The role of veronica was written for priyanka chopra but she was busy doing barfi, deepika was approached to play meera but when she read the whole script she requested to play veronica as it is the center character of the film and it changed her life.

Omg, yes, that scene speaks volumes to me. Whenever I feel angry/depressed, I blast this song and relate to Deepika dancing when I am actually very lonely. The juxtaposition of the crowd and alone emphasizes how lonely she is in a big crowd, which is something I relate to.
I feel like this video and song and acting pretty much explain depression and sadness without even conversation between actors.
