Hey Neil, enjoying the vlogs. Backhand looking good in the highlights here keep it up. For the long pips, It's always hard to say exactly but if you spin and they block it instead of chop it, it should still have backspin, but it won't be loaded. It will depend on the pips and sponge though. Also body language is a lot better, though I guess these are highlights!

Again Neil regarding your bh I think you would benefit from a more tacky rubber. I had the same problem with Tenergy in that against topspin shots it would rebound off the end of the table. My tacky rubber absorbs the spin much better and I find it much easier to control, even heavy topspin. Your slow spinny fh loops are very consistent now, very stylish to watch too!! Enjoyed the vlog mate, I think I may try one of these tournaments myself at some point.

I think against the Long Pips guy, he was likely using pips with sponge which is a bit more unpredictable.

Definite progress, much sharper in your shots and game management, and whilst you still have some work to do on your backhand (both mental and technique), there is definitely progress.

@@DavidSimpson-cd5tq thanks David. A few people have commented that I just need some belief in it now. Will keep working and just need lots of time hitting backhands

My advice for succesfully adding spin to your backhand on a floatier ball is close the bat and accelerate a little more through. Same shot but the closed angle and acceleration will give you the arc to get it on the table. In a match it requires a lot of confidence because it's a riskier shot. Its actually what you are doing on your forehand loops because you set up the bat lower and use your body which closes the angle more naturally. You dont think about it on your forehand. If in doubt just drive it but against better players they may like that. Practice driving and occasionally more aggressive loops off same balls. For what it's worth just my opinion.

If troubled by serve try a short pimple rubber eg. Dms Spinfire.

Hi, You play so good in this tournament, I always watch your video, I have to say you got an improvement on your back hand👍, in the past match, your back hand is quite weak, the power not concentrate. I wish you could success in the coming match.
