intended to accommodate a disabled user. I don't think many other flats had that extra mini fridge, and also might have been shared with more than 8 people but with the same amount of fridge space 😬💀
