The pups are adorable, and Breezy is absolutely gorgeous. Ya'll need somebody to build you an iPad database where you could not only record all your puppy data, but you could also snap pics of them each time they're eval'd. And best of all, that data would be automatically saved and backed up to the cloud. Who said puppy raising and technology can't intersect. :)

And where do you get your charts to fill out for each puppy's markings and whatnot I don't know if you answered that question I had before if you did I'm so sorry I didn't know of it so I like the way your technique is and how you document everything so thoroughly it's very important and I do highly value your educational standards and how you'd like to keep us updated thank you so much for all you do I'm learning a lot

What is the scale that you use that you like so much cuz I need to use that for my puppies that are coming that said they'll be about 11 of them and they'd be a Dalmatian mixed with some other male breed that we're not aware of so this will be interesting and I might get feeling as they'll be due sometime next week if not the following but she's at the tail end of it

Does the ticking in the fur come later? Do all puppies start out white where the ticking will develop? Or should the ticking spots show from day 1 of they will have them?

Getting ready for a first litter. Where did you get your great record templates? Can they be downloaded and printed from somewhere? I like that the birth forms have a place to record a drawing of their markings. Cant find anything like it...

Do german short hair pointers usually have ten puppies?
They look springer spaniel pups to me. Though I’ve never seen a gap new born pup before.
Not springers! You can actually see them be born in one of our videos! As well as follow along with their weekly updates to see the coloration progression as they get older.
Why did you dock tails and get dew claws removed
We decided to follow your advice and wait ti get our GSH spayed but do not want any puppies. We don't have the time or place for them. How do you handle your females when they are in heat to keep from unwanted pregnancies. There are un neutered males in our neighborhood

Ok good deal! We get some doggie panties for them to wear while they are in heat in the house!
If your worried about unwanted pregnancy but don’t want to have her spayed traditionally you could opt for an OSS which is far healthier for the dog she will still have heats but can’t get pregnant and still retain her crucial hormones.x
Im on day 1 do u let puppies feed and stay with mom 24/7 or 2 hrs off 1 hr on

Is it normal to remove dew claws? I know gun dogs have tails shortened for safety.
Dew claws are removed for safety as well.

they might be adorable, but not GSD shepherd, I been raising them for 20 years, the mother don't even have ears that stand up, and shepherd's are not black and white.

why are you cutting their tail?
Rostam R They dock their tails because since these are bird dogs, bred for hunting and retrieving, their tails get very beat-up when working in fields and over time, they can crack and dry and have excessive bleeding. So, by docking their tails when young, they can prevent that drying and bleeding for when they are older. It is a very simple and safe process that causes to bleeding whatsoever, and is completely harmless to the puppy. Hope I helped! 😊
Tail docking. Banned in the UK. Besides genuine dogs that will work, its just for aesthetics.
@@sjmog2751 it is banned but so are many things that shouldn’t be, many breeds require docking very rarely are they docked for aesthetics, have you ever seen happy tail before? It’s absolutely brutal, tail docking is not nearly as traumatic as people think people allow their human emotions get far too involved with dogs. Tail docking is nowhere near as brutal as spaying and neutering a dog especially when a vet does them at such a young age but people don’t think of this because it’s convenient for us as owners to not have to worry about unwanted pregnancies.
I mean respectfully, we don't neuter animals simply for the convenience of people. The biggest benefit is to prevent unwanted animals from being born who will not end up in a good home (and likely in a shelter or euthanized).
Handling to much. I have been watchful with my bitches when they have had pups but let the mother take care of them. I have had no problems.

If they are going to be hunters, the long tails are very easily injured in the field and heavy brush; then they are very difficult to heal!
Their tails can break if they're jumping around in the fields...
My blue healers are docked it also prevents hip pain
