Great video, except dunno why you would adjust the wheel all the way back on the swing arm with the new chain. Typically you do the opposite, adjust the wheel all the way forward so you can keep adjusting it tighter as the chain loosens over time.
Hello, there may be a little confusion here. Go back and watch where Larry starts adjusting the chain--about the 20:26-25:04 mark. The axle/axle blocks are not all the way back, there is still room for adjustment as the chain stretches.
@@chaparralmotorsports Very informative video. I had a rider from the Denver area call me with questions about installing his front sprocket on his YZ450F. I didn't feel confident about giving him advice since I didn't have one in my face. I told him I would do some research and get back to him. I found this video and sent him the link. It explains everything he needed to know in detail. Motorcycles have put food on my table since 1969 but there is always something to learn. I have ordered from Chaparral many times over the years and have absolutely no complaints. Thank you.
Great explanation, very easy to follow and listen to. Thank you sir
Thanks for watching!

23:10 you're right, it's not all the way back, but only 3 notches left.
where did you get those spacers at for the chain adjuster bolts??????
what size is the rear nut?
Great tutorial, how much more different will it be on a 2004 yz450f?
Thanks in advance
+Goldnboy2009 not much at all
Thank you
You're welcome
Thank you !
***** No problem!
What size socket used for the front sprocket bolt?
Hello, I believe nut takes a 27mm socket.
Is it the same for a 2018
Hello, yeah pretty much.
can i run a 14t 53t w a 114 link chain on my 2011 yz450. i 'm thinkin you used 118 links.
No, if you do that set up you would need at least 126 links.
The 120L chain is good to 13 51? Or 130L
Hello, what is the year, make, model of your vehicle? What length chain and sprockets are currently on it?
what about the rear brake
Sorry, I don't follow. What are you asking specifically?
@@chaparralmotorsports you didn’t explain what to do with it when taking off the rear wheel
I can’t get my master link off
Hello, Drill out the rivets? Cut it off?
The case saver needs to crush and fail. Those 6mm bolts will fail and take the cases with them with the stronger "case saver"!
ok

Pathetic ego driven, big mad comment..

Larry when I called chaperall, they couldn't find the listing part or a part number.
