It's because they clearly ran her tags and pulled her over with no legal basis (tinted windows is not valid grounds). Normally, US police can act like this with impunity, abuse their authority, and toy with people, without consequences. It's not a good idea to do this to the chief prosecuting officer who represents the state in criminal cases, however, as she knows the law and can punish them for their abuse of it. So the big deal is that they're treating her like any other citizen and abusing their power - but they got caught by someone with a lot more power than them. US police are not like European police, there's a lot of fear and suspicion of police in the US.
I thought the same thing. So they ran her tags and pulled her over. Big deal. But ok, if you need legal basis and they didn't have one... I wonder what they would have done if she wasn't who she is. They still would have to produce a legal basis for the entire thing. Would they just try to write a ticket for something they made up on the spot? Edit: i read up on this. She didn't press charges because the stop was perfectly legal. No abuse of anything. So it looks like she thought she was being racially profiled, but wasn't, at least from a legal standpoint.
@@tonypaellaI mean, they ran her tags and they came back clean, so they decided to pull her over because there was no evidence of anything wrong and they thought that was weird? @Dejan Luca Dejan Luca you get it; your not as stupid as your argument suggest. the stop was ILLEGAL, cops not suppose to run license plates without probable cause, ie traffic accident, speeding, etc. so your right they routinely break the law, and that has everything to do with abuse of power. Im not from the USA but whats the big deal about the police pulling over a state attorney? Shouldnt she be treated the same as anyother citizen?
Ikr
Exactly.
Yeah, they're technically allowed to do that, but let's be honest, if she wasn't who she is, that stop would have gone a lot differently.
The way she started smiling when he said her windows were too dark...
Had me rolling. I know that look. I have done that exact look lol
Oh hey my step dad got a ticket for the same thing...
@Dejan Luca Dejan Luca yeah but its the fact that he said we tag everything first he was trying to think of reasons
@@Roughdog86 well like he said, the tags didn’t come back and the tint was too dark? How were they supposed to know that she was the attorney?
@@nalyd6386 Ok. This is why I don't have tint on my car windows because of this but cops can't pull you over for dark tint.
If she wasn't the state attorney, she'd be accused of phony plates. The car would have been searched.....
Its been 7 years and still funny 😂😂
@aditpratama1514 Yeh she was disciplined by the governor and is long long gone, not too funny for her, nonetheless this traffic stop and detainment was and is absolutely lawful in every single detail!
It's scary how calm she is. It's like ,"Oh ,I got this, this is going to be fun."
@Balki Bartokomous You’re a clown
@@iinspireNP No it isn’t. Kansas v Glover. Police can run a tag whenever they want. Clown
@@michaelbottjer3385 It ain't "deep down", it's within the law and would ruin her reputation if she acted on it.
@Balki Bartokomous Everyone should remain calm when the police stop them. Damn you racists really show yall selves. Acting like every other race jumps stupid when police stop them.
