I'm honestly surprised that mezco hasn't switched to wire cape yet. Everybody I see talk about a cape with their figures says that they are going to switch to a wire cape. Love the review! Love the photos and inspiration!! DG BG DYW!
@@Friendly_Neighborhood_Edgelord i haven’t had the best experience with them, for examples when i got mezco magneto i barely even moved the cape and the wire inside cut through the cape. Now my figure has a wire sticking out of the cape. Also normal capes just drape better over the figure and flow naturally.
That's the one Mezco Batman I've got and the one that I consider to be the most definitive of the bunch. That being said though, I think Mezco has some kind of hard on for making Batmen because they make way too many different variations.. Lol.

Just got mine yesterday! It's such a great figure and I love that they threw in the Bruce head even though it didn't show in the promo pics. I really love your reviews, especially when it comes to the articulation. I'm scared to death to push my figures' articulation to the limit, then I see you on here bending, twisting, etc and I feel much better lol!
Definitely worth picking up one. If you have any mezco batman to choose from, pick this one! Like my man says, the cloth used on this suit is much more flexible then the onix edition and looks and poses the best.

I got to help my man out here. Yeah, if you love the new 52 look, this is the batman you need. If you are going to drop $25-30 for a DC direct batman figure, save that cash and go for this $80 Mezco. In my opinion, 100% worth it. It's like owning an awesome posable piece of art!

Awesome video again man! First you got me hooked one the "punk" joker! I saw him at my comic book shop so thanks to you I bought him. Then after this vid, I just had to get this batman! I've had nearly hundreds of batman or joker figured over the years and these two are the best I've ever owned! They are definitely meant to be posed and take pics of. Love them!! I'm honestly a little irritated that they added the Bruce Wayne head to the regular release. That was one of the main selling points that convinced me to go for the PX edition, but now I'm just paying extra for a slightly different color scheme.

How old is your son? I just got this one and a Mezco joker and they are completely amazing pieces of art! But they are not "toys" in the sense of taking them out and playing in the dirt. They are definitely made to be posed and displayed. Take them out of the box ( the box won't tear or anything when take them out) play gently, but if your kid plays too rough or wants to "beat up" other figues, I would recommend a DC direct batman or Wal-Mart "action figure". I have to sat though. I pose mine often and he is the best batman Batman figure I've ever owned and I've owned hundreds

@@christianvalle4188 I ended up getting the Sovereign Knight, my dude. Two reasons: 1. Some ppl complained about quality control on Mafex 2. I have a lot of import figs and Batman figs but nothing like the Sovereign. Like with the bodysuit n stuff. So I wanted to go with something "new" and unique that I can add to the collection. I still might get some of the Hush figures down the line but I know that Mezco stuff sells out so I didnt wanna miss it. Hope this helps, my dude 🤘🏼🦇

I have all three and Tbh I would go with the sovereign knight Batman because he is when Batman is at his peak and he has some kryptonite for Superman just in case
They changed it a bit. The prototype had more lines like the new 52 look but this one looks and poses amazing! Also like he said in the video, you get a bonus Bruce Wayne head that isn't even on the back of the package. Also included but not mentioned on the package is a wired display system (rig) to pose his cape. The rig is pretry much useless and hard to use though.
I really liked the Promo 1st reveal colors at first but seeing the accending knight next to this new one I can see why they went this way, it looks better next to it, the 1st suit they had him on was a little bit darker and would look quite different, Im thinking mezco is thinking most collectors knew they were going to make 3 batmans and would put them one next to another so keeping them as consistent as posible would be a big factor otherweise they would throw off the whole plan of Mezco's take on batman through his carreer.
Hey Nikki. As a huge batman mega-fan, I've owned hundreds of batman figures in my life. This is by far the best. This one beats the onyx mostly for one reason. The clothing is more posable and resembles the comic (new 52, rebirth) more then the onyx. If you like the old school Neal Adams batman from the 70's, Mezco has a PX exclusive grey and blue edition made of this "good" material. Good luck and I hope you puck one up.
Since you didn't get a reply. I got mine from a local comic book shop. You won't find these in Wal-Mart or bookamillion. If you don't have a comic shop locally that caries these, first check out Mezco's website. You may have to be put on a wait list but you can find them on eBay as well. The fair and usual cost is $80 each. Be careful of overpaying on sites like Amazon since they sometimes use independent sellers that can't be verified. ( basically if someone asks $100-200, it's a scam). Definitely worth it for a batman fan!
Mezco are making a Matt black (black belt and bat symbol) onyx version, very much like the all black toy fair ascending knight from last year. I think it’s gonna be their SDCC exclusive. Someone sent me a photo and it looks fantastic, it’s not gonna be cheap so I’d start saving now.
The bodies are definitely the Marvel Legends Demolition Man, and I believe the heads are the Hydra soldier heads from the MCU Red Skull figure that came out last year.
The figure had a major downgrade from the prototype, the forearms are to short and it makes the body look all stocky. His suit also looks as if it is made of a cheaper material, almost as if he is wearing pajamas... Dissapointed me again mezco.
I disagree. Once you own it and see it up close and start posing it, you notice how nice and flexible this material is. The version is a "true batman" (comic version) dream come true. Yeah he is a bit stocky but I love this figure and suit because it just feels like the comic book batman we love. No vinyl rubber bat-suit from the movies
